Pastor Parsley shares the beautiful story of the three Marys – and the “great faith” of His mother who held Him as He took His first breath . . . and watched Him take His last. He encourages us all, with the great faith of Mary, to declare “Be it unto me according to Your Word.”
Mary of Clopus was at the Cross. Who was she and who was Clopus? Mary Magdalen was there, too. Was she the "Sinner Woman" mentioned elsewhere in the Gospels? And another Mary was there, too, Mary, the Mother of James and Joses. What do we know about her? And finally, Salome, who was she? Join us for Part 2 of a four-part series on "The Women at the Cross."

In the Gospels, three Marys represent Jesus' kingdom: Mary Mother says "Do what he says", Mary of Bethany calls us to worship boldly, Mary Magdalene calls us to tell your story- "I have seen the Lord!". How is the Lord calling...
Today we explore the three Marys at the foot of the cross, and how they came to be there. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/intheirsandals/support
PNG born songstress Heru Pinkasova & bona fide beatboxer Dr Rhythm will be recalling the good and sometimes dodgy wisdom of our aunties. You know, we all have that one Aunty … But what is an aunty? My sista reckons it's any woman who cares for you, inspires or comforts you. We'll be looking back at great women of colour in music, like Aunty Ella, Aunty Dame Kiri & Aunty Leontyn. Now this Aunty, Heru, will also be getting an up-grade on her operatic rep with Dr Rhythm, who'll be dropping the bass & mixing it up, covering everything from Islander tunes of childhood to Puccini's Turandot (evil aunty), Verdi's The Force of Destiny & Wagner's Tannhäuser.Laugh, cry, be amazed by the human voice and the comfort it brings. The title “Songs my aunties taught me” is a nod towards Dvorák's piece from 1880, “Songs My Mother Taught Me”, in which Dvorák reminisces about music passed from one generation to the next.Heru:“ Opera singer Heru Pinkasova's powerfully rich voice .... was spellbinding, her arias hypnotic and an absolutely regal presence on stage. Every good story has a clear beginning, an opening to the narrative, a middle where the bulk of the necessary information is revealed, and an end where resolution is found. In our last episode we opened the storyline of the Spanish Armada by backing up 100 years and introduced the atmosphere that helped to prepare England for this classic showdown, as well as, some of the precipitating events and controversies. In this episode we will continue the storyline by developing the "squishy" middle. Developing the narrative from a purely English perspective we will look at England from within. The slow march to naval superiority really picks up steam during the reign of Elizabeth. The interaction of the players is exciting. The outcome is all too obvious from decades away. But, like a car accident you are driving by, the events are hard to turn away from. Although the focus of the story is the three Marys, the star of the show is Elizabeth. The most cunning and ruthless of all. Audio Production by Podsworth Media.

Amanda and Sarah dig up some facts on rocks and minerals - kind of. Sarah takes a twisty, turny look at Magdalene crystal energy, only to veer a sharp left into an exploration of the Skull of Mary Magdalene, the Three Marys, and Saint Sarah, aka Sara-la-Kali. Amanda heads down under for a look at Uluru, aka Ayers Rock, a sacred site and national park landmark thought to curse sticky-fingered tourists. Other subjects covered include horse shaving, Amanda's childhood obsession with Australia, and the non-appeal of Monsieur Hulot. Recommendations: Sarah recommends the new A24 film Under the Silver Lake. Amanda recommends the HBO comedy series Los Espooksys and the 1990 creature feature Arachnophobia. When Mary Magdalane, Mary Salome, and Mary Cleopas landed on the shores of pagan France with their group of faithfuls- they had a mighty task to accomplish. Taking refuge under a Roman Temple- they began to preach the word of Jesus- simple and pure, 350 years before Catholicism. Legend says that she brought with her The Holy Grail, and that after her death it was kept safe from invading Saracens and the armies of the Pope's Inquisition. Even the German Nazis joined in the search, convinced thata group of early believers called Cathars had buried it in the catecombs beneath their mountain fortress at Mont Segur. Join us as we sort through a milennium of legends from Southern France to find traces of Mary Magdalene's legacy and the Holy Grail. Finally! The incredible two part story beginning with the journey of "The Three Marys"- Mary Magdalene, Mary Cleopas, and Mary Salome- and their group of believers in a rudderless boat with no sails as they are cast adrift in the Mediterranean Sea after being exiled from Judea by enemies of Christ after his crucifixion. They survive to land on the coast of France and begin to spread the word of Christ in its most basic form. Part Two, which follows in a few days, traces the legends that have sprung up all over Southern France- legends that Mary brought with her The Holy Grail, stories of the Cathars- a large group of followers that made their home and fortress in the foothills of the Pyrenees, rejected Catholicism, and were nearly wiped out by Catholic forces bent upon their destruction, the story of Otto Rahm, the Nazi archeologist who combed the Cathar ruins for the Holy Grail, and the stories of the other exiled passengers on that boat, including Lazarus, Mary Salome, Mary Cleopas, Sidonius, Joseph of Aramathia, and Maximinus- all who would preach the gospel of Jesus to the pagan worshippers that lived under the shadow of Roman occupation. In a tiny town named Sans Marie de la Mer on the Southern coast of France, where the Rhone River empties into the Mediterranean, they still celebrate the coming of a small boat which arrived a little over 2,000 years ago. The boat carried with it a group of Christ believers who had been chased out of Palestine after Jesus's crucifiction and set adrift with no sails, or oars, or rudder- to perish in the Mediterranean Sea. Among this group were Mary Magdalene, Mary Salome, the mother of James and John the Disciples, and Mary Cleopas, like Salome, a sister of Mary, the mother of Jesus.- all witnesses to Jesus Christ's death, and all devout believers. Also in the small entourage- Joseph of Arimathea, who had asked Pontius Pilot for the body of Jesus, Lazarus, whom Jesus had raised from the dead, and other believers who would build churches throughout Europe and spread the word. This is their story, and a story in which we discuss the discovery of the long buried Gnostic Scriptures, the Gospel of Mary, Saul's purging of Christians from the Holy Land, the Coptic Christian sect, and more, In Part two we'll cover the incredible story of Joseph of Arimathea, the man who was Jesus's uncle, the legend of where he took Jesus during those years Jesus was missing from the bible, and his tin mines on the coast of England- tin that the Romans needed.. We'll discuss the legend of Mary Magdale's work and her death in France, and the legend she left behind, as well as the works and the fates of the other Mary;s and their companions on their journey. Okay, Theophiloi, let's get this clear right now: Roy Thomas was the second editor-in-chief of Marvel after Stan Lee, and is often considered to have been the first comics creator to make the leap from fan to pro, so yeah, he's basically Luke. Hope that clears it all up. Now that that's done, break off a hunk of traitor bread and join us as we finally finish with the canonical gospels! This week: the back half of the Gospel of John, aka the Gospel of Travis! Enjoy a not insignificant amount of Gay Content, a good bit of Peter Rehab, and learn that Pontius Pilate was maybe not such a bad guy after all. Plus, a message to all our time traveler listeners! Topics of discussion: another trip to the bar, Lazarus, the Beloved Disciple(s), Apostle vs. Disciple, Mary Magdalene, the Da Vinci Code, and the Magdalena, Christopher Marlowe, King James, and Calcagno causing quite a bit of trouble, John Linen (ugh), a much better idea for Boba Fett, "Catamite," Erastes and Eromenos, Judas (not Iscariot), a weird verse to have on a poster, jalapeno poppers at the last supper, Dante's traitor power rankings, Olive Garden and Golden Corral and their relationship to the divine, the etymology of "Iscariot," Satan going to sleep with a little bread blanket, Teen Peter, St. Procla, the difference between martyrdom narratives and RomComs, Mary of Clopas, the Levirate Law, the Three Marys, the Spear of Destiny, the Passion of the Christ, the Top Five Victims of Crucifixion In History, a very specific number of fish. If you enjoy the show, then why go to http://ko-fi.com/apocrypals and make a love offering? We would appreciate it!

Meditations and Teachings from the Ascended Master Thoth and Mary through Norma Gentile. Given on Aug. 25, 2009.Purchase or download Norma's recordings of Live Sound Healings1 Introduction (1:40)2 Living Well, an essay from Thoth (4:30)Living well is more than just living. Surviving is more than breathing while in physical form. Just beyond the veil or boundary of your thought are worlds that you are about to explore. Just as sailing ships brought you in the past from one port to another, your heart and your ability to trust and know truth when it is presented to you are the vehicles for your journeys now. Your travels will take you into these new realms, through the mists of veils now fading away. 3. Creating Sacred Space (5:06)Staring with an invocation to Nature and invoking your own personal connection to Archangel Michael4 Reality is in the Beholder's Eye from Thoth (5:01)As you are in the presence of anything and everything, it is a part of your world, and it vibrates in accordance with your world. As you move into this new cycle (after 2012) you move into a new space of vibration, and so new levels of consciousness. Not only does the planet, your solar system and your galaxy pass through a new region physical space, but the Universe herself expands its outermost boundaries.5 Observations on Channeling and Thoth (5:57) The information that comes through me comes as Thoth sits next to me or near me. When I channel Archangel Michael his energy surrounds me and fills the room. Some people allow a being or consciousness to enter into their body. Here are two reasons why I don't do that with Thoth.6 Meditation - Finding the Still Point in Change from Nature and the Three Marys (8:22)Both of these energies, the Pure Energy of Nature and the energies of the combined Biblical Marys, are archetypal. What is happening in this moment in the planet is stoking the fires of fear, rather than stoking the fires of passion and personal expression. The Divine Feminine is a lovely way to let yourself feel the container of your own soul and your own body, and to feel the safety in which you are always and already held.7 Love is the container of Our World – Mary (7:55)Fear can flavor a world, just as love can contain a world. There is a fear that arises from deep within us when we encounter external chaos and cannot find our inner core stillness. Your spirit desires to step forward out of love, not fear.8 Our Over-reliance on the Physical – Thoth (3:40)Thoth's purpose in sharing his vision is to prepare us for a time down the road, which could be 30-40 years or much later in our linear time line. It is important for us to recall that our goal of maintaining the health of the physical body is not to maintain it here strictly within the 3rd dimension but to allow it to be in conscious communion with the upper and lower dimensions. This allows the veils between all of the dimensionsto begin to fade away. Then the body becomes more permeable. The skin itself becomes more permeable. 9 A Meditation for The New You –The Empowerment Breath (6:22)This greenest sprout, the new you is being birthed. As you build this newest part of you, whatever it reflects will be reflected to you from the outer world. Here is a simple mediation, done with clear intention, to empower your birth.10 Releasing Nature Sphere, Guides, Angels (6:15)Be sure to listen to this section so your personal energy is not being drained maintaining the sacred grids that were created at the beginning. In releasing the conscious and magnified connection to our guides and angels we let all of their energies continue onto whatever else they need to do.11 Q & A Loosing Consciousness during Healing or Meditation (2:05)People sometimes feel as if they have entered into dream state or some altered state during the meditations and healings. This happens for a reason. And its part of the healing process.12 For more information: www.HealingChants.comTotal Time: 58 minutesPurchase this podcast as a CDPurchase or download Norma's recordings of Live Sound Healings
