Doogie dropped some mini-scoops like Everson Griffen not returning this year, the word behind the Bashaud Breeland dismissal, and the current thinking about change and how it may effect Mike Zimmer, Rick Spielman, and Kirk Cousins. …And more. The Vikes came off an ugly win on Monday night versus the Chicago Bears at Soldier Field, and now will face the Sean McVey led Rams at US Bank Stadium on Sunday at noon. This game has playoff implications for both teams and it should be an all out affair. Can the Vikings beat this year‘s Rams? Can they win and get over .500 for the first time since the 2019 season? Your Minnesota Vikings are now in survival mode. The problem is that the Pittsburgh Steelers are too, and they meet tonight in US Bank Stadium. The Steelers came off a big emotional win versus the Ravens. The Vikings are coming off a situation clarifying loss against the Lions. Which team will take the most advantage of that? Our Vikings, but again it was too close. The Vikes will be wearing their Primetime Purple as we all watch in anticipation. One of the anticipations will be to see how Anthony Barr and Eric Kendricks get to play with the Meaty Boys, Dalvin Tomlinson and Michael Pierce in front of them for the first time since training camp. Can they, with the rest of the defense shut down and take advantage of the aging Ben Roethlisberger and the Steelers offense? They did in the first half. Can the Vikings O-line keep Kirk Cousins from being sacked from the defense that leads the league in sacks led by TJ Watt and Cameron Hayward? They did! Can Justin Jefferson still be as effective with Adam Thielen out? He was for the most part. Cook had a heck of a game. We will all find out with you, and will be going live in the final two minutes of the game with The Final Score. 1) Highlights 2) Lowlights 3) Speed round and your questions 4) What's ahead The Final Score [the name for CTP's Postgame show] is ready for the season. There are 4 new regulars and the occasional guest. The focus will be on you the fan, and how you felt the team did. Hopefully racking up the wins in the regular season. It gets dark early this time of the year. We all know that. We just didn't expect it with our football team. After the loss to the Detroit Lions, your Minnesota Vikings are looking to rebound against the Pittsburgh Steelers. The question is, does it matter? They will be playing in US Bank Stadium, in primetime, on Thursday night. It looks like the Mike Zimmer era is winding down to a close. Can having a good chunk of his defense back healthy be the catalyst to start a winning streak? Would it be enough to save his job? How about that of Rick Spielman? And is Kirk Cousins playing well enough early, versus waiting until later in the game when the defense is gassed, to make this all work? On tonight show, Matt, Ryan, and Dave will be looking at that. We will follow the normal Vikings Happy hour format until we get into the preview, and then dive into that stat look That you expect from the Two Old Bloggers show. Speaking of trades, the deadline is quickly approaching on November 2nd. Will the Vikings be active this year? Does it depend on how they do against the Cowboys, Sunday night from US Bank Stadium? The next 4 weeks of the schedule, we should really find out what we have in this team. Are they really good and competitive, or just a mash of meh level play and decisions without the outstanding bits never really gelling and amounting to something? What do you think? Join the crew led by Jayson as it is all discussed with you, the fan. Paul Catalina, the host of the BLEAV in the Cowboys podcast with the guys. Great conversation will ensue. SKOL! On tonight's show… Agenda: - Weatherly traded - Should the Vikings be buyers or sellers or stand pat as the trade deadline nears?  - Buyers: what positions make the most sense?   - Sellers: any vets they should consider trading away? - Cowboys/post bye week schedule. - Realistic expectations? It's Monday and your Minnesota Vikings are coming off their bye. In the Sunday night game, they will host the Dallas Cowboys coming off theirs. Will Dak Prescott play? That could be the linchpin as to answering the question of which team will US Bank Stadium be a house of horrors for. From the Cowboys' O-line and their weapons, with a healthy Prescott, they can be deadly. Will they? Will the Mike Zimmer defense scheme a way to shut them down, especially without Patrick Peterson? Can the Vikes' offense stay aggressive throughout the entire game? Will Kirk Cousins come out hot? Can they outscore good teams like Dallas? All these and more will be some of the topics covered. There is a little echo in the beginning, but that does get cleared up, so plow right through like Dalvin Cook slicing through the Cowboys' D-Line. Other talking points for tonight's show:  - Which O-line will dominate? - Which running back combo will be more effective? - Can Mike Zimmer have Bashaud Breeland and Cameron Dantzler shut down Cedrick Wilson and CeeDee Lamb? - How will Christian Darrisaw in his second start look against Randy Gregory?  - Will Michael Pierce be healthy for the game? - Impressions around the league both teams watched yesterday. Fan with us!!! Tyler Forness @TheRealForno, and Deshawn Vaughan @vikingsfans16, with special Cowboys expert guest Billy Kraemer. In the truck is Dave Stefano @Luft_Krigare producing this @Climb_ThePocket Network's & @DailyNorseman's production. ________________________________________________________________________ Subscribe to us here! - https://www.youtube.com/climbingthepocket Catch the show here: https://youtu.be/4diX7g0ZlBA Learn more about your ad choices. The Minnesota Vikings have now won their first game against the Seattle Seahawks in a packed US Bank Stadium. Will things get easier for them? Heck no! They will now face one of the team's favorite coaches who developed in Minnesota for 14 years, Kevin Stefanski, and his very, very good Cleveland Browns. Baker Mayfield is quite the capable quarterback and with weapons like Nick Chubb, Kareem Hunt, Odell Beckham Jr and some complimentary players behind the 2nd ranked [by DVOA] offensive line, the Vikings defense will be tested once again. Mayfield may not be joystick-type mobile like the last 2 QBs the Vikes faced, but he can move and be dangerous. The defense will be tested. The Vikings' offense is no slouch either, and the combination of Kirk Cousins' outstanding play and Klint Kubiak getting more comfortable calling good and modern games, will have to continue in their growth and success for the Vikings to win. Can they? Dave and Darren who both started blogging on the Purple decades ago will go over a way to possibly start a winning streak, so get ready for the Climbing The Pocket and Daily Norman pregame show! Talking points for the Browns-Vikings preview show:  1) Vikings' front seven has to slow down Browns' two-headed RB monster - Chubb and Hunt. Chips? 2) Vikings O-line needs to play competently against Browns front seven and have a game plan to block Myles Garrett.  3) Cousins needs to continue to play error-free football but also push the ball down the field and Kubiak needs to be less predictable when he calls for running plays and be less conservative in the red zone in the second half (we want TDs, not field goals). The Vikings are 0-2 going into today. Their backs are against the wall and the winning needs to start! They did just that. Mike Zimmer led his team out for the home opener. US Bank Stadium was loud and rocking'! The SKOL Chant rained down, and I wonder if we heard chants for Odin, like from the Purple of old? Kirk Cousins continued his good, down right outstanding, play. Did the defense feast? No, but they did make adjustments that kept Seattle from scoring in the second half. All this as the Minnesota Vikings faced off against the Seattle Seahawks. These games count, and we're live at the last whistle. The Final Score crew and you the fans will discuss it here! 1) Highlights 2) Lowlights 3) Speed round and your questions 4) What's ahead The Final Score [the name for CTP's Postgame show] is ready for the season. The Minnesota Vikings have now lost 2 games in a row by a total of 4 points. People say it was because of just two plays. Do you believe that? If you win on a lot more plays, these two aren't necessary. It is however for health of the Vikings' season that they grab victory against the Seattle Seahawks. This has been a team that has beaten Mike Zimmer's Vikings every time they have played. Will this game be any different? This will be the first time the Seahawks have taken on the Vikings at US Bank Stadium. The stadium, packed full of fans chanting Odin, and SKOL, will make a difference. They should have the Seahawks offensive linemen false starting. The Vikings defense which has yet to jell in two games, can now feed off the fans making noise, cheering, and down right amped up energy that flows within that glorious bowl and ETFE roof. Russell Wilson is getting older, but may be wiser and can still hurt you. He has two wide receivers in DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett that the purple secondary will have to shut down. A hard task when Bashaud Breeland hasn't lived up to expectations. Will we see Cameron Dantzler eventually take over? The “Meaty Boys” on the defensive line should have a better day, but Wilson can still run. Can they contain him? Then can the Vikes' offense continue to cook? Kirk Cousins has been playing well and a legitimate WR3 has been found in KJ Osborn. Can the running game get going, and set up more play-action? Dalvin Cook is recovering from an ankle injury and hasn't practiced all week. We might see more of Alexander Mattison as a result. The big question though is can the Vikings get the win and beat the Seahawks? On list topics: 1) Chris Carson - who has averaged 4.6 yards per carry against us.  2) Russell Wilson and his career stats against the Vikings. 3) Conerbacks D.J. Reed and Tre Flowers. 4) What kind of performance will Justin Jefferson, Adam Thielen and KJ ‘Ozzy' Osborn need to have a day against those guys?  5) Vikings corners Bashaud Breeland, Patrick Peterson, and Mackensie Alexander expectations. If they don't play better Sunday it's going to be another frustrating day for us Viking fans because someone needs to cover DJ Metcalf and Tyler Lockett.
