This is a free preview of a paid episode. To hear more, visit www.golongtd.comSo, it all comes down to this in the NFC North: the Detroit Lions vs. the Minnesota Vikings with all of America watching. Ford Field will be ear-splitting. Homefield advantage is on the line. All season, we've been diving into the film on the “Ty & Bob Pod.” All season, the Packers, Lions and Vikings have exchanged body blows. Now, the tournament is closing in and you better know what you're looking at in the mirror. Dan Campbell refused to heed Troy Aikman's advice and played to win in Santa Clara. Detroit's offense is humming along. The defense? That's another story. Can Dan Campbell piece together a Super Bowl run? That No. 1 seed would certainly help. At U.S. Bank Stadium, Kevin O'Connell's team punked Matt LaFleur's Packers. The final score (27-25) was not indicative of the punishment. Big-game talk may be “bothersome” to LaFleur but it's undeniably concerning that he hasn't beaten the top teams. Green Bay wants to be a more physical outfit on offense, but it might be smart for LaFleur to unleash his $220 million dollar quarterback. This is a coach who tends to lose his cool on the sideline, too. We discuss how each of these teams are an extension of their coach. Green Bay went 0-4 against Detroit and Minnesota this season and McGinn's numbers behind this record are startling. Is there time for the Packers to find themselves? Of course. There are a few answers out there on both sides of the ball. Paid subscribers can access the entire episode. Audio is above. Video is below. And, icymi, here's my conversation with Bruce Smith on “How the NFL Works.”Thanks, all.
The Minnesota Vikings beat the Green Bay Packers 27-25 on Sunday at U.S. Bank Stadium, and as is their fashion, they turned a dominating performance into a stomach-churning, nail-biting, last-minute win to keep pace with Detroit Lions atop the NFC North division. At 14-2, the Vikings now must beat the Lions next week at Ford Field and they will become the top seed in the NFC and have home field advantage throughout the playoffs. But it almost didn't happen.

Ben Goessling, Andrew Krammer and Emily Leiker discuss the Vikings' 27-25 win over the Packers from U.S. Bank Stadium, where they talked to players and coaches afterward about what exactly happened between the 20-3 lead to another fourth-quarter rally by Packers quarterback Jordan Love. But it fell short again. And the Vikings were victorious... again. They're 14-2 with a chance to take the "little hats" back from the Lions, although they'd get their own NFC North hats with a win next week.
Welcome to the Vikings Postgame Report. The Minnesota Vikings continued their winning ways by beating the Green Bay Packers 27-25 in their regular season home finale at U.S. Bank Stadium. The Packers scored first on a 49-yard field goal by McManus, but the Vikings took over from there. The Vikings outscored the Packers 27-7 in the 2nd and 3rd quarters, but the Packers made it interesting with two 4th quarter touchdowns to cut the lead to 2. The Vikings closed out the game with a 7 play, 24-yard drive to run out the clock. Sam Darnold finished 33-of-43 passing for 377 yards, 3 touchdowns, and a pick. Justin Jefferson notched 100 receptions on the season with an 8 reception game for 92 yards. Jalen Nailor also had a great night with 5 receptions for 81 yards and the opening touchdown of the game. Cam Akers and Jordan Addison caught the other touchdown passes from Darnold on Sunday. Aaron Jones led the Vikings on the ground with 12 carries for 47 yards. Kicker Will Reichard went 2 of 4 on field goals and 3 of 3 on PAT's. Defensively, the Vikings got 3 combined sacks from Andrew Van Ginkel, Blake Cashman, and Dallas Turner. Cam Bynum had an early fumble recovery from Josh Jacobs on the opening drive and the Vikings defense made multiple key fourth down stops throughout the game. Paul Allen and Pete Bercich breakdown the week 17 win, including: the Packers made the game interesting late, Sam Darnold was cold blooded once again, the defense brought the pressure, and the implications of playing for a #1 seed in Detroit next week. Plus, Kevin O'Connell and Sam Darnold spoke in the postgame press conferences about the victory. Ben Goessling and Andrew Krammer preview the latest chapter between the Vikings and Packers on Sunday afternoon at U.S. Bank Stadium, where this may be the most significant matchup in recent memory. They've played for division titles before, but the Vikings' pursuit of the No. 1 overall seed (and division title) can hinge on this game, and the Packers (11-4) are rolling off back-to-back decisive wins. Green Bay also needs this win for playoff positioning -- or risk falling to the No. 7 seed and a first-round trip to potential No. 2 seed Philadelphia.
So you're telling me there is a chance - Matthew Coller, Purple Insider joins Susie to preview the big home matchup between the Purple and the Packers at U.S. Bank Stadium and we also dive into some of the Super Bowl favorites down the stretch!

Jamin Davis tallied the lone Vikings sack on the day and C.J. Ham recovered a key special team's fumble recovery in the 4th quarter. The Vikings will be back at U.S. Bank Stadium next Monday night against the Chicago Bears for Monday Night Football. Paul Allen and Pete Bercich breakdown the Vikings 6th straight victory, including: Sam Darnold going to another level this week, turnovers once again being the key stat for the game, the importance of playing a complete game, Atlanta's choice to play our WR's with single coverage, and the highly competitive playoff push facing the Vikings for the final 4 weeks. Andrew Krammer, Michael Rand, and new Star Tribune writer Emily Leiker preview Sunday's game against the Falcons and quarterback Kirk Cousins, who returns to Minnesota after six eventful seasons for the Vikings from 2018-2023. What will the reception be like at U.S. Bank Stadium? How will he fare against a better Brian Flores defense than the one he practiced against last season? And how does quarterback Sam Darnold look in comparison after the Vikings "settled" for him in free agency last March?
Introduction: It's a Vikings-heavy show with three different guests, starting with Nick Brady. He was sitting in the stands at U.S. Bank Stadium on Sunday when the Fox cameras caught him with the perfect expression. Soon thereafter, his phone started blowing up. Brady explains it all. 12:00: Vikings writer Andrew Krammer joins host Michael Rand for hot takeaways and a review of the film from the 23-22 win over Arizona. Stephon Gilmore's hamstring looms large over the season. 35:00: Vikings poetry. 48:00: The Wolves mauled the Lakers.
It was around 15 degrees outside U.S. Bank Stadium when the Minnesota Vikings kicked off against the Arizona Cardinals. And it took the team a while to heat up. But they pulled off a stunning comeback in the final minutes of the game. It was the perfect weather for the Minnesota Frost who began their second season on the ice. Our sports contributors Wally Langfellow and Eric Nelson joined the program to talk about this and other sports news.

Ben Goessling, Andrew Krammer and Chip Scoggins discuss the Vikings' 23-22 win over the Cardinals on Sunday from U.S. Bank Stadium, where quarterback Sam Darnold gave people more reasons to believe in his ability to win. For the second straight game, Darnold led a game-winning drive. But for the first time, the defense had to weather the loss of Stephon Gilmore. For how much longer? Cornerback Byron Murphy Jr. got his 'skimask' revenge, and safety Harrison Smith says he's not injured after sitting out part of the game.
Welcome to the Vikings Postgame Report. The Minnesota Vikings continued their winning ways and defeated the Arizona Cardinals 23-22 on Sunday at U.S. Bank Stadium. The Vikings and Cardinals traded field goals once again and the Vikings again went 70 yards and hit Aaron Jones for a 5-yard touchdown pass to take the lead for good. Shaquill Griffin sealed the game for the Vikings on a 4th down interception with 0:40 left in the 4th quarter. Sam Darnold finished the game 21-of-31 for 235 yards passing, 2 passing touchdowns, and 22 yards rushing. Darnold, Aaron Jones, and Cam Akers all finished with 22 yards rushing. Ben Goessling and Andrew Krammer recap the Vikings' 21-13 win over the Colts at U.S. Bank Stadium. What is there to take from a rather ugly game? Vikings defenders probably wouldn't say it was ugly. They're 6-2 and right where they want to be. But there are still plenty of areas to dissect between quarterback Sam Darnold's enigmatic outing, running back Aaron Jones' new No. 2, another controversial missed call with a hit to Darnold's helmet, and some defensive dominance against Colts quarterback Joe Flacco.
Welcome to the Vikings Postgame Report. The Minnesota Vikings Defeat The Indianapolis Colts 21-13 at U.S. Bank Stadium on Sunday Night to improve to 6-2. The Vikings tied the game early in the 3rd quarter on a 4-yard touchdown pass to Jordan Addison. The Vikings added 2 more touchdown passes to Jalen Nailor and Josh Oliver in the 2nd half to take a 21-10 lead. The Colts added a field goal at the backend of the 4th but the Vikings recovered a late onside kick to seal the victory. Sam Darnold was 28-of-34 for 290 yards passing, tossed 3 touchdowns, and had 2 interceptions. Aaron Jones led the Vikings running attack with 64 yards on the ground and 18 yards through the air. Paul Allen and Pete Bercich breakdown the victory from U.S. Bank stadium, including: the defense stepping up big versus the Colts rushing game, Cam Robinson stepping in for Christian Darrisaw, the domination in time of possession, Darnold's comfort in throwing to Hockenson, and look ahead to the Vikings upcoming road schedule. The best game of the season, to date, was played at U.S. Bank Stadium on Sunday. Detroit took this heavyweight brawl vs. Minnesota, 31-29. Jared Goff was nearly perfect. Jahmyr Gibbs continues to prove Brad Holmes and Dan Campbell right. The Lions had a handle of Brian Flores' wacky pressures. And with so many pass rushers out, the Lions relied on pickle-lid tight coverage in the secondary. It was an impressive afternoon for a roste besieged by injury. Here on the Ty & Bob Pod with Hall of Fame sports writer Bob McGinn, we dissect the game in full.Maybe the Vikings lost, but they proved they're also ready to contend. Sam Darnold was damn good in his own right. Jonathan Greenard is worth every penny, too.Around the one hour-mark, we shift our conversation to the Green Bay Packers' 24-22 win over the Houston Texans. A healthy Packers team is taking care of business. The Jordan Love Experience was in full effect at Lambeau Field. We prefer the quarterback willing to take chances ‘round here.Meanwhile, Jeff Hafley is off to one of the best starts McGinn has seen out of a first-year Packers defensive coordinator. Finally, the McGinn Memory is another classic. Once upon a time, high school teams played at Lambeau Field. How much did the defense miss Blake Cashman's presence in the middle, where Jared Goff seemingly had his way?
