It was a great signing for the Los Angeles Chargers to re-sign speedster Jalen Guyton, but that should not stop the team from still taking a wide receiver early in the draft. Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts just signed a mega deal and it gives some great insight into what Justin Herbert's contract could look like. The Los Angeles Chargers defense has struggled under Brandon Staley and it remains mostly unchanged this offseason. If Joey Bosa can stay healthy and return to form, the defense would improve dramatically. The Chargers were elite defensively down the stretch last season, but the wins came against an uninspiring list of quarterbacks. Free Agency has been great for the Los Angeles Chargers clearing cap space and filling major starting roles with Eric Kendricks and Trey Pipkins. Tom Telesco has done a good job not overpaying so far, but will have to find more great deals to fill in the cracks on the Chargers roster. With most starting jobs accounted for the key depth pieces are what needs to be addressed next. The Chargers have stars like Keenan Allen and Joey Bosa at EDGE rusher and receiver, but finding depth at those positions is crucial given their injuries in 2022. The tight end position is less of a need now with Los Angeles re-signing Donald Parham.
