Tempers can often get the best of us. While some use the opportunity to verbally vent frustration, others lean more towards the physical aspect. So wether you're screaming it up or punching it out, we all have a breakingpoint! Joined by two of the biggest muthafuckas I know, the acting bros Ivelaw Peters and Alex Jones stop to discuss me fighting my neighbor, Alex's barroom brawl, playing a slave on film and Ivelaw's deepest sexual desires! Don't miss this one...or I'll have your legs broken! IG - Ivelaw: @ivelaw_peters / Alex: @superdadalex
This week The TV boys sit down to discuss Daniel Kaluuya. From the critically acclaimed Get Out to timeless Dr. Who, he never fails to impress. We can’t say enough great things about him, but we certainly try.
Nick, Ali & Cev are joined by Gary Bailey from God Is A Geek to discuss the well dressed and underpopulated London of WELCOME TO THE PUNCH amongst the usual meandering conversation that includes the usual pile of random stuff...
A THRILLING episode in which the boys discuss some of the big thrillers that were released in March. Mark makes a cheap joke about Richard Gere and Stuart has to make a big decision regarding a mobile phone. They also briefly touch upon Rosario Dawson's vagina. (Not literally.) Under discussion this month: Arbitrage, Side Effects, Welcome to the Punch and Trance. P.S. Mark has covertly snuck in a drinking game for all you grown up listeners. Every time he says "Yeah" take a drink. You're very welcome.
This week we find out if we are ready for Ready For Love. Fava beans are go with Hannibal, and the highly original new series Orphan Black is also on the menu. Dark Skies has us hiding under the duvet and Mark is abducted before we can hear what he thought of Welcome To The Punch.
Relembramos ainda Roger Ebert. Finalmente, analisamos Rust and Bone, The Deep Blue Sea (e comparamo-lo com o Take This Waltz), G.I. Joe: Retaliation e a sua mensagem progressista, Sur la piste du Marsupilami, Gambit, Welcome To The Punch e o regresso de Taxi Driver às salas de cinema. http://archive.org/download/cinema_Ep71/ep73.mp3
The Empire Podcast celebrates its first birthday in this very special (and extra silly) 52nd episode. Joining the usual gang of film-loving misfits are The Last Exorcism Part II's Eli Roth and Welcome To The Punch duo Eran Creevy and Mark Strong (yep, him again), making this an interview-packed spectacular. So get your downloading fingers at the ready and join us for bad jokes, movie birthday chat and reviews of The Incredible Burt Wonderstone, The Paperboy, Red Dawn and more...
Mark and Simon run down the Box Office Top 10 and review the week's new movies including Welcome To The Punch, The Incredible Burt Wonderstone and Red Dawn.
With Mark Lawson. Actor Mark Strong is familiar from TV dramas including Our Friends in the North, Prime Suspect and The Long Firm, and feature films such as Green Lantern, Sherlock Holmes and Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy. He now co-stars in Welcome To The Punch, playing a notorious criminal alongside James McAvoy's embittered cop. He reflects on playing villains, acting in slow motion and the art of wearing wigs. Author Tash Aw discusses his new novel, Five Star Billionaire. Set in Shanghai, the story is told from the perspective of five migrant Malaysian workers. Sketch comedy duo Anna Crilly and Katy Wix have a new TV series starting this week, which showcases their comic creations and satirizes well-known TV formats. They discuss their new characters and continuing the long tradition of comedy double acts. Producer: Olivia Skinner.
