In this episode of the Planet MicroCap Podcast, I spoke with Maj Soueidan, founder of GeoInvesting and MS MicroCaps, to dig into what three decades of micro-cap investing actually teaches you - including the lessons that only come from painful round trips and hard resets. We break down his current stance on speaking with management and what that's revealed about hunting in the right universe, how he's using AI to sharpen his information arbitrage edge without losing the manual process that built it, and what the 120-bagger experience of KORU Medical Systems really required psychologically to hold through. We also touch on the one thing he wishes he'd understood earlier in his career — risk management. We mention several companies during this conversation and I'm not a shareholder in any of them. Dive into the fascinating world of arbitrage betting, risk management, and innovation in the gambling industry through expert insights. Sergi Mykhailenko, Chief Product Officer at Odds Market and Betburger, shares the latest trends, technological shifts, and future prospects shaping this dynamic sector. In conversation with hosts Fintan Costello and Jon Bruford, we get into evolution, risk management, prediction markets, and punters – and of course, much more. Things we talk about, but in a list: Sergi explains arbitrage as exploiting discrepancies between sportsbooks, highlighting how they use automated systems to identify thousands of opportunities every second. The discussion covers how sportsbooks' risk management is evolving with AI and data, shortening average account lifespans due to increased technological sophistication. The industry is shifting towards crypto-based platforms with minimal KYC, creating new opportunities and risks for sharp bettors.Prediction markets are seen as a significant frontier, especially with crypto integration and regulatory arbitrage in various countries.Sergi emphasizes the importance of volume and diversification for sharp players, and how bookmakers attempt to detect and restrict successful arbitrageurs. The conversation also touches on the future of in-play arbitrage, the role of data-driven decision making, and how regulation shapes market opportunities.Choice quotes: "I think I may have found the world's easiest job. It's basically hot and sunny in Las Vegas for three hundred and sixty days of the year." Banks have built trillion-dollar empires on a very simple business model: borrowing money at a low rate and lending it out at a higher rate to pocket the spread. In this episode, we break down how everyday investors can replicate this exact framework using the cash value of their life insurance policies through a strategy known as policy loan arbitrage.By borrowing against a well-structured life insurance policy at a lower interest rate, investors can deploy that capital into higher-yielding vehicles like senior secured private credit funds. This allows your capital to compound in two places at once, generating true passive income and building wealth without relying on stock market volatility.Key Topics DiscussedThe core banking business model of pocketing interest rate spreadsHow to leverage life insurance cash value for policy loan arbitrageMaintaining uninterrupted compound growth inside a life insurance policyInvesting in first-lien, asset-backed private credit fundsCalculating the net income spread between loan costs and investment returnsUtilizing the Amagos Income Fund for consistent monthly passive incomeBuilding a patient capital engine for long-term generational wealthKey TakeawaysWealthy individuals build systems that allow their capital to work simultaneously in multiple places. You can borrow against your life insurance cash value without triggering a taxable event or surrendering the policy.Deploying borrowed capital at a 10% return while paying a 5.5% loan rate creates a highly effective 4.5% passive income spread.Senior secured private credit prioritizes downside protection and capital preservation over high-risk equity plays.Successful policy loan arbitrage requires discipline, a well-structured policy, and a reliable high-yield investment vehicle.Connect & Take Action:Wealth Intelligence Brief: Text "WIB" to 844-447-1555 to get Matty's free macro data, real estate intel, and crypto signals delivered to your inbox 3 times a week.Imagos Income Fund: Text "INCOME" or "DEALS" to 844-447-1555 to learn more about Matty A's private debt fund targeting 10% fixed returns paid out monthly.

TL;DR $XMR integration is targeting version 3.18, with the PR nearly ready to merge and chaosnet testing next. $DOT and $TAO are also being built as substrate chain clients for the same release. Chad proposed a dynamic fee model that adjusts swap fees per THORName and per trading pair using statistical analysis, allowing THORChain to be price-competitive where it needs to be without sacrificing revenue from captive interfaces. Opt-in chain client security is being developed so node operators can choose which chains to run, enabling THORChain to scale to many more chains without requiring every validator to run every daemon. The dev fund address change (ADR25) is stuck at 36% approval. Nine Realms wraps up this month, so nodes need to vote immediately to stop funds going to an inactive team. CoinGecko and Gecko Terminal now have live THORChain trading data across all pairs. Stefan Stadie is a professional sports trader at Kero Sports whose work sits at the intersection of equities, sports betting, and prediction markets. After starting his trading journey in equities, Stefan evolved toward a more process-driven approach focused on price, liquidity, and market behavior. Today, his edge comes less from predicting outcomes and more from identifying mispricing, capturing inefficiencies, and operating across multiple markets in real time. In this conversation, Stefan shares how the same principles—crowd psychology, liquidity, and price discovery—show up across different environments, from stocks to sports to decentralized prediction markets. He also walks through his transition into arbitrage and market making, how he approaches risk, and what it takes to stay disciplined when operating in fast-moving, competitive markets. This episode offers a different lens on trading—one that challenges traditional thinking around prediction, edge, and where opportunity actually comes from. In this episode, we explore: ·        Why trading principles can transfer across completely different markets ·        The role of liquidity and crowd behavior in shaping price ·        Moving from directional trading to arbitrage and market making ·        How mispricing creates opportunity across fragmented markets ·        The reality of being limited or banned by sportsbooks ·        Differences between traditional financial markets and emerging prediction markets ·        Managing psychology and discipline in fast-moving environments ·        Why focusing on price—not opinion—can change your approach to trading About Stefan Stadie: Stefan is a professional sports trader at Kero Sports, specializing in market structure, arbitrage, and market making. He also trades equities and participates in prediction markets, applying a consistent framework centered on liquidity, psychology, and price discovery across different trading environments.   Links + Resources: ·        X (Twitter):  https://x.com/BronzeBeardd   Sponsor of Chat With Traders Podcast:  ●       Trade The Pool:  http://www.tradethepool.com   Time Stamps: Please note: Exact times will vary depending on current ads.  00:00 Introduction 04:39 Early life, education and entry into oil & gas06:18 2020 oil crash and negative crude prices08:14 Early trading career, swing trades and going full-time09:18 Trading mistakes, position sizing and risk management11:33 Trading during the COVID crash and learning resources12:41 Transition to short selling and strategy shift14:14 Liquidity events and shorting tactics16:53 Entry into predictive markets and sports betting18:23 Arbitrage strategies and OddsJam scanner21:38 Bans from retail sportsbooks and joining Kiro Sports26:37 Polymarket, peer-to-peer exchanges and crypto betting29:04 How prices are set and market-making basics35:32 Market-making tactics, spreads and target returns40:31 Directional positions and daily activity in predictive markets41:43 Parlays, selling parlays and house edge44:10 Growth, regulation and insider-risk in prediction markets49:20 Comparisons with financial markets: liquidity, edge and crowds01:01:54 Gamification, responsible use, psychology and advice for newcomers01:10:00 Closing remarks and contact information   Trading Disclaimer:  Trading in the financial markets involves a risk of loss.
