Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
Hemos ido a Granada, a Arona, a La ALdea y a Maspalomas.

Episode 11 brought much satisfaction and one last "I told you so" moment for the Russell fans still watching. As Stephanie predicted, the storm wiped out the last Zapatera members that threw the challenge and sent Russell packing. Now, many of you are hoping that this season will redeem itself and end the predictability that appears to have left many bored with the last few weeks. This week, you shared some surprising grooming observations as well as several theories for how the end game will play out that gave us lots to think about. For each episode, we provide 3 podcasts: an episode recap, an interview with the castoff, and a chance for Survivor fans like yourself to sound off on what you saw and how you think the castaways are fairing in the game. Twenty three fans shared their thoughts on episode 11 and predictions for what we'll see next. We want to thank and acknowledge everyone who contributed to another great Listener Feedback show. This week we heard from: Caryl, Dave, Randall, Paul, Casey, Lil' Russ, John, Glenn, Ryan, Windy, Tyler, MikeK, Tammy, Michal, Brad, Aaron, Brian, Mario, KathyS, Jen, BradP, DrewG and IronDave. The total domination of Zapatera is almost complete. With all of the remaining members at Redemption Island, there is only one chance for a Zapatera to return to the game now. Given the divine intervention that Matt receives in the duels, that seems very unlikely. Be honest. Some of you are starting to think that Phillip has tapped into a higher power too, right? How else can you explain the manifestation of feathers and most importantly the vision that enabled him to find his shorts? Now it gets interesting. Ometepe has to finally turn on each other. Do you think they will take the easy route and vote out Andrea? Will she accept that fate or go down fighting? If Matt makes it back from Redemption Island and into the final 3 against Rob, will he be able to beat him? What is your assessment of this group? Do you think we will have a jury that respects gameplay or will we see another classic bitter vote against the person that beat them? What is your guess for the vote out order of the remaining Ometepes? Here is the merged tribe after episode 11. Murlonio:Andrea, Ashley, Grant, Natalie, Phillip and Rob Redemption Island Duel:Steve vs. Ralph vs. Matt vs. Mike Jo Ann thinks Andrea will Rob's first target. Stacy thinks the ladies will demand that Phillip get the boot next. Who is your pick for the next one to be voted out? We've got several ways you can reach us. We've seen race come up as in issue in previous seasons, most recently in Samoa, but this episode Phillip took things to a whole different level. As much as we enjoy all his goofy antics, it was really uncomfortable to watch him come unglued and attack Steve. Did you buy his explanation? Do you think he was justified in his outburst? The Robfather appears to have an iron grip on the fate of the remaining Zapatera members. Is it safe enough for him to start voting out some of the Ometepe tribe now? Do you think Zapatera made the right call with the rice? Phillip appears to be really unstable. Can you think of a scenario where he could win the $1M? Do you think Matt or Mike really has a shot at winning if they return from Redemption Island? Here is the merged tribe after episode 10. Murlonio:Andrea, Ashley, Grant, Natalie, Phillip, Ralph, Rob and Steve Redemption Island Duel:Julie vs. Matt vs. Mike Jo Ann thinks Rob will continue the Zapatera death march and target Steve next. Stacy thinks they will finally get rid of Phillip now that the numbers advantage is so strong. Who is your pick for the next one to be voted out? We've got several ways you can reach us. Episode 9 with its two challenges, and two tribal councils left many of you feeling rushed and somewhat unfulfilled as no one actually left the game. A few said it was boring and predictable as the demise of the original Zapatera tribe follows its course. We agreed with the good points several of you made about the tradeoffs of keeping Redemption Island after the merge versus the value of the Reward challenges. We especially enjoyed hearing your ideas for how the Zapatera members might be able to find a weak point to exploit in the cult of Rob. For each episode, we normally provide 3 podcasts: an episode recap, an interview with the castoff, and a chance for Survivor fans like yourself to sound off on what you saw and how you think the castaways are fairing in the game. Attention all Survivor students. The Robfather is running an advanced placement Survivor strategy clinic during season 22. There will be special sessions on managing sleeping quarters, scheduling feeding times, encouraging a sense of entitlement and outward displays of arrogance as well as tips on how to organize a buddy system to encourage your alliance to spy on each other. Things look grim for the 2 1/2 remaining Zapatera members. Do you think there's any chance for Julie, Ralph and what's left of Steve to make it to the end? Grant showed a small amount of rebellion this week with the fish. Do you ever see him attempting to wrest control away from Rob? Will the original Ometepe members be able to keep it together until all the Zapateras are gone? Would you be happy with Rob's final 3? Who will you be cheering for at the Redemption Island duel? Here is the merged tribe after episode 9. This week we interviewed Sarita White. She left the game in episode 8 of Survivor Redemption Island. Sarita was the first of the Zapatera 6 to fall. They made it their mission to crush Russell's dreams and went so far as to throw a challenge to make it happen. We heard initial reports that Sarita was calling the shots on her tribe, but she experienced a rapid descent once the other threats were removed. Listen to this audio interview to hear her assessment of her tribemates, why she really targeted Russell, how David cracks under pressure and lots more! Targeting flakey tribe members has a long history on Survivor. There is a classic example of it in episode 11 of Survivor Amazon. One of the great dilemmas of the game is that you can essentially trust no one but you are constantly required to choose between small temporary alliances bound by trust. The one surefire way to fail is to demonstrate that you can't be counted on for either choice. When you are viewed as incapable of committing, you make yourself the number one target. Matt clearly has more to learn about the game. Do you think he will figure out what the true lesson of Survivor is during his 2nd visit to RI? Did Rob do Matt a favor and give him an easier path to final 5? Do you think Mike was sincere when he and Matt were reading the bible together? How do you think Grant will respond to getting five votes at Tribal Council? Will Andrea be able to recover from once again being associated too closely with Matt? With Matt out of the picture, what should be Mike's next move? Here is the merged tribe after episode 8. Murlonio:Andrea, Ashley, David, Julie, Grant, Mike, Natalie, Phillip, Ralph, Rob and Steve Redemption Island Duel:Matt With Matt safely out of the way for now, we think Ometepe will shift their focus to the remaining Zapatera members and target Mike next. It took them 7 episodes, but the last remnants of Russell's alliance has finally been eliminated from the game. Stephanie's mentor must have been proud to see her exact another round of revenge in her parting comments. Who do you think has demonstrated the greater apptitude for the game: the group on Ometepe that blindly follows Rob or the Zapatera 6 who threw a challenge in an effort to clean up their tribe? If Matt returns, do you think Rob can welcome him back without risking a betrayal? Who do you think will be the first to flip on their tribe: Phillip, Andrea, David or Ralph? Does Rob have a strong enough alliance to protect him after the merge? Can you see any way for the outnumbered, remaining members of Zapatera to have a shot at winning this season? The merge is finally upon us. If you were playing, who would you want on your jury if you made it to the final tribal council? Here are the tribes after episode 7. Ometepe:Andrea, Ashley, Grant, Natalie, Phillip and Rob Zapatera:David, Julie, Mike, Ralph and Steve Redemption Island Duel:Sarita vs. Matt Jo Ann thinks Mike will be voted out. The intense action and drama of the early episodes appears to have left some of you feeling that we are in a bit of a lull after episode 6. Zapatera finished up with some house cleaning that started with Russell, and Rob's made Ometepe so comfortable that half the tribe doesn't even appear to be playing. Several folks mentioned that Redemption Island might be partially responsible for not yet being more invested in the remaining castaways. Fear not Survivor Fans. We are not quite at the half way point. Rest assured, there will be lots of great action to come! For each episode, we provide 3 podcasts: an episode recap, an interview with the castoff, and a chance for Survivor fans like yourself to sound off on what you saw and how you think the castaways are fairing in the game. Stephanie's gameplay may be lacking, but she might just have a future as a weather girl. As she predicted, a storm has settled over Zapatera. The cracks in the Zapatera 6 appeared to widen this week. We were treated to a new view of Sarita as the weakest member of the tribe. Several of her tribemates mentioned that she was annoying and referred to her as a princess, an "uptown girl" and someone who was not really suited to the game. The gap between her and David widened even further as he actively lobbied to vote her out. Who will they turn on next now that they are down to six? What did David gain from arguing to keep Stephanie? How do you think it affected his standing with his alliance? Do you think Andrea has given up on reuniting with Matt? Will sharing the HII clue with Phillip be Rob's undoing? Will evil Stephanie finally upset good Matt at Redemption Island? Here are the tribes after episode 6. Ometepe:Andrea, Ashley, Grant, Natalie, Phillip and Rob Zapatera:David, Julie, Mike, Ralph, Sarita and Steve Redemption Island Duel:Stephanie vs. Matt Jo Ann's sticking with her prediction that Phillip will be voted out. Stacy thinks David is on the chopping block. Who is your pick for the next one to be voted out? We've got several ways you can reach us. You can call and leave a voicemail at 206-350-1547. We are only five episodes into this season, but a lot of you were thinking about end game implications in your feedback this week. Topics included Matt's potential role in Rob's future success or failure, the effectiveness of the Zapatera 6 as a team and what that means for them at the end, and several people focused on how the tribes will fair after the expected merge. The voicing of support for Rob continues to build as he deftly manages everyone left in Ometepe. We also enjoyed the analysis you offered on the potential implications and possible variations for Redemption Island in future seasons. For each episode, we provide 3 podcasts: an episode recap, an interview with the castoff, and a chance for Survivor fans like yourself to sound off on what you saw and how you think the castaways are fairing in the game. Twenty eight fans shared their thoughts on episode 5 and predictions for what we'll see next. We want to thank and acknowledge everyone who contributed to another great Listener Feedback show. The surprises just keep coming. Who would have guessed in the beginning of the season that the "Natalie White clone", who looked like she was hand picked to be in an alliance with Russell, had no social game? Stephanie's storm showed up, but she wasn't immune to it's effects. The bitterness that she and Krista cultivated seems to have ensured that they will not be long for the game. All told, Zapatera took quite the beating this week as almost everyone was shown to be flawed in some manner: Mike was a klutz and doused the fire, Julie dwells on karmic retribution, Sarita made a bad decision at the challenge by picking Stephanie instead of David, Stephanie failed to solve the puzzle, Ralph didn't know his left from his right, David is a hot head, Steve is unhealthy and unathletic. Do you think we might be witnessing the beginning of the end of the Zapatera tribe? Can you see any way for Stephanie to survive? How long will Rob be able to hide the HII from his alliance? Do you think there is any chance that Matt and Andrea will reunite to get revenge on Ometepe? Does Krista stand a chance to upset Matt at Redemption Island? Here are the tribes after episode 5. Ometepe:Andrea, Ashley, Grant, Natalie, Phillip and Rob Zapatera:David, Julie, Mike, Ralph, Sarita, Stephanie and Steve Redemption Island Duel:Krista vs. Matt We are speculating that the Ometepe win was a fluke, and predict that they will finally give Phillip the boot after they lose next week. That was the 1-2 punch, and he is finally down for the count. But just like a poisonous snake that's lethal even after you kill it, Russell found a way to strike one more time before he made his final exit. So much for Ralph keeping secrets. Wouldn't you have loved to see the Ometepe reaction when they found out that Zapatera threw the challenge? How much damage do you think Ralph's slip up will cause them down the road? Do you think Rob will end up sharing the HII with his alliance? Why do you think we never see anyone else from Ometepe looking for it? We didn't see much from Andrea this week. What do you think is going on with her? Who do you think will win the next RI showdown? Here are the tribes after episode 4. Ometepe:Andrea, Ashley, Grant, Natalie, Phillip and Rob Zapatera:David, Julie, Krista, Mike, Ralph, Sarita, Stephanie and Steve Redemption Island Duel:Kristina vs. Matt We both think the decimation of Ometepe will continue. Jo Ann thinks Rob will send Andrea packing next. Stacy thinks it will be Phillip. Who is your pick for the next one to be voted out? We've got several ways you can reach us. A significant event was set in motion during episode 3. Russell's back is against the wall now. Many of you were celebrating, but several were questioning the wisdom of the Zapatera 6. You can bet it made for some action packed discussion. Thankfully, there are other strong characters to focus on this season too. Stephanie has certainly struck a chord and many of you have other favorites you are anxiously following. In addition, several of you weighed in with some surprise, scientific observations about this season that added a special twist to the show! For each episode, we provide 3 podcasts: an episode recap, an interview with the castoff, which will start again with episode 3, and a chance for Survivor fans like yourself to sound off on what you saw and how you think the castaways are fairing in the game. The surprises just keep coming. Until this episode, Russell had never been voted out. This season he is so disliked by his own tribe that they risked their future in the game to send him packing, if only momentarily. How about that Ralph? How long has it been since we've seen someone keep a secret when it comes to the HII? Do you think Ometepe's win will help them turn it around and shift the game in their favor? Do you think the Zapatera six knew that Russell would target Julie, or did she come up with the plan to scam him all by herself? Can you see a way for Stephanie to redeem herself? Who do you think will win the next RI showdown? Here are the tribes after episode 3. Ometepe:Andrea, Ashley, Grant, Kristina, Natalie, Phillip and Rob Zapatera:David, Julie, Krista, Mike, Ralph, Sarita, Stephanie and Steve Redemption Island Duel:Russell vs. Matt Jo Ann thinks Kristina we'll go next.
