With another NFL season comes several months of gambling degeneracy and tinkering with your fantasy lineups for hours on end.    But do not fret, because we discuss EVERYTHING football and fantasy in today's episode because that's what is most important right now.      Trying to look like a sharp and being a fantasy sharp are two entirely separate things, and we want to make sure you are fully prepared for your drafts and this season to the best of our abilities (which isn't much) so take everything with a grain of salt, or don't! The choice is entirely up to you.

It's crazy we can sell these players and make a profit before they even play. They discuss the Michael Oher situation. Did Oher get blind sided, no pun intended? Ladies and Gents we are back after a short sabbatical to talk sports cards, NFL futures, and plenty more. In this weeks episode, Grant gives his insight on what you should and shouldn't do at the National or in preparation for it. This includes several tips involving the best negotiation tactics, what you should bring, and how you should set up. He always shines light on some of his past experiences at conventions and what he has learned at the shows. The boys will be having a blast at the local sportsbook so they end the show with some of their favorite futures and plays for the weekend. Bugzy and G are back after a weekend filled with July 4th festivities. We kick off recapping our July 4th celebration, the hero that is Joey "Jaws" Chesnut, and the most eventful Hot Dog Eating contest to date. Is Google a trustworthy search engine? We then dabble into Fantasy Football rankings and who will be drafted in what round. Fantasy Football is right around the corner! Grant talks about how every Trevor throw matters and how he will celebrate TLaw's success. They discuss what players do that impresses the hobby the most. Grant then brings to light his outlook on Vegas' "system". In the end, they recap their fantasy football success and how the Telford's have dominated the league. G brings up dual threat QB's and what separates them from the others. They are fired up we're less than 85 days away from the NFL season. They then discussed friend of the program, Mike Trout, getting in breaks and some of the cards we've hit for him and/or of him. Next, Grant and Bugzy bring up the state of Flawless and question where the Triple Logoman are at.  We later talk NFL Division winners and who our biggest sleeper is. The sports world is in full rotation at the moment. Rookie Camp for the NFL just finished up, the NBA Playoffs are starting to get hectic as the Eastern and Western conference finals are set to begin in the coming days, and the dog days of baseball are about to peak. The Backyard Bro's podcast covers it all and more because that's what we do, we want to give our take on everything we can.     Nothing says two dude's podcasting like creating a bunch of sports hypothetical situations that would never happen, but still doing it anyway because it's one of the sports bro's favorite past times. For example, the worst team in the NFL currently, could give the best NFL Team in the 1970's a run for their money. From there, we jump sports to the NBA Playoffs, and discuss the semi finals matchups that took place.   We discuss the revolving door of success and failure, that is the Philadelphia 76ers, and the collapse of a dynasty as we know it… The Golden State Warriors. We must give them their due for changing the way the sport is played, and winning 4 NBA championships while doing it, but we all think that all good things must come to an end. Then we recap the stream from the day. Draft talk followed, as G and Bugzy discuss the NFL Draft results. They also explain who they'd invest in following the draft. Grant runs through his division winners. They then talked about the Hasbulla sales following the release of UFC Prizm. In the end, you know G had to dabble into Trevor comps. 

   Ladies (sup) and Gentlemen,  the time is finally upon us. And no, I am not referring to the MLB season, the NBA Playoffs or Golf. I AM TALKING ABOUT THE NATIONAL FOOTBALL LEAGUE IS OFFICIALLY BACK! It was a rough couple months without a sniff of football on television (XFL you don't count), but with plenty of trades, draft rumors and pay-days to keep us on the line, the NFL Draft is just three days away.Think of the NFL season as an awesome 25-week long dinner party. The NFL draft is the equivalent of arriving at the dinner party, grabbing your seat, cracking open that menu and putting in your drink orders. The NFL is giving us a taste of content after two months of radio silence. Then after the draft comes the appetizers, also known as, pre-season games. You watch the first game because you've been starved of football for several months. But once that first game is over, you are laser-focused on when dinner is ready. And by dinner, I am referring to the start of a brand-new season to enjoy for the next 18 weeks. We would like to apologize to those listeners who have enjoyed our Basketball and Baseball segments in our previous episodes. Mainly because we are fully charged and ready to dive head-first into another season of debauchery and NFL excitement, just like the rest of ya! So tune in for G$ and Bugzy's synopsis of the NFL draft and the upcoming season. Unfortunately, we stopped recording as soon as the Rodgers news broke, but you will get an ear-full of takes about that massive move in the upcoming episodes, don't you worry! 

Bugzy and G come through on their promise of bringing you guys a pod early in the week. They kick it off trying to figure out how bears sleep for months and the act of hibernation, as well as a few other wild life takes. They then recap the UFC 287, which Grant was in attendance for. G discusses Font vs. Yanez, Jorge vs. Gilbert and Izzy vs. Poatan. G and Bugz then run through the greatest golf tournament of the year, the Masters. The question of "is Malik Willis done in Tennessee?" was brought up as well what that offense is capable of this year. Hobby talk comes about following the question mark that is Malik. Due to the "big" signing of OBJ, they talk the ravens weapons. In the end, they talk the Mavs being investigated and the NBA playoffs. G and Bugz close it out with a shoutout to the people who donated and supported during the Make A Wish stream and give out the code.

The boys kick off the episode discussing recent news and breaking stories in the hobby. They then talk refs and how they are becoming power hungry. Grant discusses the things we could do to resolve this issue. This all started because of the JT Realmuto ejection that happened earlier in the day. Grant then talks going to Las Vegas this weekend for an event and placing a massive future on the Jags to win the division. They then talk about their current liquid diet which Grant will be doing for 5 days and Bugzy for 10 days. In the end, the boys shoutout some of the OG's and 9am gang. 

To kick off the pod, G and Bugzy talk Ja's future and current situation on and off the court. The boys then get into the highs of the NFL Combine. They give their thoughts on Anthony Richardson and predict how he will fare in the league. G discusses his take on having O lineman perform certain drills at the Combine after several injuries to O line prospects. They then talked Free Agency following Derek Carr signing with the Saints and Geno and Danny Dimes re-signing. G and Bugz also dabble into Aaron Rodgers conspiracies. In the end they elaborate on the state of the Hobby and its current events.  

Grant and Bugzy kick off the pod discussing the hits of the day and their love for Spectra. They get into the bounty for the Rookie Luka Black Finite 1 of 1 out of Prizm that is currently being hunted down. G talks prices of Mahomes' rookie Prizm cases and how they compared to every other years cases. Bugzy brings up the possible Logomen we will see in Flawless that releases next month.  They also discuss the difference of the market back then and now. In the end, the boys got into their glory days of being out on the field.

We guarantee that you didn't expect to hear about this glorified flag football game, but you should always expect the unexpected on this podcast.    Speaking of the expected, we, just like every other sports podcast in America right now, are absolutely swooning thinking about this off season and where the quarterback merry-go-round will spin, and we are just excited to be able to keep up with whats going on.     If you follow us for our sports take, god bless you. There was some MASSIVE news in the hobby, having do with Fanatics and their future plans for live breaks, sports cards, and the sports memorabilia world. It would be a disservice to all of you, if this massive news went untouched by us. And with the cherry on top, Big Zach leaves us off with the word of the day to wrap up this weeks episode.       On this episode, we are joined by a TRUE gentlemen and Backyard enjoyer, Hoyt! He is a prominent member of the WhatNot crew. Our very own Backyard Brett pulled the 1/1 Babe Ruth cut auto for him. At the beginning of the episode, he gives us a brief history lesson about the Babe Ruth auto and how it changed over the years. You develop a separate interest in these things because you see just how cool something like that truly is when you find out their's history behind it.     From then on, we delve into the two games that took place that weekend, one with MUCH more emphasis than the other, which I am sure you can decipher what we are talking about. The first game was the NFC Championship between the 49ers and Eagles, which finished 31-7 sending the Eagles back to the promise land. On the opposite side of the spectrum, the MASSIVE controversy surrounding the officiating that took place during the Bengals and Chiefs AFC Championship game which came down to the wire, and was settled with a game-winning FG from the Chiefs just edging the Bengals out 20-23.     We set some time aside to discuss the issues that many people had with this game and broke it down from a casual viewers standpoint. Then came the brainstorming about how this could happen in such an important game, potential changes to prevent this from happening in the future, and if their were outside interests or involvement that interfered with the sanctity of the sport.      Before you ask, yes, we did another Super Bowl prediction. You knew it would happen, I am just doing you the favor of letting you know ahead of time. Then came FA implications for TONS of quarterbacks who are looking for new home this off-season, the draft and how those first round picks will shake up the league. We then tiptoed into the cap space increase and what is necessary for QB's now-a-days in order to try and build a super team that can continually win, rather than those who seek a max contract.     This episode is a bit longer, but it's filled to the brim with juicy content to keep you informed on everything going on in the sports media world! He tallied 14 catches for 98 yards and 2 touchdowns in the Chiefs Win to send them to their fifth straight AFC championship.     After all the Kelce talk, this spurred a star-studded tier list of the top 5 Tight Ends in NFL History, needless to say, the list was stacked but everyone could agree on the correct order for the top 5 (for the most part) . Then came potential landing spots for Aaron Rodgers, being that he is one of the most talked about potential FA's that could be on the move this offseason.     Then come predictions for the upcoming AFC & NFC Championship games that will be taking place this weekend. We all knew it was going to be discussed because we love football, and if we aren't watching it, we are talking it. We also take into account the effect that these games will have on the hobby in the future, because these 4 Quarterbacks are all sought after players within the card world. Not to mention the financial implications that their success will induce on prices of the product that these players are in.     And to wrap it all up, Grant takes a trip down memory lane to his High School glory days with an anecdote about how he became the talk of the school with his All-American athletic capabilities, while simultaneously tarnishing a Teacher's reputation in the process. So pour up a chilled glass of your favorite milk and drift off into serenity with this one because we think you're going to whole-heartedly enjoy listening!

With the season coming to a close, we briefly touch on Bugzy's horrible stretch of going 1-11 on his picks for the past two weeks!     As time runs out on the NFL season, Bugzy and G-money discuss the games from the weekend and future matchups for the divisional round. We then delve into the absolutely insane trip to TIAA Bank field to watch the CRAZIEST come back in the playoffs and how it went down. We also discuss  the preparations we need to take in order to travel to Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City to watch Trevor Lawrence and the Jacksonville Jaguars attempt to upset the Kansas City Chiefs at home. With playoffs, comes Super Bowl predictions and the boys discuss who we would most and least like to see in the big game, you can take a guess on how that went.    We hope you enjoy listening to this as much as we enjoyed making it for you! Bugzy, Grant, and the Godfather talk the ol' pigskin. Wild Card weekend is upon us and the boys give us their picks and predictions for the six games this weekend. They also discussed their busy weekend traveling to Dallas and then Jacksonville. They will be front row in Jacksonville on Saturday night once again so don't miss them!

Grant, Bugzy, and Jonah recap the madness that was Week 18. Jonah kicked off the show by explaining how he lost $1,000 to Grant over the weekend. The boys also discuss the future of Derek Carr. Also, residential Dolphins fan, Jonah, talks about the Dolphins matchup this weekend and debates Tua's future. They brought to light a few theories they have for the playoffs and the upcoming offseason. In the end, you guessed it, Grant talks himself into a possible Jags Postseason run and compares Trevor Lawrence to several other elite QBs. 

Grant, Bugzy, and The Godfather return following an action-packed week 17 in the NFL.A tribute to Bills Safety, Damar Hamlin, opened the show. Following the opening, Grant discussed his great appreciation for Doug Pederson. Nick and Grant shined a light on the Bucs winning the division and a theory that they could end up meeting the Packers in the NFC championship game. They also discussed the downfall of the Miami Dolphins since week 12 and Mike McDaniel's swag. In the end, they compared certain players to one another. Bugzy closes out the show with a code phrase of his own.

Who's the GOAT - Ronaldo or Messi? The gang talks about Trevor Lawrence's STELLAR comeback performance, the refs blowing calls left and right, and who they'd want as their QB for the next decade. Grant and Nicky finish things off with some juicy "What If" scenarios such as adding a second Bye Week to the NFL season so that the Super Bowl falls on a Holiday weekend - giving the people the much-deserved Monday-After-The-Superbowl off of work. Week 3 Kicks off with the Steelers @ The Browns and this game may be a snoozer BUT tonight marks the official start of Week 3 in the NFL -  and like clockwork, the boys are here to help you make some money.Although this game does not jump out on paper as a shootout that is promising to score a ton of points - it's still a division matchup where the two teams absolutely hate each other. Steelers at Browns promises to be a hard fought game, and the boys are here to provide you with their SHARP insight on all of the action! 

On this weeks' episode of the Backyard Bros podcast, Grant and Nicky dive head first into the Week 2 Review of the NFL's slate of games. At the conclusion of the Week 1 games, Nicky Ripz was up a COOL $100k on DraftKings (stilll waiting on that direct deposit DK!) and this week was no different. Grant and Nicky absolutely dominated Vegas putting up a 7-1 and 6-2 record this past weekend. The boys review their wins and very few losses and they dive into Monday Night's Double-Header. Grant and Nicky break down what they look for when building out their Daily Fantasy Lineups and they look ahead to Week 3 in the NFL. Finally, THE JAGS ARE ATOP THE DIVISION!? Trevor Lawrence looked like the QB we all knew he would turn out to be but to see it come to fruition in the NFL is something that will be remembered in the Backyard for years to come. This past weekend, The Boys in the Backyard SWEPT their bookies clean. Grant and the Godfather finished yesterday with a record of 7-1 while Nicky Ripz and Brett came in at an impressive 5-3. Now, the guys give their picks for tonight's DOUBLE HEADER matchup kicking things off with Buffalo vs. Tennessee followed by one of the best games of the week with the Eagles facing off against J Jeff and the Vikings....
