We all go through difficult times and challenges in our lives, and if we're not careful, we can easily slip into the negativity spiral and stray away from the purity and divinity within us. This is why we must remind ourselves every single day to become a better version of ourselves and consciously develop noble virtues.
As the New Year stands before us, now is a great time to allow ourselves to begin anew. It's an opportunity to write a new chapter in our lives and we can start writing our story by clarifying our intentions and setting new goals for ourselves. This guided meditation when performed every day will empower you to cultivate detachment from your past and experience a deep feeling of peace, vitality, and purpose within you on a continual basis.
When we continually seek happiness outside of ourselves, this behavior gets installed and entrenched as a mental habit. And this sets up for perennial disappointment and dissatisfaction. What's fascinating is that even when we get what we want, we can't help but feel that the grass is greener on the other side. Our mind gets so accustomed to looking outward that we keep moving around and keep scanning our surroundings for anything or anyone to latch onto as a source of happiness.. . .
The New Year is here. And while some people would still continue to live in the past and relive the horrors, tragedies and setbacks that they went through again and again, you must resolve to detach from it and only take the important lessons you've learned with you moving forward. This will help you design a better and brighter future for yourself. The key, as business philosopher Jim Rohn advises, is to make sure that the greatest pull on your life is the pull of the future.

As the New Year stands before us, now is a great time to allow ourselves to begin anew. It's an opportunity to write a new chapter in our lives and we can start writing our story by clarifying our intentions and setting new goals for ourselves.
As humans, our desires and our goals are always changing. And that's why the key to perennial prosperity is our commitment to personal growth and our constant evolution. The more creative we are and the more open and willing to experiment with new ideas we are, the more prosperous we become. . . .
The journey of a year is coming to an end. Honor the journey and its ending, and know that there's still a long way to go. Although the end is here, it's also a new beginning.
A simple and minimalist life is hardly a matter of externals, in fact, it's all about what's going within us. It's not about how much we own, but about how we enjoy what we have with us. Lack of wealth does not equate to living a simple life. As Seneca writes, "We should not believe the lack of silver and gold to be proof of the simple life."
In this episode of Daily Success , Parth talks about the importance of letting go of our past and releasing our limiting beliefs, and to start creating a new, better future for ourselves as we enter the new year.
If we want to achieve or acquire something, we must relinquish our attachment to having it. We must learn to become self-sufficient and understand that the only genuine source of happiness, success, joy, and security is to live our true selves and engage in actions that resonate best with us. . . .
We must firmly believe that whatever that happens to us is all good, if it isn't. Without all the struggles, setbacks, losses and tragedies that you've faced in your life so far, you would never be the person you are right now.
It's easier for us to be productive in the mornings — our mind is clear, our bodies are rested, and we have more willpower and energy reserves to get important work done. However, as the day progresses, our motivation wanes and our willpower declines. If we're not careful, this lack of energy and resolve can easily make us prone to distractions, both digital and that of the real world, fatigued and fall prey to the infamous “afternoon slump.” One useful strategy to overcome this is to break up difficult and challenging work tasks into easy and manageable chunks.

Thoughtfulness and love are priceless. During the holiday time, we all look at external things to make us happy. We run around looking for the perfect gifts for our friends and loved ones. But in this chase, we forget the very people for whom we are buying gifts. We can make the holidays more meaningful by gifting our presence and our love to the people close to us. Gifts don't make Christmas meaningful, it's the people and their love and warmth that make it worthwhile and joyous. Merry Christmas to all of you!
We have to start seeing money as a tool, as a catalyst. Sure, it can be a source of evil and misery, but if used well, it can also be a force of goodness and joy.If you have been having a difficult time with your finances, it's time to re-program your mind. Listen to positive affirmations and guided meditations that help you reorient back to a wealthy and abundant mindset. Find the right mentors and consume their books and audio programs. Commit to making behavioral changes and cultivating healthy habits that help you earn more and grow your wealth. It's time to let go of your excuses and mental blocks and bring more money into your life. It's time to embrace abundance and let wealth and prosperity flow to you easily and naturally.. . .
Life is unpredictable. There's no guarantee that things will always go as planned, and they certainly don't always go the way we want them to. As the popular saying goes, “Man plans, and God laughs.” But, no matter how bad a situation is, we must be proactive and face the problem head-on. We must take swift action before things get out of control. As Sun Tzu instructed, “The supreme art of war is to subdue the enemy without fighting.” You must refrain from wasting time and take appropriate action before problems get out of hand or become too much to handle.
If we want to make significant progress towards our dreams, we need to be willing to go through difficult, trying, and uncomfortable situations. Our dreams lie on the other side of the hard choices that we need to make.
This global crisis is not our fault. But how we respond to it, what we do with it, that's on us. This dichotomy is what lies at the core of Stoic philosophy — to let go of external circumstances and the things that are beyond our control, and only focus on the things that we control, i.e., our mind, our emotions, and how we respond to this catastrophe. The holiday season is here and that means it's the time for gift-giving. While giving material gifts to your loved ones is totally optional, if you still want to participate in it, it's best to buy meaningful things that would continually add value to their lives. In this episode, Parth shares the 10 best personal development gifts to give to your loved ones that could bring a life-changing impact on their lives. Of course, you can also treat yourself to them this holiday season if you like.
Reading is a life-changing habit. You never truly know which book might have a profound impact on your life, and the more you learn, the better circumstances you create for yourself, both personally and professionally.
In times of frustration and confusion, we need to develop restraint, patience, and calm. We can meditate on impermanence and remind ourselves of the words of the old Persian adage: This too shall pass. We need to believe that clarity is right around the corner. Fighting moments of frustration and confusion will cause us more pain and suffering; instead, we can start accepting and embracing them. As we ask questions, we need to firmly believe that the answers will come to us.
The rewards of huge success only come to you when you equip yourself to solve huge problems. In other words, every level of success comes with its own corresponding level of problems. Therefore, our goal should not be to escape or eliminate problems, but rather get active and find new kinds of problems, the ones that are worth tackling. Zig Ziglar once remarked, “Money isn't everything, but it ranks right up there with oxygen!” It's time to rip up that old script that's keeping you poor, and cultivate some new and healthy beliefs around money. Money is an instrument that magnifies what's within you. It all depends on how you use it. It can help you design an exceptional life and bring perennial joy to you. It can also fuel your ego and bring despair and destruction to you. So, it's crucial that you become aware of both the privileges as well as shortcomings of having money, and act wisely. You can use money either as a force of benevolence and virtue or a source of corruption and evil. It's naive to put in a box and call it either good or bad. Money is just money. And if your purpose is to live a life enriched with excellence, impact, growth, joy, inner peace and freedom, then money is essential. PS: If you found this insight useful, you'll love my eBook Daily Wealth (The Daily Learner, Book 1) ( https://books2read.com/money-meditations ). This short book is an attempt to distill the life-changing ideas from the best books on finances, money management, and investing in clear and concise daily meditations.
According to the Law of Attraction, the things that you believe inside and project outside are the things you end up attracting in your life. Hence, if you want to attract more money in your life, it's crucial that you visualize it as if it's already there in your bank account.. . .
The world today has become a canvas of disruption and desperation. Fear and uncertainty is in the air, and there's no concrete solution in sight. Illness, unemployment, poverty, loss, frustration, lack, anger, disappointment — we're all going through some terrible times. But this doesn't mean that you're powerless and have no control over your life and your individual circumstances. You can still cultivate response-ability and choose to walk on the path that best resonates with you.
German philosopher Immanuel Kant came up with a simple formula for humanity: "Act in such a way that you treat humanity, whether in your own person or in the person of any other, never merely as a means to an end, but always at the same time as an end." He claims that if one person treats another merely as a means then his action is morally impermissible. This formula essentially means that we shouldn't behave in a transactional manner and take actions that are right instead of doing things for our selfish gains. As The Minimalists point out, "Love people, use things. The opposite never works."
It's easy to get anxious and overwhelmed. To become worried and get stressed in the modern world. Whether it be about your work, your relationships, your health or your finances, don't let anxiety consume you. Don't let it rob you of your innate goodness, positivity and vitality. It's just not worth it.
A mantra, also known as mantram, holy name, or a brief prayer, is a spiritual statement. It can either be a single word or a short phrase that is repeated again and again. Eknath Easwaran explains, “The mantram is a short, powerful spiritual formula for the highest power that we can conceive of – whether we call it God, or the ultimate reality, or the Self within. Whatever name we use, with the mantram we are calling up what is best and deepest in ourselves.”. . .Grab a copy of my beautiful eBook “Success Essentials Guidebook'', you can get it for free from my website, The Daily Apple. Change is the way of life, and we need to understand that whenever it happens, it is guided by a Higher Power that has some strong motive behind it. We need to trust this power and trust that the change is happening for good. If the change is disruptive, that means we're progressing ahead. Our souls will expand and our minds will evolve unlocking new possibilities.
In relationships, sometimes we attach our happiness to the other person. And when we do this, it always leads to suffering. Our relationships may contribute towards making us happy, but happiness, in its essence, transcends relationships.Instead of relying on the other person and their behaviors to make us happy, we need to take charge of our own happiness. Only then our relationship with that person will become better and healthier.. . .
Identify what you really want, not what you think you should want, and just go after it. There's nothing selfish about pursuing things that make you truly happy.

In this episode of Daily Success , Parth discusses some key points and lessons that can help you become free from credit card debt.
No matter your current circumstances, no matter how broke and broken you are today, don't let your past or present overshadow your future. Regardless of what you're going through right now, your future is still spotless and pristine. You can be whoever you want, you can do whatever you want, and you can have anything you want. You are in complete charge of your destiny. And in the long run, it's your attitude that determines your altitude. As Henry Ford put it, “Whether you think you can, or you think you can't – you're right.” So, if you truly believe you can be a prosperous person, you can!. . .
It's good to have an optimistic mindset but that doesn't mean you need to let go of reality and harbor yourself in delusion. Instead of sprinkling fairy dust, we must work towards cultivating objectivity and acting rationally. Hope and pray for things to get better, but also prepare for the worst-case scenario. You never truly know what curveball life may throw at you, and that's why it's wise to contemplate and train in advance. Prior preparation can be an incredibly useful tool in our arsenal to combat the deceptive illusions of “fairy dust” thinking.
When we simply focus on doing the best we possibly can in all the things that we do, we experience unparalleled clarity and tranquility. And this is what inspires us to keep moving forward, regardless of the fact that the outcomes are in our favor or not.
An essential aspect of goal setting is that our goals should stretch us so that we are able to expand ourselves and enter new levels of success. Set up Big, Hairy and Audacious Goals — also called BHAGs — for yourself. There are different areas of our lives where we can set up goals in: Impact, Income, Relationships, Health and Fitness, Spirituality, Personal Growth, Lifestyle, Traveling and Adventure. You can start by writing goals for each of these areas. Once you're done, the next step is picking the 3 BIG Goals that you're truly passionate about and can impact you and/or your lifestyle dramatically. It's best to follow your heart and not get blinded by shiny objects as you do this process.
Our mental state shapes the lens through which we look at the world. This is why the Dalai Lama advises to systematically train our minds so that we identify and develop positive mental states while getting rid of the negative ones. . . .
Learning how to set effective goals is a master skill of success. Goal setting is a process that starts with a careful and deliberate consideration of what we want to achieve and requires consistent actions. We need to have well-defined steps that are in sync with the specifics of each goal. Knowing these steps and executing them is crucial to accomplishing the goals that we set for ourselves. Another important piece that a lot of us miss is that we need a reliable management and control system to operate our plan, keep us on track, measured and monitored through our journey, and through any obstacles that we may face. Goal setting, in essence, is all about drawing a map about how we are going to reach our destination and define the resources that we'll need to arrive safely.
If we choose happiness as our destination, we will be tied to it. The prison of the destination will cage the freedom of our journey. Happiness is in the journey, in the present moment. Instead of constantly pursuing it, we need to detach from it and instead commit to a life of meaning, excellence, and contribution.. . .
When it comes to attaining higher quality and quantity of successes, it all comes down to one skill: setting, sticking to and committing to BIG goals. Goal setting is key to living a rich, diverse and vibrant life full of achievements, experiences and contributions.
You have to be proactive and lay out a plan of action and know where you want to end up. You must visualize your future in as much detail as possible and design a map from where you are to where you want to be. In other words, you need to know what your version of success looks and feels like to you.. . .Grab a copy of my beautiful eBook “Success Essentials Guidebook'', you can get it for free from my website, The Daily Apple. Our everyday swipes are tearing the delicate fabric of our personal finances and creating a gaping hole in our bank accounts. Making a budget, tracking our expenses and paying by cash will help us realize how much money we're spending at a whim without our awareness. Jim Rohn has said, "Success is nothing more than a few simple disciplines, practiced every day; while failure is simply a few errors in judgment, repeated every day. It is the accumulative weight of our disciplines and our judgments that leads us to either fortune or failure." So, what are the daily cuts (or swipes!) that you engage in every day that are affecting your well-being and stopping you from building a fortune?
Most of us think that in order to achieve extraordinary success, we need to constantly focus on the results that we are getting and use them to measure our progress. Although this strategy may work in the short term, in the long run it's not optimal. When we start focusing our energy and attention less on the results but more on processes or behaviors involved, we feel more successful and happier, even if we don't get our desired outcomes.Get your copy of The Way of the Karma Yogi here: https://books2read.com/u/mvvnvj. . .Follow me:Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/iamparthsawhneyTwitter: https://www.twitter.com/iamparthsawhneyInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/iamparthsawhneyPinterest: https://www.pinterest.com/parthsawhneyMedium: https://medium.com/@parthsawhney
Friendships have to be nurturing and uplifting rather than toxic and demeaning. Often times, it becomes so hard for us to build friendships from scratch that we settle as soon as we find a group of people around us. Even if there are no mutual interests, we are scared of breaking friendships and cutting out people from our lives because we don't want to feel isolated and lonely. But we are only fooling ourselves and living an illusion. If our friendships are not serving us and our well being, then we should let them go. A great by-product of committing to a life of minimalism is that I have cut out all the unnecessary friendships from my life that were not serving for my greater good and contributing to the achievement of my goals. We do need friends and a sense of community, but not at the cost of our well being. Our friends and associations determine our success, and it's our responsibility to be careful while choosing them.
We all have heard of the famous Jim Rohn quote, “You are the average of the five people you spend the most time with.”Our quality of life, health, attitude, perspective, relationships, income and impact can be easily be measured by looking at the people who we hang out with. And that's why it's so important that the people whom we admire the most are the same ones that we spend most of our time with.. . .
Some of us operate with an all-or-nothing mindset. We believe that unless our favorable conditions are met, we won't be able to participate in an activity that we know when done benefits us. But it's not about the magnitude of action, it's about sustaining momentum. Not all days in our lives are perfect, but that doesn't mean we have an excuse to let go of our commitment and discipline. Imperfect something always trumps perfect nothing.
It's good to constantly walk on the path of self-education, to read and gather priceless insights and gems of wisdom along the way that help us design a good life for ourselves and become better versions of ourselves. But learning is just one part of the equation. There comes a point where we have to set our books and journals aside, and get to the field and take action. . . .Grab a copy of my beautiful eBook “Success Essentials Guidebook'', you can get it for free from my website, The Daily Apple.
