Welcome to part 2 of a two part series with my special guest, Bob Kelly. In part 2, Bob shares his thoughts about his operation, how providence worked in his life, his subsequent healing, and the take away that he wanted to share about his experience of having cancer, and then his incredible healing soon after. Bob lives life large. He has an awesome marriage to Annmarie, a big family, financial independence and many dreams ahead of him. He left home at seventeen years old and put himself through University, and by the time he was 25, he already had a PHD in English Literature. He joined Microsoft and what resulted from a two day internship, turned into a lifetime career that provided him with many more opportunities to achieve great success.... and yes, he took it by the horns.  In 2019, he was feeling out of sorts, and decided to let it be. But by 2020, in February, he knew that something was not right and in 2020, he received his diagnosis. Bib was suffering from cancer. Then what? But by 2020, in February, he knew that something was not right. In August, Fr. Dominic Legge O.P asked me to help pray for his friend, Bob. Bob said, yes and that's when the Holy Spirit brought us together. Bob was diagnosed with cancer of the colon. This is Bob's sharing of his 10 days or so previous to his operation, how providence worked in his life, his subsequent healing, and involvement with a prayer intercessor whom he didn't even know, and the lessons he learned as a result of releasing control. In Divorce, there is strength and healing through the gift of forgiveness.   Welcome to part 2 of Rosanna Thill's sharing on forgiveness.  Last month, we listened to Rosanna's story of her divorce, and the almost palpable effects it had on her life, trying to protect two young children: twin boys, and on the dream that so many young girls, including herself had for a beautiful marriage and family life. 15 years later, Rosanna is a fierce triathlon competitor, a creative and successful career professional with two grown up boys now. Through St. Faustina's Divine Mercy; she finds strength, resilience, and an enormous amount of grace to keep choosing to forgive. When she does, it leads to her personal freedom. Our mission is to help Renew Your Sense of Wonder for God’s love for you, through the charisms of healing and of words. An estimated 20.4% (50.0 million) of U.S. adults live with chronic pain. What do you do when you find yourself in a season of life like that—a season of pain with no end in sight? God in His kindness has given us three expressions of His grace for us to face and deal with chronic pain. They are prayer, promises, ( His grace will sustain you ) and his people. ( fellow intercessors from church. ) Henry Kota is not new to the concept of pain. He grew up walking shoulder to shoulder with adversity, he has suffered from many varying afflictions such as his ongoing sobriety, a brain tumour that nearly killed him, and his painful neuralgia that brought him to his knees. The neuralgia led him to seek intercession and that is where we met him and his daughter, Rosanna in Phoenix, Arizona. Henry receives a gift from the Lord. A gift of healing from his neuralgia that frees him from the heavy pain medication that he has taken. But this story does not end. Henry speaks about suffering in a way that gives us real hope. Through his experience of suffering, Henry offers us more than a glimpse of his strong faith and love for Jesus. Greetings, This is Jacqueline Loh from Grace that Reigns, welcome to our Winter Series called: Fall into the Light, From January – April, we will offer powerful and amazing testimonies of how God helps to reveal his Wonder to us and how our own sense of Wonder can be renewed.Today I am starting with a special Guest, my father Michael Loh.  Hello Michael! My father had just retired and bought himself a Coffee and muffins franchise, and everyone who was anyone would come for his muffins/ coffee…but most of all, for his smile and for his company and humourous stories. The store had become quite a social spot for his growing gathering of family and friends.But on one fateful day in 1998, my father took ill at the store and wound up in the emergency room, where he was in grave condition. What transpired there, was inspiring and nothing short of a miracle that changed his life until this day.  This is a story that reminds me that we are all Pearls of Great Price.

Happy New Year 2021. Bishop Ronald Gilmore pauses to offer a reflection on "Time" and helps shed light to the importance of the topic of "time" as we consider our priorities for the New Year. In this 3rd part of Bishop Gilmore's Advent reflection, Bishop continues speaking about the topic of Hope, by using an inspiring true to life story about a man named, Peguy who suffered greatly in his life, but clung on to his " little girl Hope."In Peguy’s poem, the Lord himself says: the dark is my favorite time; my first creation, the night. That plunged Peguy into the beginning of all mysteries, that of Creation itself.  The Hebrew people believed, and the Christian people after them, that God made the world ex nihilo, out of nothing … out of no previous existing material.  “In the beginning, the Book of Genesis says ‘darkness covered the abyss.”Out of darkness, there came " Hope " for Peguy. Out of darkness, there is Hope at the end of this Advent Season.

In this 2nd mini advent reflection, Bishop Gilmore continues to reflect on the topic of Hope with the help of a certain Charles Peguy, a married man who died in 1914.  This time, he looks at Hope through the eyes of a child in Peguy's life and finds the spark through which Peguy could find consolation during this difficult life through his " little Girl Hope."It is an unusual reflection - not the typical Christmas Story. However, it looks deeper into the Theological Virtue of Hope in a way that resonates in our lives today. 

In this mini advent reflection, Bishop Gilmore reflections on the topic of Hope with the help of a certain Charles Peguy, a married man who died in 1914. He was a French writer and poet who had a difficult marriage but who was attracted to the Theological virtue of Hope. Thus, this brings us to the first of a three series on Hope. December 7, 9, and 11. 2020.

Grace that Reigns' Hallowe'en Special involves Father Henry Hildebrandt. RIP 2016.  One of his last stories to us was that of a mysterious drive on the way back from the East Coast. This is the all too common feeling of "Unworthiness." Each of us feels insecure and unworthy of love sometimes. Especially when we fail at a task, or we especially when we feel guilt, when we have committed a sin towards another. We can feel discouraged, and feel like we are not worthy of Christ's love or even his forgiveness. Bishop will take a look at what is behind this feeling and how it can prevent us from moving forward. The Three ComingsAdvent is an overflowing treasure of beauty: all the ancient prophecies, with their ever-new relevance; all the subtle harmony of the Old and the New Testaments; all the lasting appeal of the Antiphons, of the Hymns, and of the Carols.  This is a season of Hope and of Wonder. It is so full, so filled, so flowing over that it seems too much for sober adults, even a ‘confusion,’ perhaps.  During Advent, it is by tradition that we speak of the three comings. What does the Three Comings of Jesus at Advent mean ? One of our penitential rites sets before us the “Three Comings.”  He “did come,” it says. He “does come,” it says. He “will come,” it says.  This is the time to warm to that sacred pattern, to allow it to shape your pre-Christmas days. Somehow, they all run together, these comings, they are all connected.  Each is a preparation for the other in our human time. Each builds on the other in our human time.  We can never have one of these without the other, because God’s own time has slipped into our human time.  Advent is the time to accustom yourselves to remembering His Incarnation, for He did break into our world; to looking for His sacramental and his providential comings, for He does break into our world each day; and to longing for His final coming at the end of days, for He will break into our world bringing it to conclusion.

The Mystery of Death with Bishop Ronald Gilmore,  (Chaplain of Grace that Reigns ) In this podcast, Bishop Gilmore offers a few thoughts on Death, Heaven, on Hell and on Purgatory.He begins with this: ‘Some of you may not know that November has always been a month off sober and prayerful reflection in our Church: on the four last things, we used to way … on Death, on Heaven, on Hell, and on Purgatory.But the ways and the manners of our time almost forbid our talking about that first one, about death.  A monk in France wondered recently if we even had “the time to die” today.Bishop then speaks about technology and how it overwhelms and at time overwhelms us, so that we are not thinking of the inevitable in November. -  “I don’t have time,” we say stubbornly; “you’ve had enough time,” Says God, wearily. We don’t have time to die because we have never made real time to live … never made time for ourselves, never made time God.  That’s why we are more than ready to miss the high point of this life.Death is the most important act of earthly existence.  But we start, and we cut, and we run when it comes close.

Bishop Gilmore is the retired bishop of Dodge City, Kansas, and the spiritual director of Grace that Reigns.Bishop Gilmore asks Jacqueline how she came up with the name of this ministry, and we get transported back to 2003 to find out the answer. The name Grace that Reigns represents God’s grace being present in the world. God gave us his son, and he is present and accessible in this world, to heal us, give us strength for our journeys and give us hope.Just a couple of years after retiring, Bishop Gilmore joined Grace that Reigns. He explains what he most likes about being part of the ministry, including his fascination of how Jacqueline relates to the Lord.
