In this episode, the fellas discuss the heartbreak of the Timberwolves, the Vikings Draft Day, Wild getting shutout in game 1, and Random MN Athlete of the week.

Another tough loss for the Minnesota Timberwolves in Game 5 vs the Grizz. The boys are devastated, but at the same time, have our heads held high and confident in game 6 in the Target Center.

In this SPECIAL episode of Spunk Lake Sports, the guys chat with Golden Gopher Basketball LEGEND Trevor Mbakwe and the guys get his takes on Minnesota Sports as well as his journey as an athlete to coach. Timberwolves stole game 1 vs Memphis what do they need to do for game 2 and going forward in the series. The Wild clinched their spot and will be playing the St. Louis Blues in the first round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Now it just depends who gets home ice. SPUNK LAKE SPORTS!

The Twins signed Carlos Correa in a shocking move, Za'Darius Smith takes stage in Vikings free agency as they gain another talented edge rusher. Piece of my Mind. The Wolves dropped one to Dallas, but look to bounce back as a hard push for the 6 seed in the Western Conference Playoffs. The Wild completed a few more moves before the trade deadline as they make their own push for a higher playoff seed. Lastly, Random MN Athlete of the week

Clon and Yaust are back and got a reply from Gophers legend Trevor Mbakwe and Yaust says he'll drink a gallon of milk if Trevor comes on. The Vikes signed Kirk to a 1 year extension that's discussed as well as other offseason moves. Next the Twins are making moves, but Clon is convinced there's more moves to come. Piece of my Mind. The Wild have won only 3 of the last 11 and the guys are waiting for things to take off again. But the Wolves are continuing to win. Yaust is confused by it, but extremely satisfied. Yaust is pumped to say the least, but there's more to do. The Minnesota Wild haven't lost in 7 games, we check in on the standings and discuss what the future is.

Kick off your Friday with FOOTBALL. The fellas are back at it again recapping the pretty mediocre wild card weekend in the NFL. Then they move on and talk the divisional round matchups and who's making the conference championships. The Vikes aren't a playoff team, but they've been busy as the guys discuss the interviewees for coach so far.

They discuss the Vikings game and how we deal with stress, the Packers and that rollercoaster of a game, and how things are looking for their game in Carolina. MLB Playoffs are almost set for the LCS series as the Braves, Red Sox, and Astros have all moved on to the next round. The Gophers also still somehow have a chance to win the B1G West division, but it's going to need a miracle. The guys discuss how they feel about the season and the outlook for the remainder of their B1G schedule.
