Ja sabeu que un cop al mes ens agrada portar un convidat perquè pugueu sentir altres veus de catalanoparlants nadius, però també de nous parlants com vosaltres, que poden compartir la seva experiència aprenent la llengua i servir d'inspiració o despertar complicitats. Ja sou uns quants els que heu passat per aquí: l'Ana, la Brianna, el Kevin, el Reece, la Simone i la Kerry, el Matthew, el Camo, la Valentina, el Raffaele, la Paola, el Kenny, l'Alex, el Randy, el Reuben, la Goccia, el Kirill... I segur que em deixo algú. A la majoria us hem conegut gràcies a la comunitat que tenim a Discord. Sé que de vegades ens fem pesats amb això i que no soc del tot objectiu per parlar-ne, però estic segur que no soc l'únic que pensa que és una comunitat molt maca, diversa i activa on hi ha un ambient acollidor i motivador. Aquí, amb la Sílvia i el Joan, hem explicat moltes vegades que Discord és una web i app on pots crear una comunitat, tenir-hi diferents canals de xat i també fer videotrucades. Però de tant en tant encara ens trobem persones que ens pregunten: "Què és això de Discord?" Així que avui voldria explicar-ho d'una altra manera, des de la meva perspectiva. Andreu: [1:35] Discord és la tercera aplicació que faig servir més al mòbil, després de YouTube i el navegador. És l'espai on cada dilluns faig una xerrada a les 6 de la tarda, em retrobo amb cares conegudes i la fem petar. És el lloc on de tant en tant el Silvestre ens envia àudios per desitjar-nos un bon dia i la Nicole ens escriu bons desitjos en dies assenyalats com Sant Jordi o per Nadal. Aquí mateix, a Discord, és on fem activitats com els reptes de 30 dies i el Club de Lectura, que és quan hi ha més activitat i tenim ocasió de coneixe'ns més entre tots. També és el lloc on cada dia envio el meu resultat del Wordle i poso un emoji d'aplaudiment als que l'han resolt en tres intents o menys. De fet, podríem dir que els que hi juguem som una subcomunitat dins de la mateixa comunitat. Andreu: [2:26] En fi, ja veieu que és una cosa que forma part del dia a dia de moltes persones i us en podria explicar moltes coses més, però això ja ho deixarem per a un altre dia. Efectivament, la persona que tenim avui aquí és la Fairlie, una californiana que viu a Barcelona des de fa un parell d'anys i que des d'un bon principi va tenir clar que volia aprendre la llengua local i integrar-se en la societat catalana. Kirill Karabits and the orchestra whose Principal Conductor he was for 15 years, the Bournemouth Symphony, have recorded the opera Esther by Thomas de Hartmann (1885-1956). Written in Paris during the last years of the Second World War, and completed in 1946, Esther is based on the play by Racine which in turn draws on the biblical Book of Esther and tells of Esther's intercession to her husband King Ahasuerus on behalf her fellow Jews living in Persia. Trade deadline has passed, and the Minnesota Wild have clearly made the biggest splash in the league (that just so happened a month prior to the deadline) with Quinn Hughes.
