Gillian Welch has blessed us with a LONG lost collection of songs called 'Boots No. 2: The Long Lost Songs, Vol. 1' - this is the first of 3 volumes coming this year which were recorded back in 2002. These were written and recorded in one weekend between her and David Rawlings, and in spite of the speed, they're still a strong example of excellent songwriting. Today's episode chronicles the story and a few favorites from Vol. 1!
