And welcome to the program. I I gotta start out the program by telling you that we are having some, major technical issues right now in the studio. And I'll be honest with you, I can't even hear myself talking right now, so I'm just going to, assume that we are we're on the air right now. So, you guys let me know over on the text line how everything sounds. We are we are also streaming. Let me know on the stream how everything sounds because, right now, it sounds like I am speaking through a microphone that is immersed in a bag of cornflakes, and somebody is crunching them. So I have I have no idea how things sound right now. But, hopefully, we'll get this thing straightened out soon because, an entire show like this is gonna be, well, challenging to say the least. But welcome to the program. Hope you're having a great Wednesday. I'd I can't wait to talk to you guys today, if I'm even able to talk to you guys today. But let's give it an old try on the, the PhD weight loss talk line at 809050989, and we'll see what happens with that. So, there was a a story that came out today. And and this may or may not surprise you. Somebody says, somebody says we sound clear out there. So good. I'm I'm glad of that. I just wish I sounded clear in my own head here. The South Carolina legal community you know what I'm gonna do? I'm gonna take off my headphones real quick, and maybe maybe then. That's better. The South Carolina legal community has united listen to this. South Carolina legal community has united against federal deportation tactics in an open letter. Over 230 South Carolina lawyers and former judges are working to raise awareness and speak out against the federal government's ongoing deportation efforts. In a letter, the law use, lawyers argue that removal of people from The US to a foreign prison without a chance to contest the action in court is a threat to the country's most basics, basic freedoms. Now here's the thing. Most of these people that have been deported and are scheduled to be deported have already had their day in court. That's already happened. They've had all of this has happened, and the judge has decided, and the the courts have decided that you have to leave this country now. You've got your deportation orders. Some of the signers, of the open letter include South Carolina Supreme Court Justice John Waller Junior, retired SC Circuit judges Gary Clark, Gary Clary, rather, Brooks Goldsmith, Reginald Lloyd, and Charles w Whetstone. They say we have rejected the proposition that our government can defy the courts and refuse to correct its errors by citing the extraterritorial status of the person unlawfully removed. If the governor if the government's actions stand, it is and this is where they get ridiculous. If the government's actions stand, it is only a matter of time before it uses rendition tactics to remove US citizens to a foreign prison. So these these legislators here in South Carolina, they're trying to claim now that the Trump administration, if they follow along this path, will very soon not just be deporting illegal immigrants to foreign prisons, they will be deporting US citizens. US citizens as well. BS. What a load of bunk. What an absolute load of bunk coming from some, former members of the legislate well, not really legislators, but justices and lawyers here in South Carolina. What a boatload of BS. Nobody in the Trump administration is going, you know, it's a pretty good oh, you know what we need to do. Now if we don't like somebody you see, they are conflating what the Biden administration did in going after political prisoners with what, what what the Trump administration is doing. And what the Trump administration is doing is trying to remove illegal immigrants from our country. Pretty amazing. Right? So I I just I it it's so ridiculous. Now why would lawyers sign on to an open letter like this? Anybody got any idea? I got a real good idea. I got a great idea. Because they m ...

In this episode we dive into a lesser-known compilation from Dundee, 1996, titled 'After the Storm', which was created to raise funds for 18U. We explore the tracks, uncovering a mix of genres from 80s power ballads to 90s dance and country influences. There's a lot of colourful and, shall we say, sometimes questionable, musical efforts showcased in this CD, and as ever we humorously navigate the ups and downs of their listening experience. Highlights include oddities like George McFarlane's rap experiment and a cheerful dance track by Bliss. They wrap up with an existential crisis triggered by Real Gone Kid by Deacon Blue.
