Ryan Luthi has worn a lot of hats in the real estate space. From agent, to investor, and now working with buyers who many banks would deem "unBankable." Not every buyer fits the cookie cutter box that lenders have in place. Ryan has rolled up his sleeves to meet a need to help buyers purchase property that traditional banks and lenders may have turned away from. As Co-Owner of unBankable, Ryan has found a niche in the market. In addition, he owns a current portfolio of 87 doors consisting of multi-family, syndications, sober homes, single-family, along with a short-term rental in the Wisconsin Dells area. FOLLOW RYAN

She focuses on building up the company's global brand and reputation among customers, employees and shareholders. And in this episode, she'll share how to effectively manage employee feedback, deliver a consumer-grade digital employee experience, and market your EX to top talent.Quotes*”Our employees make a decision to come to work at Assurant. It's a lot about what they do and the role that they're in, but also the connection to the company and vision, mission and values. So it requires us to not just assume a cookie cutter approach. But to be willing to change and adapt to our growing and diverse workforce.”*”I think about our employees as our single most important customer. Because they are the key to delivering for our customers each and every day. I think about the basic marketing principles around attracting a customer and sharing that value proposition. And really explaining what does the company do, what does it stand for?”*”Very similar to the principles that apply to customer experience, you want human-centered design. And in this case, it's employee-centered. It starts with the employee and what do they need to achieve? And really thinking about that journey. How can we eliminate friction and continue to make it a generally positive, ideally delightful experience along the way?”*”Empathetic leadership is critical. Transparency and humility in terms of what we're all feeling, what we know, what we don't know. I think that's one of the golden rules in terms of leadership. Because the reality is for as much as we may be in leadership positions, it doesn't mean that we are somehow all-knowing. We are taking feedback and input and trying to make the best decisions we can.”Time Stamps*[5:04] The Flight Plan: Get to know Assurant*[6:45] First Class: Best EX practices at Assurant*[30:11] Turbulence: EX lessons learned*[34:50] How does Francesca lead in stressful situations?LinksConnect with Francesca on LinkedinLearn more about AssurantThanks to our friendsThis episode is brought to you by Firstup, the company that is redefining the digital employee experience to put people first and lift companies up by connecting every worker, everywhere with the information that helps them do their best work. J., Scholler, J., Batti, L., Kolaxi, A., Restivo, L., Luthi, A., Mameli, M., Nikoletopoulou, V. Abstract: With the emerging role of the autophagic machinery in healthy brain development and aging, there is a pressing need to better characterize its functions in different neuronal populations, providing cellular insight into autophagy-related brain diseases. Here, we generated and characterized mice with conditional ablation of atg5 in GABAergic neurons expressing parvalbumin (PV-atg5KO), mostly comprising fast-spiking interneurons, as well as Purkinje cells in the cerebellum. Using light-sheet microscopy to image PV neurons throughout the brain, we reveal that autophagy is required for the sustenance of Purkinje cells but not of PV-interneurons. Yet, proteomic analysis showed that autophagy deficiency in cortical and hippocampal PV-interneurons alters the proteostasis of key synaptic proteins, as well as the surface expression of glutamate receptor subunits. Consistently, hippocampal autophagy-deficient PV-interneurons exhibit reduced inhibitory neurotransmission and PV-atg5KO mice display excitation-inhibition imbalance in the hippocampus and memory deficits. Our findings demonstrate a neuronal type-specific vulnerability to autophagy deficiency, while also identifying PV-interneurons as cellular substrates where autophagy is required for memory. Joining us over the airwaves all the way from Geneva is Sacha Luthi, Global Head of Talent and Learning at Cartier and former Global Head of Talent at Gucci! In our conversation with Sacha, he candidly shares his views on power, learning, unique talent propositions, and so much more. We discuss the importance of leveraging on strength and measuring the impact of your deficiencies, as well as how we can motivate ourselves to learn and grow. Sasha fills us in on how he personally measures his success through self-reflection and evaluating his relevance in the respective field, and how he finds that placing himself in challenging situations allows for personal growth. Tune in today for some profound insights and advice from one of the world's finest Talent Leaders, and discover why learning should be convenient, but never easy.   Key Points From This Episode:   Sacha Luthi's nationality and polylingualism (and which languages he uses in different contexts.) Water for the Rose by Wayne LuthiOur world is a sea of poetry, yet with everyday demands for our attention and our survival, we are almost forced solely into the expedient. With little room left for a faculty that requires us to slow down for it to function, imagination, reflection, and wonder have to hitchhike to find their way to our deeper places. Like the old phonographs that played vinyl records, poems are running at 33rpm whereas the business of the everyday is running on 45 or 78rpm. 45 or 78rpm gets through the records a lot quicker but the beauty and clarity of the music are missed. The poems contained here are for when you have a moment to take that evening walk. The invitation is to find an experience of delight in an image or the association of images that we normally don't put together. My hope is that there are many pieces here that offer you a perspective that speaks to you in some way and maybe to a place in yourself that hasn't been spoken to for a while.Native of San Francisco, 4 years in USAF as an air traffic controller 2 years in England, 1 year in Thailand: 1969 during Viet Nam War. Graduated from San Francisco State. BA. International Relations Worked 1 year with Procter & Gamble travelling U.S. managing sampling distribution of products in various cities. Arrived in Louisville, Kentucky in 1974 and stayed, as I met my wife here. We have been together for 47 years. Worked 17 years with IBM, both accounts administration and financial analyst. Our dept was downsized out Sept 30th '94. Have been doing Landscape Design and Landscape Construction since Oct 1st of '74. Have just completed 27th year. Also: Private Pilot Taught/facilitated for The Manking Project. 2002-2012 Trained in Family Constellatiions personal growth work facilitation --- have taught in Jefferson County Jail "Pathways Program" and have given workshops in Kentucky State Reformatory for group belonging to "Shakespeare Behind Bars" https://www.amazon.com/Water-Rose-Wayne-Luthi-ebook/dp/B09CJ8V58Whttp://www.bluefunkbroadcasting.com/root/twia/wluthikpp.mp3I Am Here, Let's Go Home: Poems of San Francisco, of Earlier Times and Places by Wayne LuthiAs with a gourmet meal, the whole experience is a combination of flavors, scent, presentation, and atmosphere. It is this that I strive for in my writing. Poets often take what has been given to them in their experience and deconstruct and reconstruct perception in a way that can offer the unconsidered a different perspective. Sometimes lyric can quiet or console, sometimes it can stick as a pollen grain of realization. Experiences of images, places, and people are shared here for the inner world of imagination and reflection, hopefully in a way that joins with something in you. The theme and focus of this work is of a time period when I lived in San Francisco, England, and Thailand. I was fortunate to “live” in the coffee houses and on the streets of the beat poets, to spend endless hours in the late Lawrence Ferlinghetti's City Lights Book Store. I was fortunate to have been able to play as a child in the sacred hollows of the redwood trees. This book celebrates those worlds.https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09FBNMBHC

Nashville-based live entertainment professional Jordan Anderson has over seven years of experience in the music industry. Since developing a passion for discovering and sharing music with friends at a young age, she knew music would always play a big role in her life. As a student in the music business program at University of Georgia, she interned with Brown Cat (management, Widespread Panic) and quickly realized she wanted to pursue the live side of the industry. After moving to Nashville and completing an internship with AEG, Anderson landed her first job at Marathon Music Works & Exit/In. Her continued love of music discovery eventually led to booking her first show – Rainbow Kitten Surprise’s first Nashville show in 2016, opened by LUTHI - a resounding sold-out success at Exit/In. RKS was signed by an agent and manager within the week, and Anderson began managing LUTHI not long after. She rejoined AEG full-time as a Marketing Manager and worked on some of her favorite shows of her career so far, from Brandi Carlile’s six-night sold-out run at the iconic Ryman Auditorium to Elton John’s final tour dates in the Southeast. Anderson's most recent role as a Talent Buyer for legendary promoter AC Entertainment allowed her to continue learning in an industry she is constantly inspired by.

Agnieszka Joniak-Luthi‘s new book opens with a series of questions that animate the study. They include but are not limited to: What does being Han mean to those classified as Hanzu? What are the narratives of Han-ness today? What other collective identities matter to the Hanzu? What are their roles and meanings? How do they relate to one another and to minzu identity? Is the Han minzu an ethnic group? How can Hanzu seem so united in their Han-ness but at the same time be so fragmented and divided? Based on extensive fieldwork and interviews, The Han: China’s Diverse Majority (University of Washington Press, 2015) addresses these questions in a study that argues that the “Han” is a “historically contingent narration.” In offering a history of Han narration, the book charts a shift from premodern (largely Ming and Qing) culturalist modes and markers of Han-ness to modern modes of racialized nationalism. After an early treatment of this historical shift, several chapters of Joniak-Luthi’s book focus on contemporary narratives and markers of Han-ness, looking carefully at the roles of education and language in forming and distributing modern markers that reflect a “nationalist symbolic order.” The book pays special attention to the importance of home-place identities, and to collective identity labels that informants used to identify themselves and others. This should be a must-read for anyone interested in historical and contemporary notions of identity in China. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

JUNG PODCAST #15 – FAIRY TALES 2In this episode we continue with Luthi's analysis of the European Folk Tale. In the previous episode we dealt with the one-dimensionality and the abstract nature of the fairy tale. In this episode, Luthi's ideas about the depthlessness of the fairy tale is reviewed. These three issues of fairy tales – one-dimensionality, abstractness and depthlessness are all critical aspects in dealing with a Jungian interpretation of the fairy tale. We also deal with why the fairy tale is so important to interpret from a Jungian perspective, primarily because it offers the purest example of the collective unconscious and also gives us a detailed sense of the process of individuation of the human psyche. Finally, this episode has a reading of the text of the classic Grimm's tale of “The Nixie of the Mill-Pond?, the tale we'll use as a basis for our first interpretation.
