2024 is just a stone's throw away…what's coming with you? What's staying in 2023? This year was a hella crazy year for the coaching industry, and I don't think anyone could have predicted any of it. And yet, there's one conversation I had, first week of February, that felt revolutionary at the time, but not so much today. So I'm bringing that conversation back - my most listened to episode in 214 episodes - my first interview with Mark Butler. Whether you've never heard our conversation or you were one of the many that listened to it repeatedly. Think about your year. Listen to our conversation. And then decide…how you are disrupting your business? What's staying in 2023? And what's coming with you in 2024? Get the full show notes and more information here: https://www.amylatta.com/215

I won't knock the fun of a new car, but let's create a December to Remember without needing a Lexus wrapped in a giant red bow. It not have to involve a new car. It starts by considering the path of least resistance in your business. Questioning where growth is actually necessary and where it's just exhausting. Remembering what's super important every day, and what you can let go of. And finally, remember the back to the basics - having conversations. Plus, a challenge I'm offering to commit to have conversations every day in the month of December. This December, remember it as the month you let go of what you gotta do, and what you want instead. This was heavy on my mind as I created my brand-new program, Elevate Your Income, focused on turning revenue into actual income for you, the coach. It's the 80s and 90s and the Mall was KING - you'd roam the mall with your friends, and you were just sucked in by some stores and totally could care less about others. Why? You felt a certain way, they spoke to who you were and what you vibed with. This is what good messaging in your business does. In a super mall of coaches, what is your space versus other spaces? How would you dress your coaching room so that your bestest clients had no doubt…she is for me. You'll know after listening to this episode. Listen, I do think it's a bag o' bones that so many coaches were sold on the dream of “come get certified and you'll be making 100K your first year.” It's not that the dream isn't possible. It's just that it's so much more nuanced than that, and the nuance was thrown out like the baby with the bathwater. In this episode, I break down the truth of the “100K first year,” why it's both possible and unrealistic, why you can celebrate it and 100 other versions of success, and what you can focus on instead right now, instead of continuing to flog yourself that you're not there. If you want to wallow, this ain't the episode for you. But if you want to reignite the possibility for yourself…I'm waiting for you inside. You can wait until everyone else assumes the best in you ... or you can do the only work that's actually possible. Assuming the best in you. In this episode, I help you find where you are still assuming the worst in yourself, how you let go of that for others, so you can transfer that to yourself. You'll know exactly what you're expecting the worst of from yourself in your business, and make a plan now for when that happens. This one is short and sweet, with the exact call-out you need to hear. Get the full show notes and more information here: https://www.amylatta.com/197
You're gonna want to send tender ears out the room for this one, because it packs an emotional punch, but also drops more f-bombs in one episode than in a comedy special. But it's an episode I need to hear, you need to hear, not just today, but every month, maybe even every week. It's how you're gonna strengthen the relationship you have with you, even when people assume the worst in you and want you to be different. Best yet, even though the title sounds like we're choosing violence…I promise this coaching tools is the most loving for you and for everyone else who expects you to show up different than you do. Maybe your messaging is all over the place, or you're in a content drought, or you haven't had any interest in months. But you are not quitting coaching. Aw, hells No! Ok! So. Now what? Good News: while there is a trend of lower revenue across the coaching and lots of other industries, there are coaches making more money this year than ever before. How do you know when you should just throw in the towel on your coaching business? It's time we talked about it, because from coaches who've never sign more than a client or two in two years, to coaches who've made six figures, there are many coaches feeling worn or frustrated or just not feeling it, and they're asking… how do you know when to quit? After this episode, you're gonna make some identity shifts and revisit your Why from an entirely empowered lens. From how you view your business to how you view yourself, to exploring sunk costs, you're gonna leave this episode with identity shifts and revisiting your Why from an entirely different lens. And you'll walk away feeling empowered in your decision, no matter what it is. Get the full show notes and more information here: https://www.amylatta.com/193
Disagreement and dissenting views can be a powerful part of the coaching process, and yet no one ever taught me how to really do that. Or why it's important. Or how it might hinder my results or my clients' results. So, this week, dive in with me on why we fear disagreement and shouldn't. How it makes your coaching so much better. And how I have learned how to do it, some by things I've always done, and some by things I have had to learn the long and hard way. Because when your clients know they can disagree with you, you both walk away more empowered and confident. Get the full show notes and more information here: https://www.amylatta.com/192
The G-word never fails to shut people down. Every time I use the word Goals, I see eyes glaze over and energies bottom out. We've talked about it ad nauseum, and while people want to set and achieve goals, the work of doing that just isn't fun. In this episode, I share why previous goal setting tools I've taught and used no longer work for me. Or have just become staid and boring. And how planning an anniversary trip, plus finally getting to the gym and sticking with it, created this completely new approach to creating what you want. If you want to figure out how to flip that switch in your mind from “this would be nice” to “I am doing this,” this is the episode you need. Coaching communities are rarely cults, but that doesn't mean they aren't using practices - in marketing, selling, and coaching - that are a lil' bit culty. And to me, this is the real dangerous area, because most of us don't see it, until we see it. This ep is a thick and juicy episode on what we've seen (and sometimes even done) that is a little bit culty, what to do instead, and how we got here in the first place. We'll do more deep dives into pieces of this conversation in future episode, but for now, grab your pens and notebooks, and let's jump in. It's time to stop side-eyeing other coaches just because they're hitting your goals and you didn't. Amazing things happen when women connect and cheer each other on. So why do we secretly want to tear each other down? My business bestie, Melanie Childers, returns for a powerful conversation on why women feel compelled to compete with one another, how this competition makes day to day life so much harder, and how we're gonna end the jealously and take over the world together, instead. This is the episode that tells you the one skill, the personal quality, every one of us needs to foster and develop. Because it's the attribute that is required to succeed. Oh, hey, just exposing some raw nerves and sensitive spots to continue the conversation on mental health and coaching. Because I was recently diagnosed with ADHD, it's had a huge impact on my life and my business, and also … in no way does having a mental health diagnosis have to mean you can't be successful. Your clients can't be successful. Even though I know for sure you mind is telling you so.I'm gonna take you through what finally led to reaching out for help, how it went from something I could manage to something I couldn't, what getting helped looked like, and steps to take if you think you may be struggling with something. There's a line between marketing that's influencing your audience and manipulating your audience. And HOO BOY, do some coaches like dancing on that line and even unabashedly crossing it. The question is ... if it works, does that mean we should do it, too? In this week's episode, I dive into what it means to prime your audience to buy from you, and tactics I no longer use, blatant do-not-do-that, and the grey areas. Why manipulative tactics are harmful to you, your audience, and the industry as a whole, and what we can do instead. You may not agree with all my Hot Takes, but we all just keep getting better when we continue the Shady Business Shit conversation. Without apology. Get the full show notes and more information here: http://www.amylatta.com/178
When your coach says “you can create anything you want, what will it be,” and your mind goes blank - I've just discovered a reason I've not heard anyone talking about in the coaching community. This is me, BTW, a mind that goes blank wall, radio silence, crickets when coaches have asked me that question, and I always assumed it was inadequacy, but I've found another reason. Not only does this explain so much of how I have showed up in coaching rooms, but it requires an entirely different way of coaching than what I've been doing. Some of you will be shouting, “Oh Em Gee, that's me!” Some of you, you just may use this episode to help coach clients who struggle with the same thing. Either way, we've just found a new coaching portal that will help more clients achieve big dreams. Get the full show notes and more information here: http://www.amylatta.com/177

It's time we have a conversation about how important money is, and how absolutely worthless it is. Like luck and hard work, the answer almost always lies somewhere in between. I'm sharing some super vulnerable insights into the money of my own business, what it taught me, the importance of making money, and what's actually more important than that. And save this one for every time you start to think some coaches have all the luck while you struggle. Get the full show notes and more information here: http://www.amylatta.com/173

How do you know what you should burn down and what you should double down on? We rarely have a coach that says, let's lay it all out on the table. Your mind drama doesn't have to stop you anymore. That's what my client, Kristin Lindell, learned in her six months in Path to 100K Mastermind - how to have conflicting thoughts at the same time, how to allow her drama to come with her, how to believe she's a brilliant coach who's amazing at selling, even when she gets three Nos in a row. Join two feminist badass coaches who are not afraid to call out people who have a lot of wealth, and who are doing damage to others, while they shine a light on the fact that wealth doesn't inherently do the damage, it's the person who is the perpetrator. After 10 years of coaching, here's what I know for sure: take credit for the success you have. Do not copy what everybody else is doing. Put everything out there. You do not need to wait until something's perfect before you put it out into the world. Stand on your own ideas, and be different and controversial. Do not spend energy thinking about what other people think of you. That's wasted energy. Failing and learning is the best use of your time and money because that's how you're going to grow and learn. We need to always be believing that we can create beyond what we've already created. That is the magic sauce. Get the full show notes and more information here: http://www.amylatta.com/166
