Chicago-based and sub-elite runner for the Nike Windrunners Karen Thomas is the epitome of a humble, fast runner. The first time she (accidentally) qualified for Boston, she stopped three times to fill her water bottle. She runs for the love of it, not the boasting or bragging. She also makes her own nutrition and only sipped on Gatorade during the 2023 Chicago marathon because her own beets based hydration exploded on the course, and she had no choice... and despite the hard time she was having, she also BQ'd for the second time. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/therunnersclubpodcast/message
