Welcome to your weekly UAS news update, we have 3 stories for you this week: FAA Reauthorization, DJI Mini 4K, and Robinson Helicopters purchased Ascent AeroSystems. First up, congress appears close to FAA reauthorization. The reauthorization is over 1,000 pages, with topics including BVLOS drone operations, fine increases for consumer violations, legislation over near collisions, quality control for large aircraft manufacturers, and FAA staffing. Congress now will need to vote in favor of the bill before it heads to the President's desk. During this time, we need to stay up to date on possible regulations going through Congress that may get lumped into the bill. The DAA has a new campaign opposing a section of the FAA Reauthorization that would prohibit the DOT from using any money for drones made in China along with the expected-to-be-introduced Drones for First Responders Act. The drone is currently available for sale on DJI's Amazon site, with no mention on DJI's official website. The Mini 4K supports recording up to 4K 30fps, and 2.7K up to 60 fps. Other specs remain similar to the old Mini 2 series, with a 31-minute flight time, 3 axis gimbal, smart features like quickshots, panoramic shots, and RTH. The Mini 4K comes in at $299 for the drone and controller, and the Fly-more combo with extra batteries at $449. This offers a more cost-effective option for those looking for a 4K drone, as compared to the Mini 3 at $419 for the drone and controller, and $589 for the fly more combo. If you're unfamiliar with Ascent, they make the Spirit Drone which is a coaxial tube-like drone primarily used by the military and some industries. The Spirit has a max takeoff weight of 13.5 lbs, an IP56 Rating, and a maximum flight time with a payload of 38 minutes. Ascent also makes the NX30, with a 15lb payload, 65-minute endurance, and 35-mile range. Robinson CEO David Smith hopes to ramp up production of Ascent's drones to hundreds a month. This week we have Raymond and Breck of Run Too Hard join us in discussing their run club and how they got their start as a group in Chicago. Raymond Melencio is originally from the Bay Area and moved to Chicago in 2010. He is one of the founding members of Run Too Hard and current Co-Captain. Raymond started running in his 30's, and his running journey is directly tied to the club, beginning in 2019 when the club was established. He completed his first marathon in 2022 (Chicago) and plans to run more in the future. (@raymond_pm) Breck Mahoney was born and raised on the southside of Chicago in Hyde Park. During a 10-year stint of living in Cali, where he completed his undergrad, MBA, and began a successful career in Ad Sales, living near the water introduced a strong passion for running. Now back in Chicago, living in the Humboldt Park area, he is one of the founding members of Run Too Hard and current Co-Captain. He has a few Half Marathons under his belt, but with the motivation of the amazing RTH fam and Chicago running community, he hopes to complete his first marathon (Chicago) later this Fall! Fell into idolatry again, which was a great evil in the sight of God, and what they were prone to fall into: and the Lord strengthened Eglon the king of Moab against Israel; put it into his heart to invade them, and encouraged him to it, and gave him success; what kings reigned over Moab between Balak and this king we know not: it is a commonly received notion of the Jews, that Ruth was the daughter of Eglon; see Rth_1:4; and it was about this time that Elimelech with his two sons went into Moab, and when many of those things recorded in the book of Ruth were transacted: because they had done evil in the sight of the Lord; which had greatly provoked him to anger, and was the cause of stirring up the king of Moab against them.

Drones are blast to use, but there's always the fear that you could lose it. That the communication could be lost between you and your, sometimes very expensive, piece of equipment. But there's a feature that a lot of good drones have one them called RTH or Return to Home.Imagine it's nighttime and you're trying to capture the moon over the water in 8k, but there's one problem, you've lost sight of your drone or got confused about the directional orientation of it. All you have to do is push RTH and the drone will automatically rise to a safe height and return to the spot it left from based upon the coordinates it's recorded, even if it's lost contact with the control pad.In the Christmas story, "rejoicing" is that tether, that RTH mechanism that even when we're lost, reconnects us back to where we came from, back to the one belief, the one idea that gets us home, Jesus. We all have moments when we've felt lost, alone or abandoned, but the question for ua today is, what is our RTH? Is it found in Jesus or is it tethered to things that much like the season of Christmas, will fade?Thanks for joining us today! Brooke came to me after 5 pelvic and thoracic surgeries to treat endometriosis and hip pain that was thought to be connected to it, and she was still suffering with symptoms moving and morphing. This week in drone news, Navajo Nation uses drones for medical deliveries, Drone saves a dog using a sausage, Osprey vs EVO 2, and a big update for the Mavic 3! A Native American-owned company called “MissionGo” will be helping launch the “Healing Eagle Feather” project This project will deliver essential materials such as insulin kits, meals, anti-venom, and emergency communication devices. Im letzten Teil könnt Ihr nun alles anwenden, was ich Euch die vier Teile vorher stückchenweise erzählt habe: denn wir gehen raus und fliegen! Tipp am Rande: wenn Euer Hersteller eine "Simulation" oder eine "Flugschule" als App oder PC-Anwendung hat, nutzt diese, auch wenn sie Geld kostet. Somit könnt Ihr ohne Crash-Gefahr die Grenzen der Drone in der Theorie probieren und gestärkt in die Praxis starten - gerade, wenn die Drone neben einem Normal- noch einen Sportmodus mit extrem schnellen Geschwindigkeiten kennt. Ratsam ist eine Checkliste. Die muss nicht lang sein, sollte aber nach Handbuch die wichtigsten Schritte und ToDos enthalten, damit Ihr sicher starten, fliegen und landen könnt. Wenn Ihr Klein- oder Ersatzteile mit Euch führt, nehmt diese mit auf, damit die nicht unbeabsichtigt vergessen oder verloren gehen. Auch wichtig: Typ 1 - 2 oder 3: welche Art von Remote nutzt Ihr? Damit ist eventuell die Belegung der Knüppel-Funktionen anders. Besonders in Momenten, in denen Panik ausbricht, müsst Ihr die Drone "blind" bedienen können, ohne nachdenken zu müssen, welcher Steuerknüppel nun der richtige ist. Noch zwei Empfehlungen: Startet die Drone "automatisch", damit für RTH der Startpunkt klar festgelegt ist. Und dann lasst sie auf zwei Meter kurz vorwärts, rechts, links und rückwärts fliegen, um zu checken, ob alles "ok" ist, keine Vibration oder "Schwankungen", etc. Wenn Ihr noch nie eine Drone geflogen seid, mein Tipp: Startet in geringer Höhe mit Figurenflügen: Rechteck, Kreis, Acht. Somit lernt Ihr Eure Drone noch besser kennen. Und dann: Passt auf die Killer auf (Regen, Wind, Hindernisse) - und VIEL SPAß MIT EUREM TOLLEN (NEUEN) HOBBY!!!! ---------------------------- Ich plane evtl. noch einen bzw. zwei weitere Teile: zum Einen Einstellungen für Film und Foto und einen dann wirklich letzten zum Thema Zubehör, must haves und nice to have.   Hard Verses Episode 8: Rahab Lied (Joshua 3, Hebrews 11:31, James 2:25). Wanted to thank Derek Crump for the suggestion for this episode.   The Problem. Let me take you back.  The children are about to go into the Promised Land in the book of Joshua.  This time they will make it.  The spies went into Jericho and this woman, Rahab the harlot, lied and hid the spies to have them escape.  She is heralded as a woman of faith and acclaim by God’s inspired word (Heb. 11:31, James 2:25).  This means that God is tolerant of lying as long as it is for a greater good.  This is called “situational ethics.”  Could this be the case?  I thought that all liars have their place in the lake of fire (Rev. 21:8).  This sounds like a problem. The Solution. What exactly does it say? Jos_2:1  And Joshua the son of Nun sent out of Shittim two men to spy secretly, saying, Go view the land, even Jericho. And they went, and came into an harlot's house, named Rahab, and lodged there. Jos 2:2  And it was told the king of Jericho, saying, Behold, there came men in hither to night of the children of Israel to search out the country. Jos_2:3  And the king of Jericho sent unto Rahab, saying, Bring forth the men that are come to thee, which are entered into thine house: for they be come to search out all the country. Jos 2:4  And the woman took the two men, and hid them, and said thus, There came men unto me, but I wist not whence they were: Jos 2:5  And it came to pass about the time of shutting of the gate, when it was dark, that the men went out: whither the men went I wot not: pursue after them quickly; for ye shall overtake them. Jos 2:6  But she had brought them up to the roof of the house, and hid them with the stalks of flax, which she had laid in order upon the roof. Jos 2:7  And the men pursued after them the way to Jordan unto the fords: and as soon as they which pursued after them were gone out, they shut the gate. Jos 2:8  And before they were laid down, she came up unto them upon the roof; Jos 2:9  And she said unto the men, I know that the LORD hath given you the land, and that your terror is fallen upon us, and that all the inhabitants of the land faint because of you. Jos 2:10  For we have heard how the LORD dried up the water of the Red sea for you, when ye came out of Egypt; and what ye did unto the two kings of the Amorites, that were on the other side Jordan, Sihon and Og, whom ye utterly destroyed. Jos 2:11  And as soon as we had heard these things, our hearts did melt, neither did there remain any more courage in any man, because of you: for the LORD your God, he is God in heaven above, and in earth beneath. Jos 2:12  Now therefore, I pray you, swear unto me by the LORD, since I have shewed you kindness, that ye will also shew kindness unto my father's house, and give me a true token: Jos 2:13  And that ye will save alive my father, and my mother, and my brethren, and my sisters, and all that they have, and deliver our lives from death. Jos 2:14  And the men answered her, Our life for yours, if ye utter not this our business. And it shall be, when the LORD hath given us the land, that we will deal kindly and truly with thee. Jos 2:15  Then she let them down by a cord through the window: for her house was upon the town wall, and she dwelt upon the wall. Jos 2:16  And she said unto them, Get you to the mountain, lest the pursuers meet you; and hide yourselves there three days, until the pursuers be returned: and afterward may ye go your way. Jos 2:17  And the men said unto her, We will be blameless of this thine oath which thou hast made us swear. Jos_6:17  And the city shall be accursed, even it, and all that are therein, to the LORD: only Rahab the harlot shall live, she and all that are with her in the house, because she hid the messengers that we sent. Jos_6:23  And the young men that were spies went in, and brought out Rahab, and her father, and her mother, and her brethren, and all that she had; and they brought out all her kindred, and left them without the camp of Israel. Jos_6:25  And Joshua saved Rahab the harlot alive, and her father's household, and all that she had; and she dwelleth in Israel even unto this day; because she hid the messengers, which Joshua sent to spy out Jericho. What all did she do that was so notable? She hid the spies (against the king’s orders). She bold-faced lied about their whereabouts and fabricated a story. She proclaimed her belief in their Lord (He is God in heaven above and in earth beneath, Joshua 2:11). She helped the spies out of the city. She made them promise to remember her and her family when they came back. Heb_11:31  By faith the harlot Rahab perished not with them that believed not, when she had received the spies with peace. Her faith saved her. When she received the spies.   Jas_2:25  Likewise also was not Rahab the harlot justified by works, when she had received the messengers, and had sent them out another way? She was justified by works. When she received the spies and helped them escape. What is missing is a commendation for lying. Lying is a direct violation of God’s law, Old and New Testament (Ex. 20:16Lev. 19:11; Prov. 6:6-19, Eph. 4:25, Col. 3:9).[1] The spies never asked her to lie.  The spies probably did not even know that she had lied.[2] Consider her position in life as well.  Wayne Jackson states the following” The case of Rahab is an example of where God honored a person due to their obedient faith in spite of a personal character flaw. Consider the following facts about this incident. Rahab was from a pagan environment. Her concept of morality and her personal lifestyle (she was a harlot) needed considerable refining. In spite of this sordid background, she had developed a genuine faith in Jehovah (Josh. 2:9ff.). She referred to Him as “God in heaven above, and on earth beneath....” Accordingly, when the spies approached her, she was not “disobedient” as were the others of Jericho, who perished in the destruction of the city, for she, through faith in God and His promises, received the spies in peace (Heb. 11:31), hid them, and sent them out another way (Jas. 2:25) [1986, 22:23].[3] It is apparent that Rahab did not continue to lie nor was she continuing her profession. What ever happened to Rahab? Mat 1:4  And Aram begat Aminadab; and Aminadab begat Naasson; and Naasson begat Salmon; Mat 1:5  And Salmon begat Booz of Rachab; and Booz begat Obed of Ruth; and Obed begat Jesse; Mat 1:6  And Jesse begat David the king; and David the king begat Solomon of her that had been the wife of Urias;   Rth 4:18  Now these are the generations of Pharez: Pharez begat Hezron, Rth 4:19  And Hezron begat Ram, and Ram begat Amminadab, Rth 4:20  And Amminadab begat Nahshon, and Nahshon begat Salmon, Rth 4:21  And Salmon begat Boaz, and Boaz begat Obed, Rth 4:22  And Obed begat Jesse, and Jesse begat David. The lesson for us today. If we are looking in the Bible to find ways to sin, we need to stop. We can never be wrong by respecting the living God. We may not know everything the Bible says to do, but what we do know we need to do to the best of our ability. Ziel der Arbeit war eine Erhebung des Status quo der Notarztversorgung in einer Region in Nordostbayern, wobei die Bedeutung der Luftrettung analysiert und der Bedarf für eine Ausweitung der Einsatzbereitschaft festgestellt wurde. Untersucht wurde eine Region von 257 Gemeinden im Einsatzgebiet des Rettungshubschraubers (RTH) Christoph 20 mit Standort in Bayreuth. Als Datengrundlage dienten die von den beteiligten Rettungsleitstellen erhobenen Einsatzdaten des Jahres 2000. Das Untersuchungsgebiet wird überwiegend durch 30 bodengebundene Notarztstandorte und den RTH Christoph 20 notärztlich versorgt. Alle Notarzteinsätze wurden nach Datum und Uhrzeit differenziert und einer Gemeinde zugeordnet. Der Anteil der Luftrettung ist dabei sehr heterogen. Es gibt Bereiche, für die Luftrettungsmittel durch die Lage abseits von bodengebundenen Notarztstandorten das schnellste und am häufigsten eingesetzte Rettungsmittel ist. Bisher wird der RTH aus Bayreuth bei Nacht nicht eingesetzt. Um den Bedarf zu ermitteln wurde das zusätzliche Einsatzpotential dieses Hubschraubers für die Nachtstunden errechnet. Es beträgt 891 Primäreinsätze für das Jahr 2000.
