This week we decided to interrupt our regularly scheduled series for Women’s History Month. I experienced a weekend of being sexually harassed by my son’s Head Coach. I didn’t know how to react to it as it was happening - because this is my son’s dream. I didn’t want him to be uncomfortable or experience a backlash because his Mom refused his coach’s sexual advances. Once the weekend was over, I had a chance to regroup and talk it out with Crissi, who said that he was going to stand by me. He said we had to fight no matter what, so that this doesn’t happen to anyone else. This is a very emotional + difficult topic for me to share…but the ladies + I thought that our private conversation was something that we should be sharing with others… Other women who may be in this situation, have gone through, or will face a similar situation - you are not alone.
