We’re glad that you’ve found people you can form a happy community with, and will be glad to see you back in the finale! But then there’s a history lesson about the fall of the Newt empire, how the loss of the music box meant the loss of the ability to perform the interdimensional conquest that their resources relied on. Somebody teach these guys about rockets please!

GC13 and David discuss Mother of Olms and Grime’s Pupil from Amphibia. Well that wasn’t a very prophetic prophecy. Or maybe we were just already ahead of the curve. At least now we know Sasha will get her cool anime powers back though! And after a spectacular, if predictable, performance by Sprig, the toads are on the team. Best you believe they’ll be back in time for the finale battle. How exciting!

GC13 and David discuss Commander Anne and Sprivy from Amphibia. Now that we’re back in Amphibia, it’s time to get down to the hard work of overthrowing King Andrias—so who’s going to be the commander? (Sasha? Can Sasha please be the commander? Please?) Now if only Sprig and Ivy could avoid treacherizing their leader long enough to complete their mission we’d have smoother missions than this. But I guess if robots deserve breaks, we deserve shenanigans.

GC13 and David discuss Escape to Amphibia from Amphibia (duh). Uh-oh, another two-parter where they skipped the intro? It’s time for the big deal stuff. Mr. X is in full antagonist mode (he’s still glorious though), and Anne is happily willing to show the FBI how they wage wars in the stars. Now they’re back in Amphibia, and the scenery is looking a lot less pretty than we remember. Andrias, you got some ‘splainin to do!

GC13 and David discuss Froggy Little Christmas from Amphibia. Well it’s here, the Rebecca Sugar song! Oh, yes, this was also a Christmas episode too, but we just can’t help ourselves. It definitely has meaning to us. So many wonderful presents! We got Rebecca Sugar, Anne’s mother got a float, and King Andrias even got a drone—he has such wonderful lackeys! Oh boy, here’s to hoping he doesn’t try to use it for something evil!

GC13 and David discuss Hollywood Hop-Pop and If You Give a Frog a Cookie from Amphibia. Hop-Pop has a catchphrase now? Say WHAT?!? (Sorry, they wouldn’t do it in the episode.) Hop-Pop proves his credentials as an excellent actor, becoming an overnight sensation based off of a single audition. Thankfully he’s also a real good guy, so instead of capturing a frog Mr. X (probably) just gets Humphrey’s autograph. Then the frogs get so close to a portal, and yet so far. You’d think Dr. Frake would have got over wanting to dissect frogs back in high school. Thankfully Terry has a conscience, and now an ongoing role too!

GC13 and David discuss Spider-Sprig and Olivia and Yunan from Amphibia. The episode was about Sprig’s adventure as Frog Man but was named Spider-Sprig for some reason, who can guess why? Well, it’s a fun superhero adventure, though Sprig missed his chance to be the Immortal Iron Tongue. Thank goodness Spider-Sprig brought the levity though, because Olivia and Yunan brings us to a dark, sinister place. Poor Marcy, you will be avenged rescued.

GC13 and David discuss Mr. X and Sprig’s Birthday from Amphibia. Well, we met Mr. X. He needs to be on Mysterious Mysteries of Strange Mystery, because this guy? Definitely crazy. But he loves his job, he’s definitely out there living his best life. And Sprig is eleven years old now, and Anne finally knows his birthday. Hopefully she won’t pull out all of the stops for his twelfth birthday—the city might not survive another Sprig birthday with Anne going all out.

Thankfully the IT Gals weren’t around to see the killing of the Frobot, they might not be so happy to see an ensouled being meet such a fate. Andreas probably would have enjoyed watching it though. Sleep deprived and making very bad decisions in how to proceed with her research, Anne decides that the best thing to do when she finds a vase depicting the music box is break into the museum and steal it. Well, at least Dr. Jan is a new friend for the team! The Plantars are just likeable sorts, they fit right in to the community at Anne’s temple! If only she had come back from tennis camp sooner…

GC13 and David discuss Thai Feud and Adventures in Catsitting from Amphibia. You know, Ned would probably get along pretty well with Ronaldo. Maybe they already know each other, they definitely shop at the same store! Just… Someone try to get those brakes fixed, okay? That’s definitely unsafe. It’s just too bad that Domino wasn’t able to get her paws on Cousin Stanley. There’s no freeloading on her watch, no sir!

For two glorious episodes we get to see Sasha and Grime defending themselves, excusing their previous actions because they only tried to murder everyone once. And it was glorious. Now it’s just time to hope that Sasha does the right thing. You probably already know whether she does or not, but it would be a waste of a fantastic guitar solo if she doesn’t, right?
