The deal between the parties was reached in the past few days. Alonso was represented by Glaser Weil Fink Howard Avchen & Shapiro LLP in the dispute, which went public on March 24.   The office of Alonso's attorney Patricia Glaser had no comment on the settlement when contacted by Deadline today. Disney did not return a request for comment.   Bracing For The Bloodbath: Disney Layoffs To Resume Monday https://deadline.com/2023/04/disney-layoffs-coming-tv-film-departments-1235329916/ From April 24-27, Mouse House employees in film and TV will lose their jobs every day (except Friday). A rep for Disney declined to comment. The sweeping layoffs are among the first major moves for Bob Iger since his surprise return as Disney CEO in late November. This round will get Disney close to the 7,000 goal. Virtually every Disney Entertainment entity — TV networks and studios, and film studios — is expected to be affected in a significant way.   Iger confirmed in March that three rounds of layoffs would occur as the company looks to reduce its workforce by about 7,000 employees in an effort to reach $5.5 billion in overall cost savings. The initial round came a few days before the company's annual shareholder meeting on April 3 and involved a consolidation of production operations across Disney TV Studios, Hulu, Freeform, and FX and the shutdown of the studio operations' Creative Acquisitions department.   Network programming and studio marketing are believed to be among the areas that will take a hit this time, and there will be a new round of cuts at ABC News. The remnants of the dismantled Disney Media and Entertainment Distribution are an obvious target, too.   And then there is Hulu. The parts of the company focused on streaming are particularly on edge given the mounting intrigue about Disney's plans for Hulu, particularly since it contributed to overall losses in streaming of $1.5 billion in the most recent quarter. Sources say Hulu will either become part of Disney+ or sold, most likely to Comcast because they have a 33% financial stake.   MARVEL STUDIOS ON DISNEY+   Spider-Man Movies Finally Coming to Disney+, Release Dates Revealed https://comicbook.com/movies/news/spider-man-movies-disney-plus-tom-holland-andrew-garfield-tobey-maguire-release-dates Spider-Man movies are coming to Disney+, and fans are shocked by the reveal. On April 21st, fans can catch the original Spider-Man from Sam Raimi and the beloved Spider-Man 2 and Spider-Man 3. Andrew Garfield's The Amazing Spider-Man also swings into fame tomorrow too. Finally, Tom Holland's solo MCU debut, Spider-Man: Homecoming, also appears on May 12! So, you'll have to wait a second for the latest Spidey releases. But you also catch Tom Hardy's Venom on Disney+ on May 12th. According to the report, Disney decided to fold Marvel Entertainment, a separate entity from Marvel Studios that focuses on consumer products, into larger business units in the company. Pilar Flynn is a co-executive producer/showrunner at the Walt Disney Company where she's producing the animated TV series “Marvel's Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur,” which is  based on Marvel's hit comic books. Pilar is involved in both the business side and the creative side of producing, which is rare. She's a Latina and mom of 2 girls that grew up in Chile and Ecuador. She dreamt of working in the entertainment industry and wanted to be a storyteller. Now, Mickey Mouse is her boss!  She began her animation career at DreamWorks where she co-produced the award-winning short, "First Flight," and worked on the production of films such as "The Road to El Dorado," "Sinbad," "Spirit," "Madagascar" and "Flushed Away." Pilar then went on to serve as associate producer of the animated feature film "Astroboy." She also co-produced the groundbreaking R-rated animated feature "Sausage Party" starring Seth Rogen. Pilar is a true leader that values her team and their contributions. She leads with kindness, creativity, and vulnerability. As a result, people trust her and also feel empowered to be creative, solve problems, and take risks. She's also a huge champion of creating more opportunities for diversity and inclusion on show teams and in storylines. Her most recent project is “Marvel's Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur,” which is all about a super-smart, Black teenage superhero who roller skates and saves the day with her 10-ton dinosaur that loves hot dogs.  It's out in February 2023.
