Entering the final stretch of the season with teams hoping to claim a playoff spot, the hype surrounding the start of the postseason has heightened, followed by tight races between teams all across the league. Setting a franchise record having made 8 consecutive playoff appearances, followed by 7 consecutive ALCS appearances, the Astros look to be on the brink of possibly being put out of playoff contention following the AL West's tight division race this year. Losing back-to-back series and still unable to score runs with runners in scoring position during this crucial time of the season, Dana weighs in on the Astros' recent struggles and hopes of pulling it together to win the pennant race.   

Looking to make the postseason and still leading the American League West Division ahead of their competitors, the Astros begin to draw lots of concern for fans after yesterday's loss to the Yankees. Teeing off against one of their biggest postseason rivals, the Astros lose their series opener with a final score of 7-1, leaving many shocked following the club's recent struggles, hoping to improve them before the postseason arrives. Anticipating a must-see pitching duel yesterday between Hunter Brown for the Astros and Tarik Skubal for the Tigers, surprisingly, both teams were unable to put up a run through 9 scoreless innings. Forcing the game into extra innings, the Tigers go on to walk it off with a 1-0 victory, taking the series win over the Astros with the rubber match set this afternoon. Still leading the AL West 2 games ahead of the Mariners and evaluating the Astros' recent series against Baltimore and Detroit, Dana Brown addresses a few lingering questions many have regarding the production in the clubhouse.

With the division race beginning to heat up, the Astros' lead has merely diminished as the Mariners come roaring back into the relay, now tying the Astros for first place in the AL West Division. Following last night's 14-1 loss to the Red Sox and now tying the series 1-1, Dana Brown joins and shares a few pointers from the Yankees series, a general overview of the Red Sox's series, and updates on a couple of players still on the IL.
