On today's show, Steve and Jeff start off hot looking at the last few roster spots available and who might be in that conversation to be in it, if the backup QB battle could be wrapped up before the end of the day, before cracking open the sound bank as we hear from Anfernee Orji chasing a roster spot on an already stacked Saints defense, and what is the deal with our running back, Kendre Miller who's been off the field for going on a month? Later on, Steve and Jeff break down why Spencer Rattler is such a fan favorite to lead this Saints team, what Foster Moreau does for the Saints locker room as a leading figure in accountability, and what a winning season looks like to him, head coach Dennis Allen, and the team as a whole.
Steve and Jeff hear from Foster Moreau on how he and his teammates push through injures deep into the season, holding accountability for himself and another former Raider, Derek Carr, and how fan sentiment is towards Carr as he continues to fill the Drew Brees shaped hole in fans eyes, and what the expectations are for a winning season in his eyes.
Steve and Jeff break down exactly why we Spencer Rattler is a fan favorite for the backup QB battle, if Taysom Hill could take any reps in the quarterback role, and we hear from Foster Moreau on becoming a serious leader and "accountability enforcer" among his teammates, if penalties could be the undoing of the Saints this season stopping them from being a playoff contender, and how the Superdome is looking with renovations still underway around and inside the stadium!

Heading into our final hour, Steve and Cullen hear a ton of audio from the likes of tight end Foster Moreau and LB Coach Michael Hodges on how the first week of Saints padded practice went as the defense has shone brightly and later on we hear from Brian Kelly on the first day of LSU football camp and how the Tigers are feeling with Day 1 under their belt, where John Emery is following his ACL tear last year, Sage Ryan playing two different positions over the spring and fall reps, and if the defense can take that next step beyond the dumpster fire that they were last year.
On today's show with the Saints having a day off out in Cali, the football doesn't stop as Mike and Cullen dive into the newest additions to the black & gold, before Blake Ruffino from the Are You Serious sports network joins the guys to recap the first day of fall camp for LSU football, how the Tigers look as they eye a replacement for Malik Nabers and Jayden Daniels and if the defense can plug the holes that plagued them last year. In the 2nd hour, Mike and Cullen are joined by Frank Scelfo, HC of the Southeastern Lions to talk about how the changing of the guard in the Southland Conference and what it means to recruit more in-state than out-of-state, and in the last hour, Steve and Cullen pop open that Saints sound bank as we hear from Michael Hodges, Saints LB Coach on what Willie Gay is bringing to the LB room and Foster Moreau, Saints tight end, on how he feels in Year 6 and the new Kubiak scheme in play.
Gio is dipping out of his diet this morning and will be eating a bacon, egg and cheese sandwich. The callers all seem to think that Boomer hates the Giants. NFL reporter Albert Breer said Robert Kraft is not happy with Bill Belichick and the state of the Patriots. Boomer thinks he could wind up with the Giants. The problem with that is Belichick is so involved with the Patriots. He's also the GM and his sons are also working there. Maybe he ends up at the Naval Academy. Or maybe the Bears. Jerry returns for his final update of the morning but first, what if we get a Lions/Jags Super Bowl? There would be no juice. Gio wants Cowboys/Dolphins. The Jaguars beat the Saints in New Orleans last night and Jerry has some play-by-play audio. Derek Carr said ‘it sucks right now' but they are calling it out and working past it. Saints TE Foster Moreau dropped a TD pass and was extremely dejected after the game. Saquon Barkley does not want to get traded but he knows it's out of his control. The Astros beat the Rangers and evened the series 2-2. The Diamondbacks got a win last night in Arizona against the Phillies. The Phils still lead the series 2-1. The Moment of The Day involves Gio vs Rose the caller. In the final segment of the week, our NFL picks with Boomer, Gio and Jerry.
Hour 1 This is a big week for the Giants as they face Washington on Sunday. Gio thinks this is the week they turn it around. If they don't, it's time to turn out the lights on the season and trade Saquon and anybody else that other teams are interested in. It looks like Tyrod Taylor will start again this week and Boomer said he did not play bad last week. The Saints lost at home last night to the Jaguars. Derek Carr threw the ball 55 drops and he had a bad drop in the end zone at the end of the game by the tight end. Boomer wonders if Gio thinks the Jets will make the playoffs. Gio thinks they are a bit overrated right now. Gio thinks the Jets will be 8-9 and not make the playoffs. Boomer thinks they will go 9-8 but not make the playoffs with that in the AFC. Gio is still loving Mike White and misses him. Jerry is here for his first update but first Jerry reports that Gio beat Boomer quite easily on the golf course yesterday. Jerry has play-by-play of the Jaguars beating the Saints in New Orleans. Saints TE Foster Moreau dropped a TD pass in the end zone that could have tied the game. Saquon Barkley was asked about being on the trading block. The Astros beat the Rangers in Arlington. Jordan Montgomery vs Justin Verlander later today. The Diamondbacks got a win with a game winning single. And the Rangers lost to the Predators. In the final segment of the hour, the Texas Rangers are loving the band Creed and it reminded Gio that he once stayed at a hotel where Creed was staying while in Hawaii. In high school, Gio thought they were losers. Rose calls in and her and Gio scream at each other over BT vs Evan. Hour 2 A caller wants to know if Creed is in Boomer's top 5 bands. They are not. Another caller thinks the Jets will be better than 9-8. A caller said Creed is part of the ‘Divorce Dad Rock' playlists. A caller thinks Boomer hates the Giants. Jerry returns for an update and has all the audio of Evan Roberts calling out Brandon Tierney for wearing Jordans as a Knicks fan. BT called Evan a geek and a ‘swamp ass slob'. Evan once glanced at Howard Stern at the urinal. Tiki said Jeremy Shockey was ‘a large human being'. The Jaguars beat the Saints in New Orleans. Saints TE Foster Moreau dropped a TD in the end zone that would have tied it at the end of the game. Saquon Barkley does not want to be dealt at the trade deadline. Boomer seems very certain that the Jets are going to ‘drill' the Giants next weekend. In the final segment of the hour, we are getting another rainy Saturday but Sunday looks good for the Giants game. If the Giants don't win it is going to be ugly around here on Monday. There is not a more disappointing team than the Giants this season. ‘Expectation is the thief of joy' is a very fitting saying right now. Eagles/Dolphins will be the best game of the weekend and it's the Sunday night game. Hour 3 Boomer called Gio a ‘grunge elitist' because he doesn't like Creed. Boomer wonders who's more popular, Creed or Mike & The Maddog. Gio thinks Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift are going to get married. Boomer called her last boyfriend a ‘cheese ball slug'. Jerry is here for another update and starts with the Jaguars beating the Saints in New Orleans. Gio wonders if Doug Pederson is the most underrated coach. Saints TE Foster Moreau dropped a would-be TD and felt horrendous after the game. The Giants have not scored a TD since week 3 and Mike Kafka talked about that. The Astros beat the Rangers in Arlington. The Diamondbacks beat the Phillies with a walk off single. In the final segment of the hour, Patrick Mahomes might have to punt this week as their punter may be injured. Boomer did a pooch punt once in his career. Is there a line that's speaking to you this week? Hour 4 Gio is dipping out of his diet this morning and will be eating a bacon, egg and cheese sandwich. Recorded: May 15th 2023 | On today's episode, Will is riding solo as Taylor is handling some personal things. Right off the bat, Will learns that Dylan Railoa committed to Georgia and not Will/his fathers alma mater, Nebraska. As you can assume, Will was gutted after hearing this news. Following that news, Will gets into the latest in the Iowa student athletes getting in trouble for gambling and has some choice words about that situation. He then dives into the Ja Morant saga. Will talks about how the veterans on his team need to step in and have a heart to heart with Ja in order for this to not happen again. In a feel good story, the boy Foster Moreau signed his deal with the Saints.
