May 28th 2022. 19-year old Utah farmer Dylan Rounds tells his grandmother on the phone he was moving his grain truck into the shed before a storm. No one heard from him again. His disappearance turns to a murder investigation after evidence is linked to a 58-year old man who was squatting in a camper near his farm. 

A mistrial is declared in Karen Read's murder trial. Police in Miami-Dade County announce the arrest of a teenager for the murder of his ex-girlfriend's mother. Daniel Callihan, the Louisiana man accused of murdering a woman and her child last month, was in federal court. The man convicted of killing 19-year-old Dylan Rounds in 2022 has been sentenced.

Dylan Rounds wanted to be a farmer. When he was 16 years old, his grandfather bought 643 acres of land in Utah with the understanding that Dyland would work it. He was dedicated and worked extremely hard. But at 19, Dylan vanished over Memorial Day weekend in 2022. Join Mike and Morf as they discuss the disappearance and murder of Dylan Rounds. In 2019, 19-year-old Dylan Rounds and his grandfather purchased land together in Lucin, Utah, marking the beginning of Dylan's lifelong dream to own and operate his own farm. Dylan spent two Summers getting the land ready to farm, and by the Spring of 2022, it was finally ready for the first crop. On the evening of May 27th Dylan worked later than usual, trying to get the seed planted before it rained and then on the morning of May 28th Dylan spoke to his grandmother, but this would be the last person to ever hear from Dylan. An arrest was made in March of 2024 and In April, skeletal remains found in a remote part of western Utah were identified as Dylan Rounds. Over the years, there had been allegations of abuse by other family members. In March 2024, Veronica was only able to see her children via supervised visits due to the allegations. On March 30, Veronica set out with Jilian Kelley to pick up her children to attend a birthday party.  Jilian was an acquaintance who had been allowed by the court to supervise Veronica's visits with her children.   The two women would never arrive to pick up the children.  Their vehicle was found abandoned in a remote area. Pools of blood, a hammer and gun paraphernalia was found at the scene.  Four people have now been arrested in relation to this case.  They are Tad Cullum, Tifany Adams, Cole Twombly, and Cora Twombly.  This case is a very tangled web - Tifany was Veronica's ex-mother-in-law.  The newly released affidavit suggests that the women were murdered because Tifany was concerned that Veronica would soon be granted unsupervised visitation with the kids.   In this episode of the True Crime Society Podcast, we discuss the brutal murders of Veronica Butler and Jilian Kelley. Join us for this episode of the True Crime Society Podcast as we discuss the cases of two missing people – Dylan Rounds and Christina Lee Powell.   19 year-old farmer Dylan Rounds was last heard from in May 2022.  He told his grandmother he was going to move a grain truck out of the rain on his Utah farm. The truck was moved and Dylan has not been heard from again. There are a lot of players and strange occurrences in Dylan's case.  Just days before he vanished, he had an encounter with a man named Chase Venstra.  Chase was barefoot in the desert and acting erratically.  He asked Dylan for a ride and media reports say that Dylan refused.  Chase has since been arrested on other charges.   Is he responsible for Dylan's disappearance?  Or does Dylan's neighbour, James Brenner know where Dylan is? DAHO FALLS — The FBI is now involved in the case of an eastern Idaho man who disappeared from a remote farm near the Utah/Nevada border nearly a month ago. Dylan Rounds, 19, had been farming in the desert town of Lucin, Utah during summer months over the past few years. His grandmother last spoke with him on Saturday, May 28 and nobody has heard from him since then. There has been no sign of Rounds anywhere and no activity on his cell phone or bank account, according to his parents. RELATED | The boots of a missing young man have been found, and his mother is speaking about his disappearance Multiple searches have been conducted in the remote Utah town and in nearby Montello, Nevada. The Box Elder County Sheriff's Office is the lead law enforcement agency but the FBI confirms they are now helping with the investigation. “We routinely offer our assistance and resources to our law enforcement partners,” FBI spokeswoman Sandra Barker tells EastIdahoNews.com. A plea for help Dylan's mom and dad sat down with EastIdahoNews.com Wednesday in their first joint interview since their son vanished. They hope the FBI's involvement will lead to some answers. “The main goal is to find Dylan. That's the first and only priority but (the other goal) is to just find out who did what and make sure they get what they got coming to them with the law or whatever,” says Justin Rounds, Dylan's father.

The hunt for Dylan Rounds #DylanRounds #CandiceCooley #Missingperson #FoulPlay BRIGHAM CITY — A young Box Elder County farmer remains missing three weeks after he was last seen just over the Utah line in Montello, Nevada, and a Box Elder County sheriff's official said Thursday the case is an active criminal investigation. “We are looking at all avenues as to why he's missing,” Box Elder Chief Deputy Cade Palmer said of Dylan Rounds, 19, who lived in a trailer at his farm in the Lucin area on the county's western edge. “Our son did not walk into the desert and disappear,” Rounds' mother, Candice Cooley, of Twin Falls, Idaho, said in a Facebook post. “His farm and everything he's worked for is out there and someone knows something.” She said her son was last seen in Montello on May 27 and that his boots were found three days later behind a dirt pile about 5 miles west of his farm. The parents have offered a $20,000 reward for information about Rounds. Palmer declined to release further information about the disappearance due to the criminal investigation. But regarding the search, he said Box Elder deputies have covered 3,000 miles in their searching. Numerous law enforcement and search and rescue units have helped, such as the Box Elder County Horse Posse, the Elko County, Nevada, Sheriff's Office, Weber County Sheriff's Search and Rescue and the Utah Department of Public Safety's Aero Bureau. Palmer said anyone with information about Rounds' disappearance can call the sheriff's office at 434-723-5227, ext. 3894 or 3131. Efforts to contact Cooley were not immediately successful.

Dylan Rounds, 19, has been missing from his Utah farm since May 28. That morning, Rounds spoke with his grandmother, and that was the last time anyone spoke to the farmer. His pickup truck and other equipment remain on the property, but his wallet and phone are gone.
