May 28th 2022. 19-year old Utah farmer Dylan Rounds tells his grandmother on the phone he was moving his grain truck into the shed before a storm. No one heard from him again. His disappearance turns to a murder investigation after evidence is linked to a 58-year old man who was squatting in a camper near his farm. 

A mistrial is declared in Karen Read's murder trial. Police in Miami-Dade County announce the arrest of a teenager for the murder of his ex-girlfriend's mother. Daniel Callihan, the Louisiana man accused of murdering a woman and her child last month, was in federal court. The man convicted of killing 19-year-old Dylan Rounds in 2022 has been sentenced.

In 2019, 19-year-old Dylan Rounds and his grandfather purchased land together in Lucin, Utah, marking the beginning of Dylan's lifelong dream to own and operate his own farm. Dylan spent two Summers getting the land ready to farm, and by the Spring of 2022, it was finally ready for the first crop. On the evening of May 27th Dylan worked later than usual, trying to get the seed planted before it rained and then on the morning of May 28th Dylan spoke to his grandmother, but this would be the last person to ever hear from Dylan. An arrest was made in March of 2024 and In April, skeletal remains found in a remote part of western Utah were identified as Dylan Rounds. Over the years, there had been allegations of abuse by other family members. In March 2024, Veronica was only able to see her children via supervised visits due to the allegations. On March 30, Veronica set out with Jilian Kelley to pick up her children to attend a birthday party.  Jilian was an acquaintance who had been allowed by the court to supervise Veronica's visits with her children.   The two women would never arrive to pick up the children.  Their vehicle was found abandoned in a remote area. Pools of blood, a hammer and gun paraphernalia was found at the scene.  Four people have now been arrested in relation to this case.  They are Tad Cullum, Tifany Adams, Cole Twombly, and Cora Twombly.  This case is a very tangled web - Tifany was Veronica's ex-mother-in-law.  The newly released affidavit suggests that the women were murdered because Tifany was concerned that Veronica would soon be granted unsupervised visitation with the kids.   In this episode of the True Crime Society Podcast, we discuss the brutal murders of Veronica Butler and Jilian Kelley. In May of 2022, a 19-year-old farmer in Utah went missing. The truck was moved and Dylan has not been heard from again. There are a lot of players and strange occurrences in Dylan's case.  Just days before he vanished, he had an encounter with a man named Chase Venstra.  Chase was barefoot in the desert and acting erratically.  He asked Dylan for a ride and media reports say that Dylan refused.  Chase has since been arrested on other charges.   Is he responsible for Dylan's disappearance?  Or does Dylan's neighbour, James Brenner know where Dylan is? Christina Lee Powell called her workplace on July 5 to say that she was running late for work.  Eerie final footage of her was captured on her Ring doorbell – she was carrying her handbag and seemed to be rushing to get out the door.  Christina never made it to work.  She remained missing for over three weeks.  Just before this episode was released, Christina was found deceased in the passenger seat of her vehicle in a restaurant parking lot in San Antonio, Texas.  Had her vehicle been there for the whole time she was missing?  How did nobody notice her? Dylan Rounds, 19, has been missing from his Utah farm since May 28. That morning, Rounds spoke with his grandmother, and that was the last time anyone spoke to the farmer.
