If so, submit your art in room 124 on the black cart or on the google classroom by March 13th. any and all art is welcome and will be displayed. ECOO contest Team registration is open. See Ms. Harris today. ECOO programming is a 4 member computing team contest. First round is board wide, (WRDSB) between March 25th and April 1st. Questions? Talk to Ms. Harris or the Computing Club leaders. Winners of the 1st round move on to regionals, at U of Western On, 2 WCI teams went to the regionals last year, maybe more this year? Register your team today. It's easier to remove a team than add later - Finalized date coming ASAP. Good Morning Vikes! Today is the first day to buy your principal for the day raffle tickets. All proceeds go to relay for life. Tickets are 25 cents for one and $1 for five. More info on posters around the school and wci info account. Interested in Boys Soccer? Senior Boys Soccer Tryouts are this week. Tuesday, March 10th we are in the main gym after school and Thursday, March 12th we are in the small gym. March 11 2020 Yesterday a busload of WCI ELLs went to Eastwood for the second annual WRDSB ESL/ELD English Speech Competition. Congratulations to the six WCI participants. The following won the WCI speech competition in their category: Fahad S., Shin-you D., Far-doe-sa A., Ali K. and Ab-dul-ma-jid A. All six represented WCI proudly at Eastwood yesterday. And Far-doe-sa A came away a champion in her division. We are so proud of all of you! Good Morning Vikes! Today is the first day to buy your principal for the day raffle tickets. All proceeds go to relay for life. Tickets are 25 cents for one and $1 for five. More info on posters around the school and wci info account. ECOO contest Team registration is open. She taught in the junior gifted program for 10 years and holds her specialists in Integration of Information and Computer Technology in Instruction as well as Special Education. Jen loves all things Google, Apple and Retro-Geek Gaming. Jen has enjoyed sharing her learning as a presenter on topics that include: Gaming, Social Media, Mindset, Wellness, VR, Video Conferencing, Coding and Robotics at events hosted by ETFO, OTF, OLA, Microsoft, EdTech Canada and ECOO.

Jim Cash completed his role as a Modern Learning Resource Teacher in the Peel District School Board and is heading back to the classroom. He holds a master's degree in educational technology and undergraduate degrees in cognitive psychology and education. In his career, he has taught Grades 1-8 in both Canada and Australia and has held headship and administrative roles. He is a regular presenter at conferences such as ECOO, Connect and BringIT Together and has written articles published by ISTE, OLA and TVO. In July 2018, he presented at the Scratch@MIT conference in Boston.

Leslie S. Conery, CAE, PhD, Deputy CEO and ISTE Conference Chair, holds an MS degree in computer science and a PhD in curriculum and instruction with research emphases in the areas of educational technology and professional development. Dr. Conery brings a learner-centered perspective to her work on education transformation based on extensive classroom teaching and school administration experience. She serves on ISTE's leadership team for the NETS, the widely recognized and adopted educational technology standards. Conery has served on numerous boards and advisory groups supporting innovative educators on every continent and has collaborated with educators and policy-makers globally to bring about systemic change in education. Recent projects include increasing the representation of women in technology, developing assessments for digital age learning skills, and serving on the board of ICIE, ISTE’s affiliate in India. Conery serves as executive management responsible for ISTE’s membership, education leadership, conference, marketing and communications, and operations activities in the Eugene, Oregon offices.
