Season 8 is still here and according to Daniel it isn't completely terrible yet! That doesn't mean there's really anything GOOD going on, but hey at this point the absense of some terribleness is a win in their book. Quinn is racist and Deb is disappointing. Daniel can't remember the word "lifesaver." Eric thinks this story should have been 5 seasona ago and agrees with Captain Houseboat on something?!? They're both going a little mad.If you enjoyed the show, please leave us a review wherever you listen to it! Dexter is an American television drama series which debuted on Showtime on October 1, 2006. The series centers on Dexter Morgan (Michael C. Hall), a blood spatter pattern analyst for the fictional Miami Metro Police Department (based on the real life Miami-Dade Police Department) who also leads a secret life as a serial killer. Set in Miami, the show's first season was largely based on the novel Darkly Dreaming Dexter, the first of the Dexter series novels by Jeff Lindsay. It was adapted for television by screenwriter James Manos, Jr., who wrote the first episode. Subsequent seasons have evolved independently of Lindsay's works.
Remember, like, 10 days ago when we were all pretty sure that our dumbshit president stumbled ass-first into a war with Iran? Well, I do. And, my good friend, Ken Culver and I used it as a launching point(pardon the usage) to talk about heavy topics and trying not to go insane from the weight of our stupid world, how best to express ourselves, and let others express themselves in the ways they need. Notes: The Star Trek: Deep Space Nine character name I couldn't remember was "Vic Fontaine." The comic book issue I am referencing is Amazing Spider-Man vol. 2 #36.
In this week’s episode, I sit down with Allison Wither and Laura Piccinin. Allison Wither and Laura Piccinin are the writers of the new Canadian musical Every Silver Lining, which was a part of the 2019 Toronto Fringe Festival and won “Patron’s Pick”. In our conversation today we discuss how they both began writing for the theatre separately as well as collaborators, how they began writing Every Silver Lining and what their collaboration on this piece has looked like, as well as their experiences performing the show as part of this year’s Fringe Festival. We also discuss the idea of grief in our lives and how to explore emotions truthfully and authentically in a musical while still allowing the audience to bring their own prior experiences to the show, what they have learned from producing their show and the advice they would give other artists when it comes to self-producing/promoting your own work, as well as some of the next steps for the show and where they hope to see the development of new works in Canada headed in the future.

How can you truly determine when a project is finished? It's definitely not done if you're at 95%. On today's podcast, our host spoke with Steve Chizmar, a Sales Engineer from Audio Visual Associates. They discussed how important the final 5% on a project is, how the cloud is changing perspectives, and the logical reason to have a dedicated AV department, instead of "just having the IT guys handle it". "To get to the 95%, that's the easy part. It's that last 5% of buttoning everything up, making sure your client is happy, and making sure you did the job to the best of your ability," Chizmar said. "That's the hardest part, that last 5%."

Every Silver Lining Has a Cloud: Relapse and the Symptoms of Sobriety with author Scott Stevens Nine out of ten people who quit drinking relapse at least once. The 2013 Indie Book Awards self-help finalist, "Every Silver Lining Has a Cloud" shows why it's not just once... without pithy slogans or trademarked solutions. From the author of "What the Early Worm Gets," a startling book defining Alcoholism, here's a book explaining how and why relapse happens, how to hold it at bay and why every non-alcoholic should care. Sobriety is a state of illness and its symptoms, left untreated, lead directly to lapse. Addressing the Symptoms of Sobriety is essential. The narrative dashes along peaks of anger, joy, desperation, relief and hope interspersed with solid data on the disease and guidance for avoiding relapse traps. It's not enough to just stop drinking.
