The crew welcomes in Mike Stahulak - a long time Jtown disc golfer and member of Team Link, a club that is actively working on improving Channahon's beloved Frank Grimes Disc Golf Course.  He explains the club's motivation for the work they've done and improvements that are in the works.  Mike is also running for J-town Club President, and gives us his state of the union on the disc golf scene and how he plans for growth and progress.  Sean just wants to be outside, and Alex is excited to join in on the hunt for One-eyed Willy's treasure.  Ryan got some free Cracker Barrel, and Jason has merch to send to Iceland.  

The crew invites a long overdue guest to sit down and give the lay of the land on the new Joliet course.  Steve Behrens, right-hand man of former guest of the show Mark Grabavoy, sets the record straight on the course that has had everyone talking for the last several years.  They'll learn why it has taken as long as it has, and why you can't rush perfection.  Steve fills us in on the details and decisions that were made to make a world class course, and his motivations for all that hard work and time spent.  Spoilers: it's worth the wait.Sean is inheriting a shoulder disorder from his brother, and Alex contributes his recent disc golf ability to his socks.  Ryan is just plain over it, and Jason (if you can possibly believe it) is excited about the GREATEST SHOW OF ALL TIME.

Another heavy hitter guest joins the crew for the season's second episode: Mr. Mike Krupicka.  The man holds many titles - Illinois Disc Golf Hall of Famer, PDGA Illinois State Coordinator, IOS Tournament Director, and Chairperson of the PDGA Rules and Regulations Advisory Committee, to name a few.  The guys chat everything disc golf with Mike, including what it takes to keep over 170 yearly events on the Illinois tournament schedule running like clockwork and a bit of how the rules of disc golf evolve and grow.  We also dive into running the mammoth Club Challenge at Lemon Lake and how it got to be such a beloved monster event.Mike also proves to be a worthy opponent in this episode's Trivia Portion of the Night. Alex mourns finding out his favorite disc is discontinued, and Sean minds his 'Ps and Qs' around our guest.  Ryan has an arguably indecent show-and-tell, and Jason reveals several childhood nicknames.

Its the season finale!  Probably.  Mike Fierke joins the crew to talk about what its been like to run 10 years of the ever popular Movember Doubles tournament and what the it means to him to raise awareness and funds for such a worthy cause.  Things get a little heavier as they also discuss some mental health issues and what disc golf brings to the table to combat such an often undiagnosed, and easily dismissed issue.  Sean hangs out with his friends and has a good time, and Alex is just a step in the bossman's ladder, but he's got dreams he'll never take away.  Ryan is elated over a warehouse full of hard wood, and Jason is still in love with a band he saw at Oysterfest in 2007.

Why haven't they done this sooner?  The crew brings in Veteran Mike Conlee to give us insight on a new revitalization of a local course that has been too close to the chopping block.  He explains his method for speaking with the parks department and meeting them where they're at to advocate for our sport.  He also talks about the touring life, his sponsorship with Latitude 64, and how everyone hates him for this one genius traffic hack.  The FFART season is also over - final scores are revealed and final spins are spun.  Sean can't wait for Saturday mornings, while Alex is succumbing to the dark side of technology.   Ryan is probably a giant cheater, and Jason reveals the GREATEST VIDEO GAME OF ALL TIME.

Road Trip!  Again!The crew was formally invited to take a trip around Lake Arvesta in South Haven Michigan and play the course with designer and Hall of Fame disc golfer Jim Schultz.  He sits in on the mic to talk about the the Lake Arvesta Sports Complex and how he fortunate he was to become a part of this amazing destination course.Sean eyes big things for disc golf, and Alex tells the tale of an earlier dip in the lake.  Ryan's shed vibe has increased exponentially, and Jason dreams of a car from loooong ago.

The crew has made their way to Fancher Farms, a mere stones throw from Callahan Acres, to officially christen the Shed and round-table some current events and general disc golf happenings.  They are joined by friend and past guest of the show, Mike Apostolou, to cover a variety of topics, including 888s, coffee with a K, why disc golfers should be paying more, and why its ok that half your friends don't play anymore. Sean has finally found gold in our area, and Alex just wants to have a piece of what Mike's got.  Ryan its stoked to be on his home turf, and Jason learns a life lesson. 

The crew is back together for another nonsensical episode, and this time they bring in long time listener/first time caller Geoff Chappelle.  He's a local Birdbrain club member, self-appointed number-cruncher, and all around good dude.  He gives us the ELI5 version of how disc golf statistics have and will continue to benefit the game and its players.  Locally, he has compiled data to improve the way his club's leagues and tournaments are run, and hopes to one day expand GeoffStatsLLC (not a real company) to a wider audience.Sean can't believe Dellwood has been around for 10 years already, and Alex defines his passion for nugget ice.  Ryan doesn't understand why people won't just buy things they like, and Jason has just experienced the GREATEST CONCERT OF ALL TIME.

We talk about the aftermath of last night, John wants to re-direct traffic, and we talk some FROLF!

The crew records the last episode of the first half of season 5.  The first half is relatively normal, but then they take things outside at Callahan Acres to get their hands dirty.  Sheila films while the boys construct a teepad, from start to almost finish, and they do it in 90s sitcom fashion.  This episode is multimedia - check out the UD socials pages for the video portion of this episodes Gin and Juice.  Meanwhile, Sean can only see danger in his future, and Alex has a secret neighbor poop-shamer.  Ryan can't get his mind out of the gutter, and Jason can't stay away from tasty salted pig parts.  

This is one for the books, folks.  Future guests take note:  there is no going back after this episodes guests, Jorge and David Piña, show up and kick things off right with a full barbeque spread that damn near brought the crew to tears.  Once they all had their fill of brisket, chicken, ribs and elotes, they got down to brass tacks and dug into how the Piña brothers (and family) continually make such a lasting impression on the disc golf community.  They discuss their ongoing involvement in, well... everything:  area leagues, tournaments, course projects and clean ups, and more.  Also, they try and find out how these two guys are somehow able to play every single tournament in the area.  The crew gets updates on the fantasy tournament, many wheels are spun, and the tiny wheel again makes an appearance or two. Sean is stoked about an email he received from what we all assume is a secret fan of the show (come on!), and Alex might have found the cause for his pinched nerve.  Ryan is excited about teaching a new dog old tricks, and Jason might not be from this planet. 

The crew settles back down at Callahan Acres to try and digest the giant meal that was the trip to Fox Prairie.  They discuss the course in more detail now that they have gotten the full picture from the Halley family - not just its history but what may be in its future.  They also chronical some of the nonsensical events that occured while on the way down and back.  After reminiscing, everyone gets an update on the Fantasy league.  There are plenty of spins to be spun and punishments to hand out.Sean steals Ryan's fired up for the Nth time and buys a weedwhacker, while Alex can't wait to be naked under a kimono.  Sheila has found the best kept secret in dining establishments, Ryan gets far to worked up about grass, and Jason is fired down about not being able to appreciate things like a teenage girl.

The UD crew takes a short-lived, but unforgettable trek to southern Illinois to check out the new and highly rated Fox Prairie disc golf course.  They all expected to play some disc golf and interview Erin and Raegan Halley (course creators), but what they experienced made this the trip they'll remember forever.  Midway through their first round at Fox Prairie on day one, they were able to experience the eclipse of the sun in totality (a detail that the 'deucer had made come to fruitation when originally planning the trip - because of course she did), which set the perfect tone for the rest of what was to come.The whole Halley clan immediately made them feel like family, keeping them well fed, well entertained and well rested.  They were given ATV tours, scooter tricks demonstrations, history lessons, and full access to their massive barn.The next day, they were able to sit down and record with the Halleys and get into how the course was made and what makes it so special.   After recording, Erin and Raegan joined them for another round so they could fully absorb the course in all its detail.Sean immediately wants to move to southern Illinois, while Alex can't stop laughing at Jason's cartoon snoring.  Ryan might start shopping at Walmart again, and Jason can't help but compare disc golf to video games.  

The guys are fresh off the course, after testing some new tee pads at Callahan Acres. They sit down with long time disc golfer and new Dellwood Disc Golf employee Ryan Stilson.  They touch on a wide variety of topics, from cats, to pizza, to mullets and beyond.  Ryan outlines his very complicated vetting process for being accepted as a member of Team Gateway, and why that small grass-roots company has recently been so successful.  He also sheds light on the photo phenomenon he started and his transition from the white-collar life to the high life at Dellwood Disc Golf.   Fantasy Frisbee is also updated, as the streak continues for one lucky bastard.Sean gives himself an ultimatum for the team challenge, and Alex is off the chain.  Ryan whores out his house for cash, and Jason cheats on UD with another podcast.  

Season 5 is in full swing as the guys bring in former Jomez crew member Andy Padula to discuss the ups-and-downs of accepting a dream job touring with some of the pioneers of modern disc golf media.  His story poignantly illustrates the struggles and growing pains of a booming hobby-turned-business and why all that glitters is not gold.The Open at Austin is also added to the points totals in the Fantasy Frisbee Analytics and Reconnaissance Tournament, and it continues to show how many nuts blind squirrels can actually find.  Many wheels are spun and shenanigans ensue. Sean opts for tee pads over zombie shelters, and Alex is seriously considering starting an Onlyfans account for the show.  Ryan is living in his own technological nightmare, and Jason makes us lose control.  

Season 5?  Really?  The guys took a short break and now they're back at it baby!  They kick it off with special guest, good friend, and fellow tournament director Mike Apostolou to share with us some of the latest and 'greatest' PDGA rule changes.  While there are many, they try and tackle the most important and controversial revisions.  They discuss their opinions and predict whether or not they will make an impact on typical tournament play.  Also revealed is the crews' latest and greatest idea - a fantasy disc golf league the details of which must be heard to be truly appreciated.  Sean is super excited about his log, and Alex just wants to poke everyone in the eye.  Ryan is looking forward to peepee pants, and Jason blindly stumbles into a commanding lead in the crews' new venture.

Alright, all you nerds, dust off the D12s and make your your wizard robe still fits - it's the episode you've been anticipating since last spring!  Sean, Alex, and Ryan finally embark on their quest to save the Deucer from the smoke monster in the epic conclusion of Dellwood and Dragons!  Recorded in front of an audience of some of the podcast's most die-hard fans, the Trio makes their way through Trinity Links disc golf course.   Right from the start, they're hit with a barrage of surprises that make the journey an unforgettable one.  Alex might just have loaded dice, and Sean has forgotten the lyrics to every song he's ever heard.  Ryan can't stand drinking plastic, and Jason goes through some life changes that need to be seen (and heard) to be believed.  

It's that time again, and the crew gets introspective with another season recap.  Jason Takes command as they're put on a timer to try and cram in as many highlights from each episode as they can remember.Sean and Sheila share a fired up, and Alex surprises everyone with overflowing holiday spirit.  Ryan will get a chance to prove he wasn't grown in a lab, and Jason finds out that he may have a future in the Japanese game show industry.  

The guys sit down for some real talk on a subject close to all their hearts - substance abuse and addiction.  Their guest, Mike Ferreira, has recovered from substance abuse disorder and been sober for 6 years, largely to the rediscovery of disc golf, the sport itself, and its community.  He gets into his struggles, experiences with substance abuse, and his long and winding path to recovery and what he can do to help.  Mike is in the early stages of starting a recovery and support disc golf club, and has big plans to grow the club into a non-profit organization that will aid those in the sport and outside it using disc golf as the path to heal and rehabilitate. Alex gets lost in pimple-popping videos, while Sean turns into a radio host from 1943.  Ryan has planted a flag on the nerd planet, and Jason can't help but feel sparkly.

The guys put together an episode that has been a long time in the making.  Disc golf legend Scott Stokely hops on the mic and makes himself at home at Callahan Acres.  Stokely shares candid stories, opinions and life lessons that are larger-than-life but also humblingly human and relatable - his entrepreneurial successes and failures, his beginnings with disc golf, and his commitment to bettering himself and others through the sport.   He takes them behind the making of his autobiography 'Growing Up Disc Golf' and the evolution of Blue Power Disc Golf which promotes disc golf for individuals with special needs and their families.Alex can't decide whether he's completely off smoking, while Sean gets misty-eyed about the Delly's.  Ryan is learning how to 'catch'em all', and Jason compares his nose to horror-movie villans' backsides.  

Alex returns and makes the group whole again, as Jason takes the reins in a sequel to the Season 2 fan favorite vodka-shot trivia!  Continuing on in the Halloween spirit, he tests the crew's knowledge of horror movies past and present.  With everyone's favorite mystery vodka shots as the buzzers, in this game, everyone's a loser!  The yuck faces were ever present.Sean gets in touch with his feelings, and Alex embraces the 'anxiety' nickname given to him while he was away.  Ryan divulges his still-present fear of Freddy Kruger, and Jason has a bathroom story that needs to be heard to be believed.  

The podcast is down a man, as Alex is sick with Covid.  The show must go on, however, so the 'Deucer steps in as the crew embraces the spookiest of seasons and discusses their own top 10 disc golf nightmares.  They reveal a lesser-known real life story about 'Dead Man's Cave', the now defunct dam behind the Canyon's hole 17 long tee pad.  Also, Sheila has just recently returned from her trip with the girls to Sandy Point.  While on their trip to disc golf heaven, Stu (Sandy Point's infamous groundskeeper) gave  them a tour of the supposedly haunted Lakeview cabin and gives them several first hand accounts of strange happenings.  Sean is finally ready for it all to wind down, and Sheila mistakenly trusts her husband with scratchy lottery tickets.  Ryan won't shut the f$&k up about the shed, and Jason may finally be done with Starbucks and manicures.  

They actually did it!  The crew drove down to the Destination-Penetration course winner and world famous Idlewild Disc Golf Course in Burlington, Kentucky.  They spent two full days taking in the intense and incredible disc golf that the greater Cincinnati area has to offer, as well as consuming some of the area's finest 'chili'.  They stopped at 'The Nati', famed midwest disc golf shop, and were able to convince owners Jason Kerl and Adam Jones to sit with them for an impromptu episode that is one of their best ever.  Set up just outside their shop amongst the background of Mt Airy's hole 1, they step away from the normal format and get into all things Cincinnati disc golf - what it takes to keep things rolling in the area, relationships with parks and the city, and the trials and tribulations of being a TD, past and present.  Sean immediately makes two new best friends, while Alex can't wait to get back to the hotel hot tub.  Ryan feels validated as a broke TD, and Jason is sore head-to-toe from diving into the deep end in his first official full round of disc golf.  

On this episode, the guys bring in Disc Golf Chicago's own Eric Savoie and Kevin Derrick to discuss their role in bringing disc golf to the city.  Their persistence with the park districts to be formally recognized as a viable and sustainable solution to preserving nature and allowing city-goers to enjoy green space is truly inspiring.   They get into all the events and tournaments they have run, and how they have turned into park district supported/funded programs for children and adults alike.  Also, they mention what is in store for the future of the community and their organization.  Alex plans to film a wedding for the first time, while Sean's PTSD resurfaces as he's reminded of events past.  Ryan just can't get behind Mexico's aliens, and Jason can't even figure out how to say our guests' names.

Happer is back! We talk sandwiches, Frolf, and Willie Nelson's spiritual beliefs.

Reinvigorated by some hot rounds in a sanctioned tournament, Sean and Ryan lead the discussion about the player experience.  Sean gets into re-igniting the competition fire after being in the thick of things and taking down the old man division.  Ryan touches on taking tournament play for granted and the player observations (good and bad) he noticed while competing.  Reimagining the TD/player balance and what will be done in the future to elevate the player experience are also discussed. Sean confesses to a short-lived minecraft obsession, while Alex probably will never go to a concert again.  Ryan builds a shed, and Jason gets a taste of his own trivia medicine.  

The guys bring in one of the OG Season 1 guests, and first lady guest, Amy Laskowski to the CAB.  They talk all things ladies disc golf - events happening around the area and around the world.  They also ask about changes in women's disc golf since Amy's first appearance on the show 3 years ago.  Most importantly, they shout out a whole gang of local ladies that deserve to be recognized.  Sean is moments away from getting cancelled, and Alex doesn't want a gusty breeze revealing his hot dog.  Ryan may or may not have a giant hole, and Jason knows the difference between an alligator and a crocodile.  

The guys bring in friend, disc golfer and cannabis connoisseur David Cope to the mic to get the latest with the Fox Valley Metro Disc Golf Club, and to get serious about the role cannabis has and should play on and off the course.  David has experience as a long time professional budtender and hosts a live Youtube show called 'Peace, Love and Cope'.  He gives some invaluable insight and knowledge about this unfortunately stigmatized plant.   They discuss some of the ways cannabis can/should be used on the course, but also medically as a viable treatment and as a very powerful symptom and pain reliever.  David surprises everyone with some nuggets from shows past and proves that he has been keeping up on the UD episodes.The guys also finish the Destination Penetration bracket, but things got very real with a twist!Sean geeks out about a different podcast, and Alex doesn't really care what happens, as long as he gets to go camping.  Ryan will never trust another guest of the show, and Jason pulls back the curtain to his maniacal mind and forces the guys to play a game he just made up while sitting in traffic. 

The guys have transported back from the lands of fantasy.  They return to the CAB joined by guests Patrick Haaker and Jason Allen - teachers that have started and successfully sustained disc golf clubs in their respective local schools.  They offer up their knowledge and experience in what it takes to get disc golf into students' hands.  Startup costs, bureaucracy, travel and time are discussed.  Patrick and Jason also talk mushrooms, cellphones, the lack of cellphones, and they join the guys for the 2nd round of 'Destination Penetration'.Sean is excited about Callahan Acres projects, while Alex reminisces about the repercussions of passing notes in class.  Ryan takes a ride on the nostalgic movie train and Jason has suddenly become interested and aroused by the Civil War.
