Top Nollywood actress, Genevieve Nnaji was spotted out recently at an event and her super fans were excited to know that she is fine after they'd seen some disturbing posts about her months ago. Artists Buju BNXN and Ruger are still out here fighting over who's got more hits without a collabo among other things. We wonder if their twitter fights will ever end. Also, streaming farms are at the centre of conversations these days as many are beginning to ponder the authenticity of their fave's numbers on various charts.

The Nigerian movie industry and the millions of dollars it makes still continue to produce trash movies. Even though the picture and sound qualities have improve significantly, the story lines and the acting remain mediocre at best. It is a shame that the rich stories from the country is not told but rather a repeat of the rich kid trying to marry a poor kid story is continuously told. The Juju and blaming misfortunes on the work of the devil or spiritual interference is the story of the day with the occasional armed robbery or slay queen/ashawo story sprinkled here and there. Genevieve Nnaji, Omotola, Mercy Johnson, Kanayo Kanayo, Pater Edochie, Ramsey Noah and Desmond Elliot have all tried to raise the bar in Nollywood but it seem the bar didn't shift by much. As for the Ghanaian movie scene, it is worse than a kid's project on YouTube. Ghallywood is so bad that Ghanaians refuse to support it. Gone are the days when Nadia Buari, Jackie Appiah, Yvonne Nelson, Yvonne Okoro, Martha Ankomah, Lydia Forson, Van Vicker, John Dumelo, Majod Michel and Joselyn Dumas were gracing the screens of every home in Ghana and beyond. Today most of these actors and actresses are struggling to support their lifestyles with John Dumelo venturing into politics and Elikem Kumordzie recently telling actors to ensure they have a second job. Veteran actor Kofi Adjorlolo complained about producers refusing to pay him after working. The Wahaala Boys look at the state of movies coming out of West Africa especially Ghallywood of Ghana and Nollywood of Nigeria. #Nollywood #Ghallywood #Ghanaianmovies #Nigerianmovies

In this episode we talk about the First Netflix Original from Nigeria "LIONHEART". A film written, directed and starring "Genevieve Nnaji", the most recognized face from Nollywood. It's an honorable directorial debut; it's a little different, its thoughtful, definitely worth a watch and talking about.
LionHeart is a film by Genevieve Nnaji that shows a tightly knit Igbo family navigating the difficulties of keeping the family business afloat. CNN news network continued with their disrespect of most things African during the recent interview with Nollywood actress Genevieve Nnaji. The presenter Richard Quest started off by question the quality of the movies produced in Nigeria. After repeatedly calling the industry low budget and low quality, he claimed that two tins of can and a string is better in terms of qaulity than the numerous movies made in Nollywood. He also questioned her expertise on directing the movie and also how she funded the movie. Genevieve on the other hand failed to defend the industry that she is part off. Hear what the Wahaala boys had to say about it. The audio for the interview was bad in the podcast but here is a link to the interview. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gfhJUCPFofg
