Celebrity gossip lip-readers have changed the game. Because of them we know Timothée Chalamet hated the Oscars, King Charles says F and Prince William had no time for 'Andrew’s' apology. So is that ‘zero privacy’ development fair play? And what DID Timmy say to his sister about Kylie Jenner? In other scurrilous gossip, we’re meant to think that Nicole Kidman has a new friends-to-lovers boyfriend, and that Keith Urban is 'reeling'. Hmmm. Plus, peptides are the new cottage cheese, in demand from both older women and teenage boys. Except, unregulated, they can be rather more dangerous than a protein-heavy snack. So what the hell is a peptide, and how worried should we be about influencers spruiking them? (Hint: Very) 'Our' Queen Mary is touring Australia and once upon a time, that would have guaranteed tabloid mayhem. These days everything is… quieter. Is that because a midlife Queen is less enticing to the attention economy than the Carrie-esque lure of the princess fairytale? Plus, Ethan Hawke has the best advice for those suffering from unrequited love. Yes, some ageing Gen X heartthrobs are still the real deal. In 2007, a family of three and their friend vanished from their secluded home in Nannup, Western Australia, leaving only a cryptic note claiming they had moved to Brazil. They never arrived. As investigators delved into the lives of Chantelle McDougall, her partner Simon Cadwell, their daughter Leela, and friend Tony Popic, they uncovered a web of doomsday prepping and cult-like spiritual beliefs. Was this a voluntary disappearance to a "higher plane," or something far more sinister? LINKS Listen to Expanse: The Nannup Four here. They’re breaking down why we’re addicted to the "dopamine hit" of a new purchase and the simple styling hacks—like the "hanging method"—that will help you finally edit your life. Plus, they discuss the "bouncer" you need at your wardrobe door to stop impulse buys in their tracks. Leigh's Boujie: Fuschia Shaw The Arden Coat (in Canvas), $479. Her life changed forever when her five-year-old daughter, Rose, bravely spoke up about a trusted family friend sexually assaulting her. That moment led Michelle to discover that both of her daughters had endured abuse for years, and it marked the start of the family’s journey toward justice and healing. In this episode, Michelle shares how she and her daughters, Pippa and Rose, navigated their challenges together, supported by their older sister Maggie and their father. Now adults, Pippa and Rose are using their voices to drive positive change in the way child victims are treated within the legal system. Their journey is a powerful testament to resilience, courage, and the unbreakable strength of family in overcoming adversity. Can you actually "reset" your brain chemicals with a five-minute walk? Can a newborn really weigh as much as a standard toddler? And if you had a hysterectomy decades ago, why is your pelvis still throbbing in pain? In this episode, we talk to Professor Simon Rosenbaum, a researcher and exercise psychologist at UNSW Sydney, to find out why "lifestyle change" is now considered a first-line treatment for depression in Australia. We unpack the science of the "brain reset", why the best workout for your mental health is simply the one you don’t hate, and how movement can be a secret superpower for your resilience. Plus, in Med School, we take a deep dive into the world of "giant babies”. From the TikTok trend of "chonky bubbas" to the world record holder who gave birth to a nearly 10kg infant (yes, you read that right), we celebrate the incredible, superhero feats of the female body. And, in our Quick Consult, Dr. Mariam helps Linda, a 70-year-old listener dealing with chronic pelvic pain 30 years post-hysterectomy. She explains the reality of internal scar tissue, why "zero" is the only normal amount of pain regardless of your age, and the team of experts you need to reclaim your quality of life. What happens when the "dream job" you hustled so hard to get...suddenly disappears? You're trapped in the story of who you think you should be, convinced you only fit into one box. When life tears up the script, that loss of identity can be paralysing. But what if that ending is actually the best thing that ever happened to you? What if the thing you’re doing as a "side hobby" is actually an empire waiting to be built? Tori Clapham is the powerhouse founder behind the boutique fitness brand, Peaches Pilates. Today, she oversees an empire with ten studios, an app used in 54 countries, and over $4 million in annual revenue. But the path there wasn't a straight line. Tori began as a performing arts student, moving from Far North Queensland to NYC and eventually landing a coveted creative role at MTV. Everything changed when she was made redundant. Left with a $10,000 cheque and a major life decision, Tori looked back at the casual Pilates sessions she ran for colleagues during lunch breaks and realized her "hobby" was actually her calling. She took a massive gamble, using her redundancy pay and travel savings to sign a lease on a tiny "shoebox" studio in Bondi. In this empowering episode of Pivot Club, Sarah and Tori cover the grit of DIY renovations, the risks involved when her husband quit his corporate job to join the team, and how their lo-fi workout videos accidentally prepared them for a global pandemic. They also dig into the "mini-pivot" of motherhood and how to build a business that serves your life, rather than the other way around. Get ready to learn why your biggest setbacks are often the things that propel you the most. THE END BITS: Want more from Sarah Davidson? Check out her podcast Seize The Yay. Rachel Ward recently went viral for a video filmed in a paddock on her farm. The internet had a lot to say about how she looked. At 66, the former Thorn Birds star suddenly found herself at the centre of a global conversation about ageing, beauty, and what people expect women who were once famous for their looks to look like decades later. In this episode of No Filter, Rachel talks to Kate Langbroek about the viral moment and why she believes the reaction had very little to do with her and everything to do with society’s discomfort with women ageing in public. Rachel reflects on her extraordinary life, from British aristocracy to international fame, from Hollywood film sets to regenerative farming on the mid north coast of New South Wales. She also speaks candidly about mental health, the “crumbles” that forced her to reassess everything, and the instinct she has learned to trust when it is time to leave one chapter of her life behind and begin another. Leigh and Kelly are back answering your burning beauty questions, alongside a special trend report from inside Sephora’s new product showcase! But first, beauty news correspondents Mollie and Cass unpack rhode newness and what it has to do with Carolyn Basset-Kennedy, concealer’s 2026 rebrand, and the ‘3-month rule’ that explains why having a viral beauty product isn’t enough to build a successful brand. Case in point: Medicube’s viral Kylie Jenner Korean skincare tool campaign wasn’t an accident… and didn’t come cheap. Leigh settles a debate that keeps coming up in her DMs: which is the correct way to wear your under-eye masks? Oh, and Kelly brings a gross but ultra satisfying hack for removing foul days-old fake tan in seconds. Plus, enjoy a skin science lesson that explains the difference between hydration and moisturisation, and why you need both for healthy, glowing skin. Today, we are bringing you a live episode recorded in Sydney that celebrates the strength, resilience and brilliance of women everywhere. This conversation is our tribute to that journey and a vital call to action to finally close the gender pain gap. Why are women consistently told that pain is "part and parcel" of the female experience? Following our chat with Kate Walsh, her and Claire are joined on the sofa for a panel discussion with four leading experts; PROFESSOR CAROLINE GARGETT: A world-leading reproductive and stem cell science researcher and Group Head of Endometrial Stem Cell Biology Laboratory with 28 years research experience in gynaecological research with a focus on endometriosis and developing a cell based therapy for Pelvic Organ Prolapse. THEA BAKER: Thea has treated women with complex trauma and co-morbid pain conditions as a Psychotherapist in Australia for over 10 years. She also has her own lived experience of chronic pain herself from endometriosis and osteoarthritis A/ PROFESSOR SUSAN EVANS: A specialist, researcher, educator, innovator, advocate and CEO in pelvic pain for over 20 years. As a gynaecologist, laparoscopic surgeon and pain physician, A/Prof Susan Evans Co-founded the Pelvic Pain Foundation of Australia, co-developed the Periods, Pain and Endometriosis Schools Program, and is now working with Alyra Biotech developing innovative new treatments for pelvic pain. PROFESSOR MARIA FIATARONE SINGH: A geriatrician whose research, clinical, and teaching career has focused on the integration of medicine, exercise physiology, and nutrition as a means to improve health status and quality of life across the lifespan. (Physical & Metabolic Longevity) We dive deep into why women’s symptoms are still frequently dismissed as psychological, the revolutionary potential of menstrual fluid in diagnostics and why "looking normal" on a scan doesn't mean the pain isn't real. From the first period to the complexities of ageing, our experts provide a roadmap for women to reclaim their health and advocate for their own bodies. We explore the "Pain Scale Paradox", revealing why the traditional 1-10 measurement fails those with chronic conditions, while unpacking the biological "amplifier" that predisposes women to persistent pain. It’s time to strip away the historical stigma of "hysteria" and replace it with a medical system that finally validates the female experience! Some women dream of launching a career before 25. Some dream of owning their first home. Jemma Lilley had a different goal: she wanted to kill someone before her 25th birthday, but she knew she couldn't do it alone. Obsessed with serial killers and violent fantasy, Lilley set her sights on turning desire into reality. She found an accomplice in Trudi Lenon, an impressionable single mother whom she gradually drew into her world of fixation and planning. Together, they searched for what they chillingly described as the “perfect victim.” They chose 18-year-old Aaron Pajich-Sweetman, a vulnerable teenager who was a friend of Lenon’s son. It is a case that still shocks those who hear it. A real-life horror story about manipulation, obsession, and the calculated, meticulous planning of two women who conspired to take the life of an innocent young man. The aesthetic us millennials had thought we’d left in the vault for good is officially back. This week, Tam and Lucinda are diving into the Noughties Fashion Revival—from the red carpets of the early 2000s to Gen Z's new takes on some of these classic trends. They’re unpacking the "tiny girl, big bag" era, the return of the iconic Chloe Paddington, and why JW Anderson's Pigeon Bag from And Just Like That has become a cautionary tale for the costume designers of the new Devil Wears Prada sequel. The girls also tackle the trends that give us all a little fashion PTSD: low-rise jeans, dresses over pants, and the trucker hat’s high-fashion makeover. Whether you're leaning into the nostalgia or watching from a safe distance, here is how to do Noughties 2.0. Lucinda's Boujie: Polo Ralph Lauren Cotton Canvas Vintage Ralph's Garage Trucker Hat, $152.40. Tam's Boujie: Araminta James AJ Terry Pant Mocha, $149. Kate Walsh has spent over a decade playing the legendary, world-class neonatal surgeon Dr. Addison Montgomery, but in 2015, she faced a terrifying medical crisis that required a neurosurgeon of her own. In this very special live episode recorded in Sydney, we celebrate the official launch of Season 2 of Well with a conversation that is as glamorous as it is raw and revealing. Host Claire Murphy is joined on stage by Kate to peel back the curtain on the woman behind the scrubs. While the world knows her as the formidable lead of Private Practice and the woman who made the most famous entrance in Grey’s Anatomy history, Kate joins us to share the deeply personal story of the year she became the patient. From the "menopause-like" symptoms that masked a life-threatening condition, to the frustrating reality of being dismissed by specialists, Kate discusses the 2015 diagnosis of a 5cm brain tumour. She recalls her diagnosis, the "gnarly" recovery that followed and her ongoing journey navigating early menopause and ageing in the spotlight. In this week's episode, we speak with Amanda Hartmann about her experience with developing skills and confidence when working with AAC users. Amanda reflects on the changes over the time she has been a speech pathologist and shares some of her learnings. Speech Pathology Australia acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of lands, seas and waters throughout Australia, and offers our respect to Elders, across all times and places. The Speak Up podcast recognises the central role of yarning and oral storytelling in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture, how this translates to knowledge translation, and that colonisation has interrupted these practices of Language and knowledge sharing. The Speak Up podcast acknowledges the need for truth-telling and deep listening, the central role that Language plays in connecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People with Culture, Country, and Community, and the interwoven nature of health, and social and emotional wellbeing. It’s not every day we get to spend time with Sydney’s best-kept skin secret. That’s why Amy Clark took over the You Beauty studio this week to bring you an interview with facialist of 30 years, Carina Gross. Long-time You Beauty listeners may know Carina as the owner of Belaméres skin clinic and the creator of the ‘fairy Dust’ skin treatment. She’s worked with thousands of women on their skin goals (including You Beauty’s own Leigh Campbell!), and specialises in a non-invasive, no bullsh*t approach to achieving healthy skin. On this episode of The Formula, Carina reveals the under-the-radar technologies and treatments no one else is really talking about, and the one thing that can make a major difference in your skin, starting tomorrow. She also unpacks the most common skin concerns she sees in clinic and why we see our skin change after 40, and shares the skincare analogies that settle the debate of whether consistent skincare or consistent skin treatments will deliver better results. Plus, Carina takes us inside her bathroom and breaks down her simple skincare routine (hint: it includes some little-known brands she reckons deserve more hype), along with her current spendy and savey product recommendations that shocked Amy to the core. EVERYTHING MENTIONED: Beauté Pacifique Chaperone Serum, $129. Beauté Pacifique Chaperone Day Cream, $149. Nimue Cleansing Gel Lite, $90. Beauté Pacifique Puffy Eyes Gel, $99. GERnétic skincare. What happens when you decide to take the leap with a dream you’ve been sitting on for years? For Lyndi Cohen, that dream meant pivoting into an industry she knew nothing about, long after she’d built her own successful empire. Lyndi’s first journey began after a decade-long battle with binge eating, leading her to build an anti-diet media brand from the ground up. She shortly evolved into who we now know as ‘The Nude Nutritionist’, becoming a renowned TV expert, author and app founder, helping thousands heal their relationships with food and body image. But one niggling idea wouldn’t go away...And now, Lyndi is making her most dramatic pivot of all. Leaping from the world of nutrition and landing herself straight into her very own fashion debut: launching a swimwear brand, Fearless. In this episode of Pivot Club, Sarah Davidson speaks with Lyndi about this massive industry leap. They unpack the "messy middle" of her entire career: graduating with no job prospects and using "SEO hacks to manifest a media career", to the $180,000 investment that was required to build a swimwear line from scratch. Lyndi shares her core belief that "the key to success is embarrassment" and why it's been essential for this new fashion venture. Join us for a raw and practical lesson in constant evolution, a deep dive into the strategy of scaling an idea and a powerful reminder that all the dots (even a high school fashion class) eventually connect, proving that you have to "do it terrified”. Engaged couples everywhere, like literally all over the world, are grappling with the harsh reality of wedding planning amid the ongoing cost of living crisis, and it's causing some people to make the decision to elope or cut back and in some cases even postpone their wedding until a time when they feel, I don't know, more confident about their financial situation.According to the results of the 2026 EasyWedding Industry Report the average cost now for a venue, a wedding venue is $17,500AUD. For the UK, your venue costs vary very widely by type and location, season inclusions, things like that, but an average for 2026 hovers around 8,000- 11,00£, and that would include your basic catering and packages.According to The Knot and Zola and WeddingWire, the prices you are having to deal with, swing hugely from state to state. You've got New Jersey topping at over $27,000 USD with California at approximately $8-15k.The United States is both the least and most expensive country to book a wedding venue in.But the constant is that in Australia, the UK, the United States, the venue cost frequently takes up the lion's share of the whole budget, as in the largest percentage slice of whatever budget a couple is working with. And in my mind, that means that there are opportunities to make choices, compromises, and smart swaps.Stick around to find out what these four levers are that you can adjust on your wedding venue. To help you either redistribute your wedding budget, go on a dream honeymoon, or slash your costs to save for another day. For 15 years, Lainey Wilson chased a dream that didn’t seem to want her back. She was rejected. Overlooked. Living in a camper trailer in Nashville while the industry moved on without her. Now she’s one of country music’s biggest stars. In this episode of No Filter, Lainey reflects on the decade-and-a-half grind behind her so-called “overnight success” from auditioning for Idol and The Voice, to impersonating Hannah Montana for five years, to going viral in a way she never expected. She talks about faith, exhaustion, ambition, meeting Miley Cyrus after years of portraying her on stage, and the advice from Keith Urban that reframed everything. You can find Lainey’s latest music, tour dates and more at laineywilson.com. Strap in, friends! Today’s episode is a wild ride! We’ve got science experiments, buffet serums and a rant about toxic beauty misinformation… Leigh Campbell and Kelly McCarren are answering your burning questions, from smudgeproof mascaras to suit every budget and tried-and-tested recommendations for "everything" serums to streamline your routine. But first, beauty news correspondents Mollie and Cass ask the question… are we being gaslit by our hairdressers? New hair-related news suggests the old ‘trimming your hair to help it grow faster’ advice is actually a myth. Plus, we unpack the ‘Aussie Girl Glam’ aesthetic trending on TikTok, and why it’s actually a lie (or at least, not as effortless as Americans might think!). Leigh and Kelly explain why you need a specific type of mascara to avoid panda-eye smudging, and share a comprehensive list of the best affordable mascaras. They also answer a listener's question about ‘everything’ serums and whether you can get away with using one serum morning and night in your routine. The answer is yes… and no. Finally, Kelly has a bone to pick with a particular beauty app and the spreading of misinformation, while Leigh shares the results of a beauty science experiment involving leftover skincare and her scalp. Leigh and Kelly are back with some top-tier product recommendations, from Leigh’s ultimate lipstick for people who hate lipstick, to Kelly McCarren in a bottle (it’ll make sense once you’ve listened!). On today’s episode of Spendy Savey, the team shares their best skincare, makeup, hair, body and fragrance recommendations. Leigh’s Spendy is a smudgey, foolproof matte lipstick that feels like you’re wearing nothing – no lip liner required! She also recommends not one, but two glowy skin products for face and body that cost $25 (or less). Spoiler: The first is a viral chemist-brand bargain that resembles the iconic (and exxy) Hourglass powders, and the second is a body oil that looks like a hand sanitizer and feels like lube, but leaves body skin glowy and hydrating. Meanwhile, Kelly shares the most expensive makeup brush she’s ever recommended, but it’s fine, because it’s actually two brushes for the price of one. Plus, meet the lighter, more refreshing version of Kelly’s all-time favourite fragrance, and the new Tarte lip products Leigh lost her mind over. EVERYTHING MENTIONED: SPENDY Leigh: Merit Signature Lip Blush in Gamay, $44. Kelly: Hourglass Veil™ Powder Brush, $114. SAVEY Leigh: Vaseline Intensive Care Cocoa Radiant Revitalizing Body Oil, $14. Kelly: Elizabeth Arden Green Tea Scent Spray, $41, and Elizabeth Arden Green Tea Fine Fragrance Mist, $10. NEWBIE: Leigh: Covergirl TruBlend Skin Enhancer Baked Luminous Bronzer, $24.95, and Covergirl TruBlend Skin Enhancer Baked Luminous Blush, $24.95. Kelly: Tarte Maracuja Juicy Lip Plump Liner With Charm (Limited Edition), $46, and Tarte Maracuja Juicy Lip Gloss With Charm (Limited Edition), $46. In June 2016, Karen Ristevski vanished from her home. Her husband, Borce, told their daughter she had gone for a walk and never returned. For months, police and family searched in vain. Then, in February 2017, hikers stumbled upon her skeletal remains in a quiet nature reserve. Police pieced together CCTV footage and phone records, leading to Borce’s arrest. He pleaded guilty to manslaughter in 2019, after prosecutors were unable to prove intent. Now, 7NEWS Investigations Editor Alison Sandy is digging deeper, not just into Karen’s case, but into a disturbing pattern: women whose deaths could have been prevented or discovered earlier, had the warning signs of escalating intimate partner violence been recognised sooner. Is it really possible to have an “acidic vagina” from taking too many probiotics? Why are we often sold a “Barbie doll” version of what our anatomy “should” look like? And, how do you actually start exercising as a self-proclaimed “lazy girl”? In this episode, Claire and Dr Mariam speak to Dr Mandy Hagstrom, an accredited exercise scientist and Associate Professor at UNSW, to find out how to get the biggest bang for your buck when it comes to exercise. They discuss the “weekend warrior” approach, why women might need less exercise than men to see the same longevity benefits and they explore cardio vs weight training. They also talk about why your exercise timing doesn't actually matter, debunking the social media myth that fasted morning workouts are the magic pill for fat loss. Plus, in Med School, we dive into the world of "spicy" vaginas. We look at the viral claim of "acidic vagina" syndrome, whether you can actually overdose on probiotics and why your lady parts are essentially a self-cleaning oven that doesn't need micromanaging. And, in our Quick Consult, Dr Mariam answers Amelia’s question about whether it’s normal for her vulva to be wrinkly or discoloured. We strip away the expectations and celebrate the "50 shades of beige, pink and purple" that make up real, healthy anatomy. Forget everything you think you know about island life. When model and content creator Lyndl Kean signed up for the upcoming season of Australian Survivor Redemption, she knew it would be tough—but she probably didn't imagine she’d be trading her skincare for bits of sharpened bamboo and pipi shells. In today's episode of The Formula, Lyndl joins Kelly to peel back the curtain on the "beauty" reality of the island. What happens when you're not just climbing the ladder, but standing at the very top? For Lize Ratliff, that meant achieving her dream job as Head of Podcasts at Mamamia, after 10 years hustling to get there. Lize’s journey is a masterclass in pure tenacity. She started at 19 as an intern from a small country town, so determined to work for Mia Freedman that she "literally didn't leave”. Over the next decade, she climbed the ladder through nine different titles - from intern to Mia's EA, to the first-ever producer of No Filter - eventually becoming the woman running the entire 29-show operation. For Lize, the birth of her first child was the catalyst for an enormous change. Realising the demands of the job were incompatible with the life she wanted as a mother, she and her husband came to a terrifying realisation: they needed to ‘blow up their life.’ In a move that left many stunned, they both quit their high-profile Sydney jobs, moved to Newcastle, and Lize enrolled in a Master's degree to pursue a completely new career: As a high school English teacher. This is a raw and candid look at what it means to walk away from the top. We cover the creative job application that got her hired, the moment she crashed her boss's car (and kept her job), and the overwhelming "what have I done?" feeling that hits after you trade a high-prestige career for a student ID. Get ready to learn why sometimes, you have to "just jump.” THE END BITS: Want more from Sarah Davidson? Check out her podcast Seize The Yay. Discover more Mamamia podcasts here. In the 1990s, Rachel Hunter was one of the most recognisable women in the world. A Sports Illustrated cover star and defining face of the supermodel era, she went from a teenager in New Zealand to global fame almost overnight. She later married Rod Stewart, becoming part of one of the decade’s most talked-about love stories. From the outside, it looked like the ultimate 90s fairytale. In this episode of No Filter, Rachel reflects on rising to fame at 17, her whirlwind marriage to Rod Stewart, and what it was really like to live inside that cultural moment. After recently appearing on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!, she speaks candidly about motherhood, public scrutiny, and why the life everyone envied eventually wasn’t enough. This is a conversation about identity, reinvention, and finding yourself beyond the spotlight. We’re all about high-low here at You Beauty. We’ll try and talk about it all, from a life-changing hair tie that’ll set you back 70 cents, to exactly what a $595 vitamin C serum feels like. On today’s episode of Spendy Savey, Kelly McCarren and Amy Clark share their best skincare, makeup, hair, body and fragrance recommendations, including the $19 Korean beauty blush Amy hunted down from TikTok, a retinal serum Kelly wishes she tried earlier, and our first impressions of the new (and very bougie) Augustinus Bader vitamin C serum. Kelly explains how she just casually stumbled across Mecca’s “best-kept secret” AND what she’s calling the world’s best hair ties on a recent IRL shopping trip. And alongside the one Hourglass makeup product everyone should try at least once, Amy’s breaking the rules (again) this week with not one, but three excellent Saveys – her affordable product picks were just too good not to share. It’s February, it’s officially sweltering, and the struggle to stay chic without melting is very real. This week on Nothing To Wear, Chelsea is joined by curve model, content creator, and fashion insider Jessica Lucey to unpack the ultimate guide to heatproof fashion. From the specific silhouettes that promote airflow to the "neutral-adjacent" colours that are taking over the runways (hello, butter yellow!), Jessica shares her expert tips on how to break the fashion "rules". Plus, we’re getting into the nitty-gritty of summer dressing: the best moisture-wicking bras to combat boob sweat, why thongs are officially back, and the $50 sun hat you’ll be wearing every single weekend. Lucinda's Budget: Cotton On Sandy Mini Skirt, $49.99. Tam's Budget: Best & Less Womens Straight Leg Terry Fleece Trackpant, $25. When Michelle Burgess’ young son Leo became unwell while their family was on holiday in Tasmania, it initially seemed like a virus — something that would pass with rest and time. But within days, Leo lost the ability to move his body, was transferred between hospitals across two states, and was eventually placed into an induced coma while doctors tried to understand what was happening. Leo was later diagnosed with GFAP astrocytopathy — an extremely rare autoimmune neurological condition that causes inflammation in the brain and spinal cord. What followed was months in hospital, intensive treatment, and the beginning of a recovery that is still ongoing. In this deeply personal conversation, Michelle takes Kate Langbroek inside the terrifying early days of Leo’s illness — from the moment she realised something was wrong, to the long weeks spent sitting beside his hospital bed in intensive care, unsure whether he would survive. She shares what it means to advocate for your child when there are no clear answers, how she coped with fear and exhaustion, and the extraordinary resilience Leo showed as he slowly began to recover. It’s an experience Kate understands in a profoundly personal way. When her eldest son was a child, he was diagnosed with leukaemia — an illness he survived — and she recognises the unique fear that comes when a parent is forced to watch their child fight for their life. This episode is about motherhood, uncertainty, and the kind of love that refuses to give up — even when the future is impossible to imagine. Michelle and Leo are sharing their story in support of the Starlight Super Swim which aims to raise $4.3 million to bring happiness to more than 110,000 sick kids in hospital. In October 1976, 16-year-old Trenny Gibson boarded a school bus in Knoxville, Tennessee, expecting a routine day. Instead, her horticulture class was taken on a rainy hike into the Great Smoky Mountains National Park without warning. Unprepared and uneasy, Trenny borrowed a jacket from a fellow student. By mid-afternoon, she was gone. One moment she was on the trail, the next she had vanished. Nearly 50 years later, her disappearance remains unsolved. Questions linger about suspicious behaviour, missing evidence, and why the case quietly faded from view. In this episode, we speak with podcast hosts Tim Pilleri and Lance Reenstierna about their investigation into the haunting mystery of Trenny Gibson. You can listen to Tim and Lance's podcast Missing, here and watch their YouTube videos here.
