[Original airdate 1/11/24] Mary Danielsen talks to Tom McMahon of The Berean Call about the coming strong delusion and how the church has gotten so far from reason and apologetics as to become a church based on feelings and doing what seems right. Beyond the itching ear syndrome and seeker-friendly paradigms, we will look at how crafting worship and messages around illiciting an emotional reaction is now the norm. From Bethel to political correctness and social justice, the emotion based church has taken us far afield from being able to reason about what we believe - the what AND the why. Food for thought and sound reasoning as usual from The Berean Call. Since the late 1980s, the late Dave Hunt and TA have faithfully contended for the faith once delivered to the saints.

It ain't easy being the youngest getting pieced up by everyone?Uncle Kwamz is also looking for a good woman, the last one left him, shout him if you're a church goer, he might be the one for you.WE'VE BEEN NOMINATED FOR A MOBO AWARD, YOU CAN VOTE FOR US HERE - https://voting.mobo.com/categories/media-personalityThe podcast is powered by JBL - Click here - https://bit.ly/3VL2khF and use code 90SBABY for 15% off all JBL products.Water2 - https://water2.com/90SBABY15 use code 90SBABY15 at checkoutJoin this channel to get access to perks:https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCOIOo7ybnNFNdwjSCgYDtOw/joinCheck out our Amazon Storefront - https://www.amazon.co.uk/shop/90sbabyshow/list/CA7MV366T30L?ref_=cm_sw_r_cp_ud_aipsflist_CJP85NJ95R280Z6C6NMZPO Box 5038 HORNCHURCH RM12 9JXDISCOUNT CODE: 90SBABYSHOWFinancial Joy Academy (ANNUAL membership 20% off): https://checkout.financialjoyacademy.com/financial-joy-academy-yearly-member-2021/?coupon=90SBABYSHOWFinancial Joy Academy (MONTHLY membership 20% off): https://checkout.financialjoyacademy.com/financial-joy-academy-monthly-member-21/?coupon=90SBABYSHOW Hosted on Acast. [00:01:01] so we're going to hear the rest of his story. It's going to get, uh, worse before it gets better. You're just not going to believe, what he's doing now as a pastor. Please go back to part one [00:01:16] if you have not listened to that, you will miss a lot of, background of his story. We had a lot of fun on this conversation.
In this sermon, Pastor Joe teaches us that a good church is one where everyone works, imitates faithful examples, and experiences grace and peace. Work is seen as worship and service, not just survival. A thriving church fosters active contribution, shared growth, and love, becoming a place where God's grace flows and peace prevails, even in life's storms.
Every Christian family must be part of a church, and healthy families are part of what make healthy churches. But the church member who has been part of a body for 30 or 40 years is increasingly rare in our day. What is it to be a good church member? What contributes to the longevity of both churches and members? How should we view the church and those within its walls? Kevin Swanson, Scott Brown, and Pastor Andre discuss these and other questions on this edition of the program. This program includes: 1. The World View in 5 Minutes with Adam McManus (Matt Gaetz withdraws, Biden secretly awards Planned Parenthood leader, Anti-Christian hate crimes in Turkey have doubled) 2. Generations with Kevin Swanson

In this sermon, Pastor Zach explores how a good church has both effective preaching and a congregation living out the call of scripture. This kind of church witnesses personal growth, invites others to share in that goodness, and sees Jesus move in their community.

In this episode, Dr. David provides some guidelines on how to select team members for your church's safety ministry. This is not the kind of team that just any one can serve on. It takes the right kind of personality, the right kind of character, and the right skill set to be a good protector. We can train skill set. The others can be developed over time. In this interview, Reverend Kathy Albee, the CEO and founder of 'Released to Reign', expounds on the relevance of the Bible in today's world and the essence of Christianity. Reverend Kathy strongly emphasizes that the Bible is not merely a guide for a good life, but is for the children of God seeking to understand His plan and purpose for their lives. The interview also probes into issues such as the Prosperity Gospel or 'fire insurance' mindset and urges Christians to base their faith and identity in God's love rather than their works. Kathy also elucidates her organization's mission to help Christians grasp their inherited rights as children of God and free themselves from negative mentalities. Moreover, she points out the importance of humility, love, acceptance, security, and significance which manifest through faith.Contact Kathy:Phone: 989-415-9329Email: albee.kathleen@yahoo.comShow Notes00:00 Introduction: The Relevance of the Bible00:21 Meet the Guest: Reverend Kathy Albee01:28 Understanding 'Released to Reign'03:23 The Journey to Spiritual Transformation05:06 Religion vs Relationship: A Deeper Insight08:13 The Power of Love and Humility in Christianity14:45 The Bible's Relevance in the Modern World17:28 The Journey of Jews in Egypt17:28 The Significance of Ten Commandments17:42 The Modern Relevance of the Bible18:31 The Pitfalls of the Prosperity Gospel19:55 Personal Experiences and the Power of Faith21:27 The True Gospel and Overcoming the World22:32 Finding a Good Church and Understanding Doctrine25:34 The Five Major Needs of Every Human Being29:03 Reaching Out and Making a Difference
One of the more common buzz phrases I'm encountering on the Internet is the term “church hurt.” The problem, as with many popular phrases, is the true meaning of “church hurt” is hard to nail down, meaning anything from true abuse of power and spiritual neglect to a rightful accountability check of sin. Not only that, but since we are called to look not only to our own needs but also to the needs of others (Phil. 2:4), the intensely personal narrative surrounding church hurt often becomes more about the person who experienced (real or perceived) injury than it is about the God who heals every sorrow and is so near the brokenhearted. To further complicate issues, many in the church hurt movement seem determined to lump the entire entity of “church” in with what they deem a broken system, rotten to its core. And so, we must examine all of these claims in the light of Scripture. Is all church hurt equal? Should every claim be taken at face value? Is there still such a thing as a healthy church? We address all of these questions (and more) in light of Scripture in today's episode.
