In this episode, Cheryl discussed: Focusing on your own race Pacing yourself and taking one step at a time Move forward and do your best Enjoying the journey Key Takeaways: Comparison is truly the thief of joy. Focus on your race, your life. Don't be conscious about how much faster others are going. Strive to grow and lean on your own unique strengths. Pacing yourself is an important part of life. It's better to take one small step in the right direction than to bombard yourself with a thousand new ideas or new goals that will paralyze you with indecision. There is only one you and all you can do is do your best. You can't change the past, you can only let it go. Keep moving forward and do your best. Practice healthy self-talk and visualization, reward yourself for achieving your goals, and most of all, enjoy the journey. “One small sweet step builds momentum, and 1000 small goals and 1000 big goals is not going to move you off the couch.” — Cheryl Knowlton Get in Touch with Cheryl: Website: www.cherylknows.com YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCwvWKXBC6fKn1dLGY11hxIg Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/dynamiteproductionsinc LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/cherylknowlton/ Show notes by Podcastologist: Justine Talla Audio production by Turnkey Podcast Productions. On today's episode Meek discusses the upcoming Mother's Day and offer nice gift suggestions for the special mothers or female caretakers in the lives of others. Checkout the website: www.blog.dsmtool.com for the gifts I suggested in this episode. The 90s are back! Well sort of. There are 2 new singles blowing up the chart: Lucky Daye's single "Over" samples Musiq Soulchild chart topper hit "Half Crazy" which actually was released in 2002 but still has the 90s vibe. Megan thee Stallion's new single 'Plan B' samples Jodeci and Wu-Tang remixed song "Freak n You" April Fools! No foolery in this episode, except the IKYFL segment on Blac Chyna and Rob Kardashian court case. Meek breaks down the what, why and how this court case came to be and why she thinks it is some poo-poo. Finally, Meek struggles at the end of this episode with the perils of her recent Dr. Fung fast she is currently participating in. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/fits2at/message

FeedBack w. Wes Nyle. EP16. Jukebox The Ghost. 06.22.12One year shy of a decade as a band, Ben Thornewill, Tom Siegel, and Jesse Kristin, should revel in the idea that only a few young bands have become as successful in such a short time.Meeting in 2003 while attending George Washington University, this group would change styles and names only once, landing and sticking on the Captain Beefheart lyrically inspired name of Jukebox the Ghost.Only a few years later the group would be touring with piano powerhouse Ben Folds, and by 2009 would be creating their 2nd release Everything Under the Sun and later would be headlining their own concerts.Their latest album Safe Travels exposes maturity from a band that started when the average age of this three piece was 19 and a half. Hitting on topics of major life changes; good and bad, the lyrics of this June 12th release, hold nostalgic with dark lyrical undertones, breaded with falsettos, and pop piano/ guitar techniques that advances the band musically without accusations of selling out.Right now for the low price of your Email address you can download the bands new single Oh Emily, directly from their website. And for any skeptics here is yet another amazing piece of art from a band that shows no signs of slowing down their awesomeness. This is Jukebox The Ghost.Tracks Heard In This Podcast:Hold It InUnder My SkinHalf CrazySomebodyOh Emily - Close
