Episode 17, “Knob Job,” is packed with the usual rimfire nonsense, questionable maturity, and enough gear talk to make your wallet nervous. We dig into listener topics like the S&W 422/622, weird and wonderful Discord finds, suppressor hosts, 3D-printed TX22 chassis, the Woox Elegante, and whatever Dayle keeps sending us to make us feel poor. Dan gets his Hammerli back from Walther, ARDREW shows off a very green Franklin Armory F-17X, Dusky brings competition stories and Beretta energy, and Gat-Lab prepares to run questionable guns in questionable ways. We also take the mandatory centerfire detour with tiny pistols, AR FRT laughs, gun-store mistakes, Mock 18 problems, and ARDREW's new IWI Jericho.

This week, Dustin, Bruce, and Matt are back with another episode of Beer Belly Sports… and honestly, there wasn't a ton happening in Minnesota sports, but that has never stopped us before. ⚾ The Minnesota Twins are doing… okay. Not great. Not terrible. Just kind of existing in that weird Twins space where you're not quite sure how to feel about them.

In this chilling episode of *222 Paranormal Podcast*, Joe and Jennifer take listeners deep into the haunted wilderness of Ohio's largest state park, where stories of towering creatures, eerie vocalizations, unexplained hauntings, and ancient history collide. The episode begins with the mysterious origins of Salt Fork itself. Long before it became a state park, the land was used by Native American tribes for its valuable natural salt deposits. The region was frequented by the Shawnee, Delaware, and other Eastern Woodland peoples who understood the importance — and perhaps the power — of the land. Joe and Jennifer explore the possibility that the strange activity reported there today may be connected to something much older than the park itself. From there, the investigation turns toward the phenomenon that made Salt Fork famous: Bigfoot. For decades, witnesses have reported sightings of large upright creatures moving through the forests surrounding Morgan's Knob, Bigfoot Ridge, and remote areas of the park. The hosts dive into documented encounters dating back to the 1980s and discuss the terrifying reports of massive footprints, glowing eyes, strange odors, and the unsettling feeling of being watched deep in the woods. One of the most chilling parts of the episode centers around the infamous "whoop" vocalizations often associated with Bigfoot encounters. Joe and Jennifer break down reports of strange calls echoing across valleys late at night, along with eerie Sierra Sounds–style chatter that some researchers believe could represent a form of communication. A cinematic retelling of a late-night campsite encounter places listeners directly beside the fire as something unseen circles just beyond the tree line. But the woods are not the only source of fear at Salt Fork. The episode also investigates the hauntings connected to the historic Kennedy Stone House, a restored 1837 stone home hidden deep within the park. Visitors and workers alike have reported strange footsteps, feelings of being watched, unexplained movement inside the house, and an overwhelming sense that something still lingers there. Joe and Jennifer conduct a fictionalized cinematic night investigation at the Stone House, where unsettling sounds inside the building seem to coincide with mysterious calls coming from the surrounding woods. The hosts also explore reports of activity inside the Salt Fork Lodge itself, including stories from staff and guests involving phantom footsteps, lights turning on by themselves, and rooms that seem to change when no one is there. As the night grows darker, the lines between haunting and cryptid encounter begin to blur. Are these separate phenomena… or connected manifestations tied to the land itself? This episode blends real history, paranormal lore, cinematic storytelling, and investigative discussion into one immersive journey into one of the Midwest's strangest locations. If you've ever wondered what might still be hiding in the forests of Ohio… this episode may make you think twice before walking into the woods alone. Jerry AKA Caser Rebel is back with a chilling look at the 1978–1979 encounters around Kaser, North Carolina, near the South Mountains and Carpenter's Knob. Witnesses including Minnie Cook, Sally White, the Price family, and Gay Smith reported a large black, hairy, humanlike figure prowling properties, killing animals, leaving tracks, and unleashing terrifying howls, screams, and strange yodeling wails.Drawing from reports documented by Robert Williams, who helped popularize the name “Knobby,” Jerry explores the possibility that more than one threat was involved, including an oversized black panther and a third track type he believes may point to a Dogman. The episode also dives into the fear of feral people in Appalachia, with accounts of eerie communication, violent encounters, a destroyed 1978 campsite, and a 2021 cave investigation that revealed a barefoot human track and signs of repeated human activity.Rebel's Dark Tales of Appalachia YouTubeEmail BrianGet Our FREE NewsletterGet Brian's Books Leave Us A VoicemailVisit Our WebsiteBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/sasquatch-odyssey--4839697/support.Have you had a Bigfoot encounter, Sasquatch sighting, Dogman experience, or other cryptid or paranormal encounter? Tess reports from the field in Punxsutawney, PA on Groundhog Day. This is more than just a fake holiday. It's a singular, surreal experience. Tess gets to the bottom of this absurd celebration and learns why people travel far and wide to celebrate it. She delves into the philosophy of the movie, and how the film's themes relate to the real-life events that transpire every year on Gobbler's Knob. In today's episode of Backpacker Radio presented by The Trek, brought to you by Topo Athletic, in honor of Valentine's Day, we are once again putting love front and center-stage. We're joined by Annie and Jake, known on trail as Pistol and Lobo, who met at mile 166 of the Appalachian Trail in 2021 and are about to come full circle, getting married at Fontana Dam, the exact spot where they first met. We get the low down on how this romance was absolutely love at first sight, how and where things evolved from flirtation to romance to a full-blown committed relationship on trail, moving into a school bus post-trail, their attempt at recreating the magic on the PCT a few years later (spoiler alert: it was less magical), and tips to aspiring romantic hiker trash on how to find and sustain love on trail. We wrap the show with which pieces of gear a Trek Writer with more than 10,000 miles has eliminated from her pack, our internal dialogue while eating ice cream (and why maybe I have a problem), my ENEMY of the week (fitness influencer edition), and the triple crown of relationship hacks. The Ghost Furnace - Episode 145 "Groundhog Day" "...Now on this February 2nd, Punxsutawney Phil, the seer of seers, the prognosticator of all prognosticators, was awakened from his wintry nap at dawn on Gobbler's Knob..." Every year in a small Pennsylvania town, thousands of people stand for hours in the predawn cold to catch a glimpse of a 100+ year old groundhog. They are not only kept warm by the ceremonial dancing, the locally brewed beer, the VFW pancakes and the company of a secret order of marmot wranglers. But chiefly by the hope, that this small brown woodchuck will gaze into the either and divine an early spring.
