Well, Friday is here, so that means we are turning our gaze to what's been happening in the world of #MMA It's been said recently, that getting to the UFC is easier, but staying is a lot harder. And that's what Jordan Espinosa and Shana Dobson have experienced. BUT, there's always the chance to return! Over the last few days a lot of ridiculous claims have been made, but Dan Hardy has now clarified his work situation. And although he's Full Reptile, I don't expect him to go extinct Losing is always tough, no one wants to do it, but when it happens you wanna carry yourself in a certain way. Unfortunately a couple of fights from 'UFC 259' haven't. Rogério Bontorin is extremely salty with Herb Dean and thinks he should have an automatic rematch with Kai Kara-France. The other is Petr Yan who has had plenty of words for Aljamain Sterling. But no one seems to be talking about his straight up illegal knee! When it comes to post fight interviews, Dominick Cruz had a memorable one. On a recent podcast with James Lynch he did reveal he'd had talks with Monster about the Hans Molenkamp situation We ponder if we'll be seeing the UFC in Texas??? And there had been a lot of talk, but we now know which card will be next for ABC. PLUS, we take a look at the 'UFC on ESPN+ 45' weigh-in's. There was a scare, but in the end, everyone made weight. Today's (ep 160) @ChinCheckPod breaks it all down, so let's get with it! - 2-4 cant keep Jordan Espinosa and Shana Dobson in the UFC - Dan Hardy clears air - Rogerio Bontorin not happy with Herb Dean! - Petr Yan can't use language as an excuse for his illegal knee - Dominick Cruz updates the Hans Molenkamp situation - Is the UFC going to Texas??? - And the second card on ABC is...... - UFC on ESPN+ 45: Edwards vs. Muhammad - weigh-in's *(Music) 'Satisfaction' by Eve - 2002 --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/eftv/message

As conscientious MMA fans, we have lots of choice words for UFC 259: from the fights, the commentary, the company itself and Dana White, Dominick Cruz's pipe bomb interview, and how combat sports athletes are really combat sports workers. Suspend Petr Yan, fine all of the UFC, and abolish Joe Rogan, Dana White, Ari Emanuel, and Hans Molenkamp. We can't continue to produce important episodes like this one without your solidarity. The ability to market – not just your product, but yourself – is a crucial skillset if you have the desire to be successful. Unfortunately, most men equate “marketing” with simply “selling” then wonder why they lose trust, credibility, and authority with potential customers, partners, and other relationships. But if you want to succeed, you’re going to have to learn to build trust, credibility, and authority with those around you. And, I can think of few men as qualified to talk with us about that than Hans Molenkamp who has worked with brands like Osiris Shoes and Monster Energy, and men like Jocko Willink, Conor McGregor, Daniel Cormier, to name a few. Today we talk about the power of community, being passionate versus fanatical, offering value through creation, and how to brand and market yourself well. Then, fighter-turned-trainer-turned-manager Tiki Ghosn talks about his career arc, Instagram's role in changing how much fighters make and the potential UFC champion he has waiting in the wings (28:15). All of us are building a brand at any given point regardless of if we’re intentional about it or not. Whether you’re trying to convince your kids to do their chores, get that lady to go on a date with you, secure a promotion with your boss, or solicit clients to do business with you, your credibility and influence spell the difference between success and failure. Today I am joined by a man uniquely qualified to discuss this topic as he’s been a major player in Monster’s branding and marketing and eventually working closely with the UFC to sponsor fighters. His name is Hans Molenkamp and in this conversation, we talk about what it means to be influential, how to develop powerful relationships, the power of exploring many different areas of interest, and, ultimately, how to become a brand builder. SHOW HIGHLIGHTS Representing combat sports and athletic teams A marketing gun for hire Monster Energy Drink Transitioning from action sports to MMA Triumph United becomes a global brand What it takes to build a brand Helping others develop their plan The importance of networking Creating synergy Developing content that works Identifying stardom Walking the line of friendship and business Positive mental attitude Overcoming monotony HANS MOLENKAMP Gents, today I am joined by a fascinating individual. I share that with you because everywhere you look, you can see the value in having a powerful team to direct you throughout the course of your life. Yeah, you could go at it alone but why deal with all the turbulence of life if there is someone there to support you, back you up, and light the better path? In this episode, we talk to Hans Molenkamp about how his career started, advice for today's entrepreneur, and everything in between.
From Conor Mcgregor to Nick Swardson. From Jocko Willink to Fedor. From Monster Energy to Triumph United. Who the hell is Hans Molenkamp? I connected with Hans about a year ago and discovered a mutual passion for 'creativity with integrity'. The more we spoke the deeper it got. He’s a modern day ‘renaissance man’ with a love of music, art, and physical movement. We’ve both been grinding for decades and it's amazing to me that our paths only crossed recently. But I’m sure glad they did. Hans inspires me & considering my optempo, that says a lot. During this podcast I found myself simply listening and absorbing, Hans’ story is pretty amazing, from his background in the skate/surf community to his beginning’s with BJJ & MMA and how he built his relationships and brand. He’s been behind the scenes for almost all of it. But more importantly, he has a legitimate philosophy about life and is willing to share it. Sit back and meet Hans Molenkamp. Follow Hans on IG
