On today's episode of UFC Unfiltered, Jim and Matt are joined by third-ranked UFC welterweight contender Belal Muhammad as a guest co-host. After opening the show with the keys to his current winning streak, Belal explains why he's a more well-rounded fighter than Colby Covington. As the guys shift gears towards their takeaways from UFC Fight Night: Holm vs. Bueno Silva, Belal explains why he was unimpressed with the fight IQ that Jack Della Maddalena put on display against welterweight Bassil Hafez in Saturday's co-main event. Belal then issues his stance on Stipe Miocic's inactivity going into a generational heavyweight title clash against newly-crowned champion Jon Jones before the guys wrap things up with their final takeaways from Saturday's main event between women's bantamweights Mayra Bueno Silva and Holly Holm.

Jim Norton takes part in the Serra-Longo Fight Team's victory Monday as today's episode of UFC Unfiltered calls upon bantamweight champion Aljamain Sterling for nearly 20 minutes alongside Matt Serra and guest co-host Ray Longo. As the guys dive straight into Sterling's UFC 288 win over former bantamweight king Henry Cejudo, Aljo discusses the mid-fight adjustments that were necessary to stave off the former Olympic gold medalist's valiant effort during last Saturday night's PPV headliner in New Jersey. Sterling then dishes his thoughts on Sean O'Malley hopping into the cage immediately after his win as Ray Longo cracks up thinking about how Aljo's good friend and sparring partner Merab Dvalishvili stole the show by climbing up the cage wearing O'Malley's bright red jacket. Speaking of the Serra-Longo Fight Team, Matt and Ray sing lightweight Matt Frevola's praises after the “Steamrolla” successfully detonated his third straight 1st-round KO with a beautifully-placed punch that earned him a $50,000 post-fight bonus and a callout acceptance from Paddy “The Baddy” Pimblett. The guys wrap up the show with the rest of their thoughts on the UFC 288 card and some analysis on how Henry Cejudo stacks up in a potential fight with Merab Dvalishvili.
You know how some fight cards that look pretty "meh" on paper turn out to be unexpectedly great? Yeah, UFC 288 wasn't really one of those. Headlined by an important but perhaps not best-selling men's bantamweight title fight between Aljamain Sterling and Henry Cejudo, this one didn't really appear to live up to the high standards set by some of the UFC's other PPVs this year. There was nothing wrong with Sterling's unanimous decision win over Cejudo and there was nothing wrong with Belal Muhammad's UD over Gilbert Burns. But this card didn't blow our hair back and these wins probably aren't going to get Sterling and Muhammad the respect they deserve. Speaking of not getting the respect he deserves, Demetrious Johnson looked as good as ever in (yet another kinda nondescript) unanimous decision win over Adriano Moraes in One Championship. Johnson took the trilogy and was Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Aljamain Sterling made history on Saturday by becoming the first UFC bantamweight champion to defend their title three consecutive times in the main event of UFC 288, and spoiled the long-awaited return of former two-division champion Henry Cejudo in the process during the UFC's return to Newark, N.J. While Aljamain Sterling will likely have his next UFC bantamweight title defense this summer — at least, according to Dana White — following his UFC 288 main event win, where does Henry Cejudo go after falling short in his comeback bid? Was that the final fight for the storied career of "Triple C"? On an all-new edition of On To the Next One, MMA Fighting's Mike Heck and Alexander K. Lee attempt to answer that question. And if Cejudo were to stick around, what would be the matchup to make? Additionally, future matchups are discussed for Belal Muhammad after his dominant decision victory in the co-main event, Gilbert Burns after being on the wrong end of the scorecards, Yan Xiaonan following her incredible finish of Jessica Andrade, along with Movsar Evloev, Charles Jourdain, and more. It's another UFC pay-per-view weekend and so you know what that means: the No Bets Barred boys are back to break down all their favorite plays for UFC 288 and the bantamweight title fight between Aljamain Sterling and Henry Cejudo. Co-hosts Conner Burks and Jed Meshew begin the show with a brief recap of UFC Vegas 72, lamenting a dreadful flyweight under loss, before diving into the 14-fight card that is UFC 288. The biggest topic of conversation is the title fight and Henry Cejudo's chances at overcoming a jarring statistical trend, but the boys also get into the five-round co-main event between Belal Muhammad and Gilbert Burns, the return of Kron Gracie, and of course, a heavyweight over and a flyweight under. With UFC 288 just days away, reigning bantamweight champion Aljamain Sterling and co-main event fighters Gilbert Burns and Belal Muhammad join The Fighter vs. The Writer. Sterling will address his upcoming fight against Henry Cejudo while revealing that he is “very likely” done at bantamweight with two more fights as he plans to move up to 145 pounds with hopes that his friend and teammate Merab Dvalishvili will get a shot at the bantamweight title once he's gone. Meanwhile, Burns and Muhammad will document how they ended up in the co-main event on less than two weeks' notice after UFC 288 lost the fight between Beneil Dariush and Charles Oliveira. Burns details his decision to fight again after just recently stating that he was only interested in a title shot for his next bout while Muhammad talks Colby Covington and his hope to earn his own opportunity to compete for UFC gold with a win on Saturday. With Matt Serra flying back from London during the taping of today's UFC Unfiltered episode, welterweight Michael Chiesa steps in alongside Jim Norton as today's co-host. After beginning the show with an update on his physical health after a lengthy layoff, Chiesa follows up with his desired plans for what's next in the cage following the cancellation of his return fight against Li Jingliang due to his opponent's injury. After a brief chat about Saturday's UFC Fight Night: Song vs. Simon card, Jim shifts the topic towards Saturday's UFC 288 card, Chiesa provides his detailed opinion on what's in store for former two-division champion Henry Cejudo as he makes his return to a stacked bantamweight division against champion Aljamain Sterling. As Chiesa wraps up his thoughts on the main event with a prediction for the fight, the guys wrap up the show by unpacking the circumstances surrounding the short-notice co-main event between welterweight contenders Belal Muhammad and Gilbert Burns.
It sounds like the people have decided: Mike Perry vs. Luke Rockhold at BKFC 42 is the fight of the weekend. The UFC veterans have engaged in some truly hilarious shenanigans in the lead-up to their bare-knuckle battle and all that's left to see is if this freak show fight turns out as freaky as advertised. That's a fitting discussion for this Free-For-All-Friday edition of Heck of a Morning with guest host Alexander K. Lee, who answers questions not only about BKFC 42 and UFC Vegas 72, but a slew of random topics including how the remainder of the NBA Playoffs is likely to play out (and who you'll see in the Finals), adventures in vegetarian cooking, and the brilliance of Paul Thomas Anderson, as well as fighting business like whether a Gilbert Burns vs. Belal Muhammad stinker will remove both men from the UFC welterweight title picture, what pair of friends do we wish we'd seen meet inside the cage, and more.
