In Part 2 of this conversation, I continue my discussion with Pastor Rich Tidwell as we go even deeper into the topic of Christian Zionism and what it truly means to think biblically in a VERY politically charged world.Building on Part 1, we further examine the theological arguments surrounding Israel, challenge commonly held assumptions, and reinforce the biblical truth that no nation (past or present) is above God's standard of righteousness. We also discuss the danger of allowing political alliances or emotional ties to override clear scriptural teaching. This episode pushes the conversation further, calling Christians to spiritual consistency: to stand for truth, reject erroneous partiality, and remain rooted in God's Word above all else. Our ultimate allegiance is not to any earthly nation, but to the Kingdom of God.If you're seeking clarity, conviction, and a deeper understanding of how to navigate these complex issues faithfully, this is a conversation you won't want to miss.--Follow Pastor Tidwell on X: https://x.com/richtidwell--https://www.youversion.com/bible-app
In Part 1 of this two-part conversation, I sit down with Pastor Rich Tidwell to examine the widely discussed topic of Christian Zionism and what Scripture actually calls Christians to believe and practice.Should believers automatically support everything Israel does, or are we called to something deeper and more discerning? Together, we break down the foundation often used to justify unconditional support and biblically challenge the idea that any nation or people group is exempt from God's standard of righteousness. This episode is a call back to consistency in the Christian life where truth is not based on politics, emotions, or alliances, but on God's Word alone. If you've ever questioned how to faithfully navigate modern geopolitical issues as a Christian, this conversation will help ground you in a more biblically sound perspective.Stay tuned for Part 2, where we continue digging even deeper into this very important discussion.--Follow Pastor Tidwell on X: https://x.com/richtidwell--https://www.youversion.com/bible-app
Josh Stalnaker | Jan 18 2026 “Who's in charge here?” That's a question we might ask in all sorts of areas of life. But it's also a question we should each ask of our lives as a whole. God's word is meant to be the final authority in our lives—He alone has the right to say what is true, good, and right. Since the very beginning we've struggled with trusting God's authority and we are prone to live in all sorts of ways that undermine His authority, But the truth is, God's Word is final because He is God. But He is also good. And so His authoritative word is always good for us. Like a loving Father who sets boundaries to keep His children safe, God's commands are meant to help us thrive—not to harm or hurt us. Living under God's Word brings life and flourishing but denying it or ignoring it leads to destruction and death. And God's Word isn't just advice we can choose to follow or ignore—it's an authoritative word that demands a response. We are invited to trust it fully, believe all it teaches, and obey all it requires, knowing that His Word is for our good.

This year I'm celebrating 75 years in ministry. But I am not stopping. I don't believe in retiring, but ‘refiring' – I am always seeking a new Fire from God. We all need a renewed fire, but an ‘old-time' revival, we need a new power, but the ‘real' God. Will you be the one whom He will call again, through the fire of the Holy Spirit? Yet God promised in His Word, that He would pour out His Spirit on all flesh (Joel 2:28; Acts 2:17) – not just the light showers of the first Pentecost, but the heavy rain that brings in the last abundant harvest of souls (Joel 2:23-24) before the ‘great and terrible day of the Lord shall come' (Joel 2:31; Acts 2:20).
We should live as the early Apostles did: preach the Gospel, heal the sick. We are still writing the Acts of the Apostles today. People are distressed; there are earthquakes, changes in weather patterns, and wars; but these were all predicted by Jesus in Matthew 24. I am more concerned about preaching the Gospel and seeing people saved. This year, 2025, I'm celebrating 75 years in ministry. But I am not stopping. I don't believe in retiring, but ‘refiring' – I am always seeking a new Fire from God. We all need a renewed fire, but an ‘old-time' revival, we need a new power, but the ‘real' God. In today's episode David begins teaching on the Authority, Truth and Accuracy of the Bible: 'All my life I have believed in the Authority, Truth and Accuracy of the Bible. As a boy I learnt from my father, who was the General Superintendent of the Elim Churches, that 'All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works,'' (2 Timothy 3:16-17, KJV).
This is message 26 in the Isaiah series. Isaiah 26:1-21 God promises perfect peace to those who trust in Him. His people are secured by His salvation, guarded by His truth, and strengthened by His everlasting power. As they wait upon Him, He keeps them in peace—both now and in His coming kingdom. This is message 23 in the Seven Churches of Revelation. Revelation 3:14-22 Since the 1900s, churches have shifted from vibrant revival to lukewarm, apathetic Christianity, as reflected in Revelation 3:14-22. Fundamentalism emphasized core doctrines to counteract Modernism, which introduced skepticism and reinterpretation of Scripture. New Evangelicalism sought broader engagement but often compromised on key doctrines. Internal issues like personality-driven ministries and critical spirits further weakened the church's witness, blending worldly values with Christian beliefs and resulting in a lukewarm spiritual state similar to the church of Laodicea. There is a connection between authority and trust. The more we understand why Scripture is trustworthy, the more readily we can recognize its authority in our lives.
For some time we have made it our practice for the last or the first sermon of the year to be connected to the doctrine of scripture. Along with being an opportunity to reinforce and strengthen understanding of the Bible this sermon is used to encourage daily Bible reading in the new year. With the last Sunday of 2023 being New Year's Eve day, this sermon on the authority of the Bible will have us ending this year and beginning next year with the Word of God.
Isn't the Bible simply a human book created by human authors? Hasn't history and science proven the Bible to be a collection of myths and legends? Can I really take the Bible stories literally? Listen as Pat answers many of these questions and presents the case for the divine inspiration and authority of the Bible.

Acts 17:1-3 — This is a time when all kinds of teachings are propagated. How can Christians safeguard themselves from the ever-present danger of being carried away into error or heresy? In this sermon on Acts 17:1–3, Dr. Martyn Lloyd-Jones presents the answer: Christians must be clear on the authority of Scripture. The tendency in modern times is to divorce Jesus Christ from the Scriptures, choosing to accept Him and some of His teachings while rejecting the historicity and validity of the rest of the Bible. The problem with this thinking is two-fold: Jesus Himself accepted the whole of the Old Testament and appointed His apostles to write the New Testament; and one can't be sure that knowledge of Jesus is true and accurate if there is not belief in the Scriptures. Dr. Lloyd-Jones encourages the listener to: 1) start with the whole of Scripture and not simply the particulars; 2) realize that acceptance of Scripture's authority is not a matter of argument, but rather a matter of faith given by the Holy Spirit; and 3) focus on asserting the authority of Scripture more than defending it. The listener is encouraged to be certain of the authority of Scripture, so as not to be carried away by every wind of doctrine.
A @Christadelphians Video: Description: While the Great Persecution was tragic in its effect on the believers, it brought the blessing that the gospel message was spread further into the world. The Jerusalem Council resulted in a spirit of reconciliation between all parties, as the apostles sought to unite both Jewish and Gentile believers in Christ. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/christadelphians-talk/message

In this week's conversation between Dr. James Emery White and co-host Alexis Drye, they explore two American-born religions, both started in the 1800s. Using similar language as Christians but under different names, they have left a lot of Christians wondering what, exactly, they are. In this episode, you'll learn a bit about their history and some compelling evidence to help you determine whether they are Christian, cult or counterfeit. Episode Links For a deeper dive into understanding what separates Christianity from the religions of the world, you may find of interest a series delivered by Dr. White at Mecklenburg Community Church called “So What's the Difference?” The topic of salvation by faith vs. salvation by works was discussed throughout this episode, particularly how they both relate to grace. You may also want to explore a series called “Getting Grace Right” that really helps shed light on the importance of the true meaning of grace. Both Mormons and Jehovah's Witnesses challenge the Bible's authority. Check out Dr. White's blog “Does It Matter Which Bible We Use?” to understand the various translations of the Bible.
