Send us Fan MailWe spend so much time looking for the big moments in love...The proposal. The wedding. The grand gesture. The expensive gift. But if we're honest? The best parts of love are usually the smallest.Because real love isn't built in one extraordinary moment. It's built in a thousand ordinary ones. And one day, when you look back on the people who loved you well, you probably won't remember every gift they gave you. You'll remember how they made you feel.Seen.Known.Considered.Cherished.Maybe the best parts of love were never supposed to be the loudest.Maybe they were always the smallest.Support the show
God owns everything. He created everything and owns it all. But there are some things that God cherishes above others. Our Mishnah describes five cherished possessions of God. These five are uniquely beloved by Him. They are what He “acquired.” – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – […]
In April 1989, four members of the Pelley family were brutally murdered inside their Indiana church parsonage just hours before prom. Investigators quickly focused on 17-year-old Jeff Pelley, but the case against him was entirely circumstantial and filled with lingering questions. Over the decades, the murders have sparked debate, allegations of tunnel vision, alternate theories, and claims of wrongful conviction. In this two-part episode, we examine the complicated dynamics inside the blended Pelley family, the timeline prosecutors built their case around, the evidence both for and against Jeff, and the questions that still surround the murders more than 35 years later.Listen to part 2 nowToday's snacks: BBQ chips from Lay's, Better Made and Busch'sSources:Smith, Carlton. The New Orleans #Saints clearly have a strategy to get younger, and they're very unapologetic about it. Listen to today's podcast... I am missing my family reunion. Living so far away means that it is tough to make it to this family function. I have some wonderful memories of family reunions. The games that we would play. The prizes that were given out. The laughs that we would have, and the food. The awesome, glorious, delicious potluck that would follow. Take One Action Today To Build Your #Resiliency! Here are today's Tips For Building Resiliency and Celebrating Family Reunion Month: Family reunions can be a cherished tradition. But being around your family or going back to the town in which you grew up can stir up implicit memories that can automatically trigger feelings we felt in our past. No matter how mature we feel, memories of our 10 or 15-year-old selves can cause us to act like we did when we were 10 or 15. If we fail to recognize how we are affected by old emotions and negative early experiences, we run the risk of projecting our past onto our present interactions and relationships. So all of this is to say that family reunions can be fun and a point of real connection, but be aware that there is the potential for past memories and experiences to interfere with this enjoyment. Being aware of your triggers and emotions is the first step in being present and just enjoying the moment for what it really is…a chance to create a new memory. Is there spiritual value in doing what God asks - even if we only do it partially? Does God measure us by a single standard, or does God see each person differently? In this video, Rabbi Yosef Rimon presents a perspective that may challenge your assumptions - and leave you feeling seen, not judged. An emotional story shared by Rabbi Herschel Schachter captures this idea in a way that may move you to tears of awe and gratitude. A powerful reflection on how much God cherishes not just our successes, but our struggles, our doubts, and even our setbacks. What Christianity has called sin can now be named more precisely as trauma, developmental wounds, and disconnection from our true selves—a shift from moral failure to existential brokenness. Greg Boyle's work at Homeboy Industries, grounded in the conviction that there are no bad people but only wounded ones, suggests that redemption means being reminded of our inherent goodness rather than being saved from inherent badness.

Our listeners wanted to know about the legacy of the Troll raid. We've been killing those poor saps a lot -- just about every expansion in either raid or dungeon form, in fact, to the extent that "the Troll raid" is almost a meme. Midnight may be bringing us another chance to murder a whole bunch more Trolls, with rumors swirling about islands off the coast near Zul'Aman -- which, incidentally, was the Troll raid for The Burning Crusade. We start off with a brief recap of the myriad of times in the past when we defeated one branch of trolls or another in a variety of settings. Of course, with such a broad topic, the rabbit hole goes deep. Matt and Joe discuss the Loa, notable troll heroes like Zul'jin, and the future of Trollkind. Since we're going into Midnight without a Troll raid as such, they also speculate a little on how it could come to pass before the expansion is out.If you enjoy the show, please support us on Patreon, where you can get these episodes early and ad-free! December 2, 2025 - The Smithsonian's National Museum of Asian Art presents Korean Treasures: Collected, Cherished, Shared, the first U.S. exhibition of significant works from the renowned Lee Kun-Hee Collection. On view through February 1, 2026, Korean Treasures features over 200 works, including a dozen National Treasures designated by the Korean government. The largest and most comprehensive presentation of Korean art ever mounted at the National Museum of Asian Art, the exhibition spans 1,500 years—from ancient Buddhist sculptures and ceramics to paintings, furnishings and modern masterpieces of the 20th century. Donated to the Republic of Korea in 2021 by the family of the late Samsung Chairman Lee Kun-Hee, the collection reflects more than 70 years of generational collecting and comprises more than 23,000 works, a testament to a decades-long commitment to preserving and sharing Korea's artistic legacy and cultural heritage. Korean Treasures presents a remarkable selection from the collection to American audiences for the first time, alongside additional loans from the Leeum Museum of Art in Seoul, Korea, shown exclusively in Washington, D.C. In a conversation with The Korea Society, three curators from the National Museum of Asian Art–Carol Huh, J. Christmas is one of the most magical seasons for families—but in the midst of the bustle of parties, presents, and Pinterest-perfect traditions, how do we ensure our children keep Christ at the center of it all? Catherine sits down with national TV host, actress, and best-selling author Megan Alexander to unwrap a timely question: How do Christian families actually keep Christ central during Christmas? Megan, who has been a familiar face on CBS’s Inside Edition for over two decades and the producer of UPTV’s “Small Town Christmas,” brings her unique insights in her newest book, The True Gifts of Christmas: Unwrapping the Meaning of Our Most Cherished Traditions. This beautiful Advent resource is designed to make celebrating the season both meaningful and manageable—especially for busy parents. Key highlights from the episode include: Reclaiming Christmas Traditions – Megan shares fascinating stories behind beloved customs, revealing their hidden spiritual roots—from the Christian symbolism of candy canes to legends like the poinsettia. Listeners will discover how stockings, Christmas trees, gingerbread cookies, and even bells can point children (and parents!) back to Jesus. Making Christmas Memorable & Manageable – The book isn’t just a devotional, it’s a coffee table conversation starter, filled with vibrant visuals and historical nuggets accessible to all ages. Catherine Segars notes, “It’s not a sermon… it’s an invitation to consider,” making it a perfect gift, even for those who might not identify as Christian but need a positive encounter with Christ. Practical Family Ideas – From flashlight candy cane hunts to placing candles near loved ones’ pictures, Megan shares creative, simple ways to anchor faith in everyday family traditions. Each activity is an opportunity to discuss the deeper meaning behind symbols and stories—turning ordinary moments into spiritual conversations. Honoring Hope and Hardship – The episode thoughtfully addresses the reality that Christmas is not always “roses.” Stories like that of Henry Wadsworth Longfellow and the tradition of bells remind listeners that even in grief or difficulty, the hope of the gospel and the presence of Christ remain steadfast. Notable quote:“You’ll never listen to bells the same. People are gathering; God is alive and well. There is hope in this world.” — Megan Alexander Listeners will walk away with: Fresh inspiration to slow down and celebrate Advent with their kids Easy ways to make faith tangible without adding stress to the holiday New eyes to see Christ woven through the fabric of their favorite traditions About the guest:Megan Alexander is a national TV correspondent, producer, and author. She is also a mom of three and an outspoken believer who brings decades of experience bridging faith and the mainstream entertainment industry. Call to Action:What tradition could you reclaim this Christmas to make Christ the focus? How can you use a simple story, object, or moment to share the reason for the season with your children? Send us a textIn some cultures, old people are venerated. Cherished. Honored. Deeply respected. But in 2025 America we (remember, David turned 60 recently) are routinely ridiculed. The 10-item list of identifying foibles that comes with being in the AARP crowd might be funny to youngsters who prefer mockery to empathy, but it was far too familiar for those of us whose sphincter's beg for routine reinforcements. Feel free to laugh; we're moping.

Can I tell you what God has done for me? I realized that I needed Him when my way of life was filling me with darkness. In the book of Psalms, the ancient songbook of the Bible, it says: “If I had cherished sin in my heart, the Lord would not have listened.” Jesus isn't interested in temporarily fixing our bad decisions; He's interested in healing us completely. Where are you? Do you hate your sin? The things you do that destroy you and destroy others? If you're there, where I was, cry out to Him today. He's waiting for you. He's listening. He's standing at the doorway watching and waiting and welcoming you home. Always remember, there is hope with God. This is Wendy Palau. Scripture Reference: Psalm 66:18 radio.hopewithgod.com

We belong — not because of perfection or performance, but because we are cherished.Cherished belonging means we are bound to God and to one another, woven into a garment of grace and love that cannot be unraveled. Even in our brokenness, we are not discarded — we are gathered, mended, and held together by mercy.
Transitions often bring a mix of joy and grief. When we release something precious—a child leaving home, a season ending, or a chapter closing—it’s natural to feel empty or unsettled. Yet God, in His compassion, promises new mercies every morning and fresh blessings for every season. In today’s prayer devotional, Keri Eichberger reflects on the bittersweet milestone of sending her son off to college and invites us to redirect our hearts toward God’s unfailing love. Even when grief lingers, His compassions never fail, and His unfailing love leads us into a future filled with purpose and joy. Main Takeaways Transition often brings loss, but it also ushers in new opportunities for growth and joy. God’s mercies are new every morning—He continually provides compassion, strength, and blessing. Looking forward in faith helps us release the past while embracing the future God has prepared. Cherished memories remain gifts of joy even as God leads us into new seasons. Bible Verse References Lamentations 3:32 – Though He brings grief, He will show compassion. Lamentations 3:22-23 – His compassions are new every morning. Psalm 30:5 – Weeping may stay for the night, but joy comes in the morning.
