Things like resistance in relationships, work, health, finances, technology, etc?  It's at these times we need to call up the Name of God, Jehovah Sabaoth.  This name of God means:  The Lord of Hosts, The Lord of Armies (heavenly and earthly). Sabaoth refers to vast multitudes, including human armies, angelic forces, and the heavenly bodies (stars). Jehovah Rapha is The Lord who heals. Rapha (Raphah): Means "to heal," "to restore," "to cure," or "to make whole/complete." This name of God has provided for the final cure for spiritual, physical, and emotional sickness in Jesus. Jehovah Nissi means: The Lord is my Banner. Not only is He the banner flying over us, He is fighting the battle for and with us.     "and this whole assembly will know that it is not by sword or by spear that the Lord saves, for the battle is the Lord's. He will hand you over to us." 1 Samuel 17:47    The Zbue Letter Bible says a banner or a standard is a flag or rallying point during battle, while a banner was usually set on top of a mountain to show people where to assemble and it flew over the warriors as they fought.   This name of God speaks to how He gives us victory against the flesh (our sinful nature), the world, and the enemy the devil. Jehovah Jireh means: The Lord will provide. We often hear this name of God and immediately think of monetary provision, but it is way more than that. God provides for our body, soul and spirit needs. In fact the first mention of God as Jehovah Jireh is in Genesis 22 when God provides a ram to be sacrificed in place of Isaac. Abraham pronounces, "The Lord will provide!"    Jireh, is derived from a Hebrew root meaning "to see" or "to provide," implying "He sees and provides" or "The LORD will see to it."   Philippians 4:19 says, "And My God will meet all your needs according to His glorious riches in Christ Jesus."    Not only will I AM Will Provide, I Am Will See to It. The Name of God El Olam Means: The Eternal God; The Everlasting God; God of Eternity   God is the beginning and the end, the Alpha and Omega. He is the "Ancient of Days," demonstrating His permanence. The name of God, El Olam, shows us that God never changes and His plans and purposes are timeless. El Olam will fulfill his covenants and promises, He works his purposes throughout the ages. Welcome to the first podcast episode of the New Year.  Today, I share the prophetic word God gave me for this year, and I do a little bit of teaching and exhortation at the end as well.  There are 3 Key Words the Lord uses throughout this prophetic word for 2026. They are Rest, Reset, and Repositioning. They are all "R" words that begin with RE  - isn't that just like God? I couldn't have planned that if I tried. However, after recording the podcast and typing up this description, I just realized there is a 4th RE word: Rejoice. I didn't talk much about that word this week, because last week's podcast episode was all about how our weary world be rejoicing. God is definitely on the move in mighty and miraculous ways this year!  I pray this word not only blesses you, but also challenges you to seek God and go deeper with Him. One thing I know we need to do in this season is put down deep roots and be planted by the stream of His living water. As always, with any prophetic word. Seek the Lord. The next name of God that appears in Scripture is Adonai. It means: The Lord; My Great Lord God is our total authority. Adonai is the name often used in place of Yahweh, because YHWH was too sacred a name to speak. Recognizing God as Adonai is to recognize our need to submit to Him. So far we have been studying the names of God in order of how they first appeared in Scriptures. It is exciting and enlightening to see how each name builds upon the previous name.    This week we will discuss El Elyon - The God Most High. The name El Elyon shows there is no higher power or authority than God. This name of God's emphasizes His preeminence, majesty, and power. It also indicates that His rule is absolute and extends to not just the physical world but to the spiritual world as well. Not only is Yahweh (YHWH) the 2nd name of God mentioned in Scripture, because it shows up in just after creation when God creates Adam and Eve. Yahweh is this name that speaks to God"s personal  relational character.   ​​Did You know, Yahweh occurs more than 6,800 times in the Old Testament. Elohim is the first name of God to be mentioned in the Bible. Genesis 1:1says, " In the beginning God (Elohim) created the heavens and the earth." Not only is it the first name of God to appear in Scripture, but the name Elohim appears more than 2,500 times throughout the Old Testament.    The Name of God, Elohim, depicts that He is the all-powerful creator of the universe.   On September 4, 2025, God spoke a word to me during my quiet time. I was reading and journaling about something else at the time, so I grabbed another journal and wrote down what He said. I planned to return later to process and unpack it, which I did the morning of September 10. When we are in a Threshold moment in our life, it is important that we not linger on either side of the door. While there may be a battle to crossover on one side, there is a challenge to move forward on the other side to fully embrace and step into the new territory God is calling us into. Linger on either side of the threshold presents it's own problems and issues. Have you been feeling out of sorts, like something is missing or you don't belong even though nothing in the physical has changed?  Have you been sensing something is off, but can't quite put your finger on it?  Don't worry, I have been feeling all these things too!    Good news is, we are at a Threshold.  We are in the middle of a shift, a transition, a breakthrough, but yet it hasn't happened. The bad news, you are at the Threshold. I know, how can a shift or transition or breakthrough season be bad? It isn't really, but it can often be a time of discontentment, disappointment, and discouragement.  It's often a time of being uncomfortable, of wrestling and battle with things.  Spiritual speaking a “Threshold” is a trasnsition from one place to another. For the last 10+ years,  at the beginning of the New Year, I have asked God to give me ONE Word, phrase, or thought to focus on and go deeper with Him during that season. I also ask Him to give me an anchor Scripture to mediate on and study more fully. This year He gave me the Word TRUST.  He began by asking me, “Debbie, do you trust me?”  I started to say, “Yes, I trust You, Lord.”  But I knew the question meant, there was some area of my life where I needed to work on trusting Him more. While doing the Equipping the Bride Series this summer, God challenged me to challenge us all to start doing something with what we've been equipped with, thus I am doing a new series called: Becoming the Bride Series.   “All Creation is eagerly waiting for the sons of God to be revealed.” (Romans 8:19-20) Becoming the bride is all about dieing to ourself, stepping into the maturation process, getting a name change, taking on our new identity, picking up our cross and following after Christ.     At the end of each episode, I will have an activation exercise that will help us activate each weeks topic. As we head into the final months of the Gregorian 2024 year, and as we are about to embark on the start of the Jewish New year of 5785 I want to take a minute to look back so we can look forward. Around this time of year, I always like to revisit the prophetic word for the year God gave me to release. In the eighth episode of "Defenses Against Deception," Duane Sheriff teaches the importance of hearing God's voice as a defense against deception. God has provided safeguards in Scripture to equip us against being deceived. Satan has a history of questioning God's word, as seen with Eve, and deception can appear harmless but have harmful intentions, as described in Revelation 13. Believers can and should hear God's voice, but many struggle to recognize it.In John 10, Jesus said that His sheep hear His voice and know it. However, like Thomas, who said he didn't know the way, we may not consciously recognize what we already know in our spirits. We may dismiss or not discern God's voice without realizing it.God's voice is often a still, small voice within and is not always in English. The language of the Spirit includes dreams, visions, impressions, and a sense of peace. Believers have the capacity to hear God's voice and discern it from the voice of the stranger or the devil.Romans 8 explains that believers are led by the Spirit of God. The Holy Spirit bears witness with our Spirit that we are children of God. Even when we stray, the Holy Spirit leads us to repentance, guiding us back to the intended path, just as a GPS system does. By learning to tune in and heed the Holy Spirit's leading, we can stay on the straight and narrow path. When we stumble, God's voice calls us to repent, change our minds, and get back on track, as He is committed to guiding us to our destination.
