For the last 10+ years, at the beginning of the New Year, I have asked God to give me ONE Word, phrase, or thought to focus on and go deeper with Him during that season. God is a God of Covenant! There are many covenants throughout the Bible but do we really know what they are and how they pertain to us? Did you know that the word covenant is found throughout the Olt and New Testament, in fact it is used 2,895 times depending on the version you read. Covenant is on the heart of God and not only does He extend these Biblical covenants to us, He invites us to covenant with Him! The Lord spoke to me that 2025 is a year to prioritize thankfulness and that no matter the situation or circumstance we must learn to be thankful. God is good even when things don't look good. We must change our focus and fix our mindset to what the Kingdom of Heaven says. Psalms 100:4 says, “ Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name.” What can you do this year to prioritize thankfulness in your life and begin living with an attitude of gratitude and a lifestyle of thanksgiving all year long, not just one month a year?
In December, the Lord spoke to me and said, “2025 is to be a year of Sowing.” When I released the full word the Lord gave me to share in January, part of the word had to do with us being intentional and careful with what we are sowing this year with our words, actions, and deeds. Today, we are tackling the topic of sowing and reaping and what God has in mind for us to sow into for 2025. The Parable of the Sower isn't just about receiving the Gospel, but it has to do with our hearts and how we are ready to receive the Gospel at the time of salvation and afterwards as well. Our words, actions and deeds come from what we think and what we believe. So let's ask ourselves “What am I Sowing?”
"Choosing the better thing" means to choose or select the option that holds greater value or importance. This often means prioritizing a more meaningful or long lasting benefit over something that may seem appealing in the moment. Over the next few weeks I am revisiting the Word for 2025 that I released last week and breaking down certain parts. This week I want to look at what it means to choose the better thing, and how we may need to bring a balance to the Martha and Mary within each of us. Luke 10:38-42 tells us of the interaction between Jesus and Martha when she gets frustrated by her sister Mary not helping her in the Kitchen serving, but instead choosing to sit at Jesus' feet thereby “choosing the better thing” at that moment. Today is our last episode in the Becoming the Bride Series. Living Victoriously is a journey of faith. We are victorious, because Jesus was victorious. Victory can n=only be found in HIm. We can't do it alone. 1 Corinthians 15:57-58 says: “But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.” In order to live victoriously we must understand who we are in Christ and ALL that entails. Week 5 in our series on Equipping the Bride is: Poverty Mindset No one wants to admit they have a poverty spirit or poverty mindset, but the reality is we all have fallen prey to this spirit. Instead, God wants His bride living and walking in an Abundnce Mindset. He wants us to thrive and live and not live in lack. There are more examples than you might think throughout Scripture of individuals who had to deal with overcoming the poverty mindset to step into the plans God had for them. 3 John 2:1 says “Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.” NKJV The poverty mindset has to do with more than money. Week #2 in our series on Equipping the Bride is: Discernment Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart. At the end of 2021 God began speaking to me about discernement and gave me an eye opening dream regarding the importance of this gift. The message was clear: It is essential that the people of God walk in and use discernement in all situations. If we do not, we will be caught unaware and be gutted by the enemy. Discernment is an important spiritual gift and one that many overlook or discount as being important. Today, Amie and I discuss why Discernment is essential now more than every and why as the Bride of Christ we all need to be operating in it. Fair warning, this is a hot button topic for me and it makes me sad that people are not hearing fresh words from God or seeking their own personal revelation. Instead they are taking someone else's stuff and passing it off as their own. It is especially bothersome when it is a big name platform Plagiarising a small no name one. It's one thing to borrow or utilize someone esle's stuff with permission or giving credit where credit is due. But when someone blatantly uses anothers material without giving credit, it is wrong. But wait - I can hear you saying: “if we are all listening to the Holy Spirit then won't be getting the same or similar words?” Yes, it is true that we can get similar and even the same things from the Lord. However, it will come through our own style, personality, and lens. We as the people of God need to have our eyes open to true, pure revelation and be discerning of those which are not.
