Welcome back to the BE ENCOURAGED! Podcast. We're halfway through the year, and maybe you're still holding tight to those big dreams you set out to pursue in January… or maybe life has caused them to take a back seat. You might be in what we call “the messy middle”—where the excitement of starting has faded and the finish line feels unclear. Maybe you're dreaming about that someday moment, unsure how all the pieces will come together. If that's you today, you're not alone. And you're in the right place. Our guest today is here to remind us that even in uncertain seasons, we can still choose to believe. Christina B., host of the Dream Lab Podcast, is passionate about helping dreamers like you and me take bold steps of faith—practical, prayerful steps—that bring what's inside our hearts out into the world. She'll encourage us to trust God with every part of the journey—especially the uncomfortable parts—and to surround ourselves with praying encouragers who remind us that slow progress is still progress. Even when it feels like we're moving at a snail's pace, God is at work.Christina also reminds us of something powerful: the gift of today. Being present in the moment is where peace and clarity often meet us. She encourages us to listen to our bodies, to honor the resting rhythms our soul, body, and mind need—so we don't burn out before the dream even gets off the ground. She challenges us to step outside our comfort zones—not to strive harder, but to depend more deeply on the One who calls us forward. As she puts it, God's the one who called us out of the boat in the first place.I'll leave you with this quote from 20th-century poet Lilias Trotter, who wrote:“Take the very hardest thing in your life—the place of difficulty, outward or inward—and expect God to triumph gloriously in that very spot. Just there—He can bring your soul into bloom.”Take a breath, settle in, and get ready to be encouraged. Season 2 Episode # 3, Believe Series: Choosing to Believe that God is Good with guest speaker, Carol McLeod

Welcome to Season 2, Episode 3 of the BE ENCOURAGED! podcast — and let me tell you, this one is something special. Although there was a short break between episode 2 and now to episode 3, I appreciate the grace in getting this out to you later than usual. I assure you, though this will be worth the wait! Today, we're diving deep into the believe series. Believe, is not just as a thought, a feeling, or a hope — but as our guest speaker today puts it, it's an action. As a daily decision. As a powerful, faith-filled posture that shifts how we show up in the world. And to help us unpack this life-giving theme, we are honored — truly honored — to welcome the one and only Carol McLeod to the conversation.Carol is known and deeply loved by readers, television audiences, and other Christians across the country, especially women who have been uplifted by her raw honesty, biblical wisdom, and unshakable hope. She's the President and CEO of Carol McLeod Ministries, a powerhouse speaker at women's conferences and retreats, and the author of more than a dozen books. But more than her titles, it's her testimony that speaks the loudest. In this episode, Carol shares what it really looks like to believe — when the diagnosis is bad, when the healing hasn't come, when life feels like it's falling apart. She doesn't sugarcoat her journey. She talks about fighting cancer, battling through painful seasons, and waking up each day making the bold decision to believe that God is still good. That Jesus is still enough. And sometimes? That's the belief that gets us through. We're also excited to highlight the book, Today is a Verb: Open the Gift of Now in Every Ordinary Moment — because believing isn't just about someday; it's about today. Right here. Right now. In the middle of the ordinary, the laundry folding,l and unchecked to do lists, we're invited to live with expectancy, courage, and unwavering belief in who God is.So if you're struggling to hold on, or just need a fresh reminder that believing is the action that will get you through the hard places you might find yourself in — this episode is for you. Grab your cup of coffee, get on your walk or run, or wherever you are — Let's believe and be encouraged— together.Learn more about our guest speaker: website: https://www.carolmcleodministries.com/Follow host, Jackie Brindle on Instagram@be_encouraged_podcast Subscribe, follow, and write a review today! :)

Episode 139 is a powerful reminder of God's unwavering faithfulness and the way He works in our lives, even through difficult circumstances. The story of Joseph is such a profound example of how God can take the hardest moments and transform them into something beautiful. Joseph's journey—from being betrayed by his brothers, to being unjustly imprisoned, and eventually rising to a place of leadership—shows us that even when things seem out of our control, God is orchestrating a greater plan. It's encouraging to think about how God can take our own struggles, setbacks, and moments of loneliness, and use them for His greater purpose. Joseph didn't understand the plan as he walked through his hardships, but God was always at work, refining his character and positioning him for something greater. Similarly, it's powerful to reflect on how God uses our own unique paths, no matter how unexpected or difficult, to prepare us for the future He has in mind. I love the reminder that no matter how tough things may feel, God is still working things out for His good. He doesn't forget us, even when we feel unseen or overlooked. This episode sounds like a beautiful invitation to embrace the hard and the beautiful, trusting that with God, all things are possible. He's got us, and He will never let us fall through the cracks. I hope you find this mini bit of encouragement both uplifting and inspiring! Do you know someone who needs an attitude check? Are you nodding your head yes? Great! But first, let's check our own attitudes at the door. This is something God has been showing me throughout my day and life, when my attitude is negative or focused on complaining. He showed me through a few instances, that when I have a bad attitude or let other's bad attitudes affect me, I miss opportunities to be a blessing! Think about it, if we are to serve others with a good attitude and to do good works like Ephesians 6 tells us, then how can I do that effectively if I have a sour attitude towards what I am in the position of doing? I have to ask myself, "What can I do today to help me remove barriers that keep me out of the pit of my bad attitude and shake off others that pull me down with them? The old saying goes, "My response is my responsibility". This saying was something that shook my core and changed my attitude, during one of the times, I should have been helping the one that I loved, but instead focused on me. Then, I realized my stinking attitude had seeped into that conversation and the work I was doing. The one small step of giving myself a heart and attitude check with God was humbling and just what was needed. Turning to the Lord, changed everything! Perhaps, you have struggled like me with a bad attitude when helping others and need an encouraging word to know you are seen, appreciated, and loved! Welcome to the BE ENCOURAGED! Podcast! I am your host, Jackie Brindle!  This is episode 134.  To recap, the last two episodes were an encouragement to the seeds we set for our children will impact the next generation, whether that's in modeling behaviors, owning our own faith, or through the prayers we say with them and on behalf of our children/or the children you are taking care of.  For most of us, we are in a season of a new school year, which means new phases in parenting and teaching the next generation.  My prayer is that we raise up the next generation to not only be resilient but also to flourish! As a parent, teacher, aunt, and being a part of a community, I want to know how can I be a part of this movement? What can I do to help support and foster an environment that develops emotionally healthy and strong children in a world where discerning the truth and connecting with the next generation is needed now, more than ever. That's why the next two episodes are titled — Raising Up the Next Generation (to be Unshakeable, Resilent, and Flourishing). You will listen in to incredible conversations from women who have specialized backgrounds and credentials in the world of psychology and research around this topic! You are in for a treat!  SO let's first, Meet Lauren Gaines: a devoted mother, loving wife, and the insightful author of "Unshakeable Kids: Three Keys to Raising Spiritually Strong and Emotionally Healthy Children". With a degree in child psychology, Lauren combines her academic expertise with her passion for nurturing families. She empowers parents and children to communicate effectively, establish structured routines, and find restful rhythms amidst life's busyness. By integrating cognitive behavior therapy principles with biblical wisdom, she demonstrates how renewing our minds can transform our actions. Through practical advice, inspiring stories, and scripture-based guidance, Lauren helps parents build an unshakeable foundation at every stage of parenting. Join the conversation and feel refreshed and excited about raising incredible kids!

Additionally, Heather Youpa is coming alongside me to help co-host this episode! This is about a true story of a mother and daughter who found Jesus Christ, while living in a Communist Country! It will have you on the edge of your seat and also asking yourself some questions within! This episode challenges me to consider the generational impact I want to leave behind for my children and for those around me. Also, it encourages me to reflect on where my faith was stirred up and I sought the Lord for myself. Who were the ones who made a generational impact on me, by sewing seeds of faith into my life? What do I need to take out of my life so I can listen to the Lord and hear Him? .....Take out the Pride? Selfishness? Do I need to slow down and Be Still? Should I get up before the kids for a quiet house? Pause and look around? I hope you consider and reflect on that, as well as, and the power and Might of God, which you will hear more about in this episode! It's incredible when we turn our hearts to God and are obedient to what God is calling us to do and strengthening us to press through! Psalm 38:4 says, "Taste and see the Lord is good, blessed are the ones who take refuge in Him." Let this verse be the anchoring theme of this episode and of our faith walk. Welcome, to the BE ENCOURAGED! Podcast! I am your host, Jackie Brindle and you are listening to episode 126!  Thank you for making space in your busy day to press play! If you have some downtime today, please consider writing a raving review on Apple Podcast, or share the episode to my IG handle @be_encouraged_podcast in your stories, or text the link to a friend, so that So MANY more, can be encouraged, like you!  Now, have you ever felt the need or desire for connection with others? I believe we are all made to be connected.  Sometimes we don't even realize how much we truly need it or would benefit from it. Sometimes, it might be easier to not branch out or share out with friends of what's really going on inside.  After all, it's hard to know who to share things with.  But can I give you hope today? If you are feeling like you need connection — PRAY about it!  Recently, I completed a bible study with a group of women, whom I never really met until before the meeting. Why? Because I unspokenly said indirectly to God, “It would be nice to be connected. It would be nice to be around other women who ‘get it'.”  And so when I got this invitation —- I jumped at the chance to go on a blind study small group with my new friend Heather who asked me to go with her. And the best part was, she didn't know I said those things to God or have a clue of how much I was deeply desperate for connection, especially in the area of motherhood.  I was so hungry and thirsty to know I wasn't alone and to be poured into. Each time, I met with these incredibly strong and beautifully humbled women of God, I gained insight. I got my confidence back in areas I didn't feel strong in. I examined my heart and was so reminded not only that I wasn't alone but how loved I am that God would design a particular group for me to be a part of so I could grow not only as a mother, but in my marriage as well.  I didn't realize the power of not only abiding in God, but how powerful it is when others around you are doing the same (flawed and all) and yet, point you back to Jesus. These women were treasures that inspired me to be more like Him, to give myself grace upon grace, and to remind me that it's okay to open up and ask for help or prayer in an area I was struggling in.  Today, I encourage you to be vulnerable, pray about a divine connection with other women who will point you back to Jesus. There is relief in that release when you trust other people enough to share it out!  That's what I am going to deep dive into on this podcast. If you are feeling the tug on your heart for connection, I pray this is the exact encouragement you need to hear to lift you up and onward!  So grab your cup of coffee, get on your walk or run, and BE ENCOURAGED!  Jackie Resources: Follow Jackie on Instagram @be_encouraged_podcast or click the link, https://linktr.ee/jackiebrindle, and learn how to book Jackie for your next podcast guest speaker or speaking event!  Bible Study Book: “Mama, You Be the Difference” https://moreofhimministries.org/mama-you-be-the-difference/ Additional Devotional Bible Readings: John 15, 1 Thessalonians 5:11, and Ruth 1-4  --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/beinspiredandmore/support

Welcome to the BE ENCOURAGED! Podcast. I am your host, Jackie Brindle and you are listening to episode 125, with Julie Seals! Today, she is a speaker, author, and an ordained minister. She has a wonderful husband, Mike, who works with her in their Prison Ministry. Julie also leads “Her Hope Recovery Ministry”. Among all the things she does, it's the core of who she is that really shines.  And today, let me ask you a question. Have you ever said to yourself, the age old statement, “Never will I ______ (insert what you are thinking now.) Maybe you are asking yourself, “Will this bad circumstance or accumulation of a series of never ending bad breaks ever end?”  Or perhaps it's a perspective you are holding onto and need a reminder from Mark Batterson who said, don't put a period where God is placing a comma.  Julie stirs up the encouragement for all of us who can get tied down to thoughts that imprision us to believe the lies that tell us never or never will I see ______ happen.  Julie's life was not always so full of hope. She had many reasons to give up. Many reasons for the people around her to stop praying for her, and write her life off as another one who missed their opportunities in life.  Julie is a living testimony to why we should, “Never say Never!”  Julie unpacks pieces of her miraculous story, which you can hear more of from her newly released book called, “All My Hope, A Prisoner No More.” link to get your own copy is in the show notes. Are you walking through a moment in your life that you feel utterly powerless? Is it hard to trust God? Do you feel surrounded by thoughts or people that attack your character? Perhaps, the situation has you feeling trapped and cornered. How do we battle feeling stuck, in a rut, or hard to trust God at the moment? I get it! Life is difficult to hold onto the shield of faith. Therefore, let me give you a bit of encouragement that will stir your heart and help you take the next step with Godly confidence! The Bible says in Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart; and lean not (do not depend on) on your understanding. (6) Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take (make your paths straight)." (NLT) It's so easy to read this and get hung up on the "Trust the Lord" part and forget how hard it is to not lean on our understanding! It's a struggle is real! But if we read above in verses 1-4 in Proverbs, it reminds us that we have fatherly advice to forget the commands and teachings of the Lord, which the Bible reveals to us. We can be reminded in Psalm 139 how fully known by God we are and anything we try to hide from Him, He already knows. I don't know what struggles you are facing today, this past month, week, or year, but if you are feeling like the weight of the world is on your shoulders and you have no room to move.... then THIS message WILL encourage you! You do not battle alone. God is powerful when we feel powerless. BE ENCOURAGED! So grab your cup of coffee, get on your walk or run, or wherever you are today ---- BE ENCOURAGED! Are you walking through uncertainty? Do you need some encouragement to have COURAGE!? LISTEN TO THIS!! Jessie is a breath of fresh air, as she speaks hope all over this episode! Jessie is a fighter. A mom of 2 beautiful and kind-hearted daughters who love Jesus and has been blessed by her marriage to John for over 36 years. She now also has grandbabies who light up her life and loves to spend time with them. But nothing prepared her for the uncertainty of the recent news she got when she realized that the Cushings Syndrome that she had when she was 27 years old with two babies by her side would come back a few months ago.  Jessie speaks to all of us who go through really hard realities and uncertainties as a pivotal time to see it as an opportunity. She reminds us that we can sit in fear, bitterness, frustration, or self-pity or cling to Jesus who is the answer to it all. Jessie doesn't sugarcoat the hard road she has faced over these past few months and what is up ahead, but she breathes hope to us all who are walking through uncharted waters.  As Jessie is the founder of More of Him Ministries, and the author of several books, well-renowned Christian speaker, she now embraces the other side of ministry, allowing others to care for her. If you are the person who is sitting on the bench right now, and people are taking care of you, that's okay! Let them! Because there's JOY in that!  I can't wait for you to be encouraged to live courageously through times of uncertainty you face today! As Jessie said in this podcast, it's time to Saddle Up! Welcome back to the BE ENCOURAGED Podcast! You are listening to episode 121 part 2 with our lovely guest speaker, Jessica Momose! I couldn't wait to share with you part 2, so I aired it a little sooner than my every other week schedule!  I didn't want to keep you waiting any longer! Keeping all the encouragement and practical advice, fresh in your mind!  In the last episode, Jess unpacked what functional medicine and faith-based functional medicine are and why it's so important to build your healthy living off of a strong foundation in Christ. Some topics mentioned were prayer, planning (goals), and finding a community to help you onward in your health journey.  Now, in today's episode, Jess leads us to consider the importance of having a community, nutrition, hydration, relieving stress, sleep, detoxing, and trusting God with the rest! As well as unpacking the rest of the foundational stones mentioned in her e-book called, “Foundational Stones: A Faith-Based Guide to Healthy Living”. This episode is needed in the world today!  Jess says, “We do the best we can with the resources we have and we trust God for the rest”. I am so grateful that if nothing feels like it's working, we can still pray and take a deep breath to walk in JOY that our God has a greater plan and will pursue us to complete it!  Remember, it's a journey — a marathon, not a sprint! That's why I am so thankful for Jess's work around this topic to help us all fill in the gaps and speak to perhaps some things we may already know (changing nutrition, balancing stress levels, etc.) but it compels us to move forward with the end in mind. That the no now means a greater yes!! Thank you, JESS for speaking hope, wisdom, and grace! She has a testimony that gives me goosebumps as she struggled to find her pathway through New Age and God showed up in her path to seek His way — The Way.  Heather is a natural speaker and is a fabulous storyteller of how God showed her truth amidst her dabbling in the New Age paths. Her story begins with a rebel heart but God shows her a path that He was the Rebel's heart that she needed all along. New Age to New in Christ. It is a powerful story of her own experiences and she also breaks down what the New Age is all about so we can see the truth, as well.  Perhaps this is a message for all of us who put things in the way of following our faith. Welcome to the BE ENCOURAGED! Podcast. This is episode 119 and it's a solo episode with just me --- the host, Jackie Brindle. With all the distractions of ads, reels, sales, seasonal movies, and more it's hard not to turn our eyes from why we celebrate Christmas in the first place! I can remember my childhood memories of Christmas and how each year has made an impact on my life and shaped my view of how I see Christmas today. I hope to remind us all to get back to the heart of why we celebrate Christmas, in the first place. I want to keep our eyes anchored on what's most important to God rather than what the world generally defines as the "Christmas Spirit." I unpack some thoughts based on scriptures such as Ezekiel 33 and 34, Isaiah 9, Psalm 23, and Matthew 2. I encourage us all to be the watchman, to tell others about the good news of Jesus and how God has extended them grace in their own personal lives. I encourage us all to be the light, to be the candle that lights others through this season that might be filled with heartache, disappointment, loss, or brokeness. I also encourage us all to see Christmas as an opportunity to look to our shepherd, our Father in Heaven, our Savior Jesus Christ who shepherds and saves His flock. Listen in to His voice, pray, and seek God for He has and is, all that we need. Reminding others of our Christmas joys and past brings people together. More importantly, reminding people of the true HOPE, LOVE, JOY, and PEACE we have in Christ is the eternal gift that we have to offer to all that we encounter. So go --- and encourage someone with the true Christmas Spirit, because of the gift that was given to us and for us that one Holy Night, our Savior was born. Her goal is to keep her eyes on serving the Lord and encouraging others to see what God is expressing to them while they sleep. How cool is that!?  I love that it says in Acts 2:17  “‘In the last days, God says,    I will pour out my Spirit on all people.Your sons and daughters will prophesy,    your young men will see visions,    your old men will dream dreams. I don't know if it's the end times — but it does seem to me that God is going to call on his people through His spirit, and you might be encouraged to keep on dreaming!  Check out her link at mandyowenministries.com below!  So let's grab your cup of coffee, get on your walk or run, and wherever you are — BE ENCOURAGED! https://www.mandyowenministries.com/ --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/beinspiredandmore/support

On today's episode, you will hear from Micah Marshall, which this will be his second time on the BE ENCOURAGED! Podcast. I am very excited to welcome him back!  Micah has a passion to connect others across generations to the truth of the gospel. He does it in an authentic – down to earth — style that radiates joy and excitement from every conversation you have with him. He is the executive director and founder of Refuge Youth Nework in the Pitsburg area and is a wonderful speaker that will ignite something in you!  His wife, Bethany Marshall, was also on the show so should check out our past episode as well for more encouragement.  I knew the topic of this episode would be intriguing to many because we don't usually talk about what we make idols in our lives to others. For those of you who have been following along with each episode, you know I recently took some courses for my doctorate in strategic leadership. One of the most humbling lessons I learned was how much I was actually placing as idols in my life through the scriptures of Kings. The message to reflect, repent, and ask God to search my heart to tear down things I have put in place of God was a big bold prayer.  And to help us unpack it further with more wisdom and knowledge on the topic of idolatry is Micah Marshall!!!  One of my favorite quotes you will hear from him in this is, “The silence of God does not mean the absence of God.” It is a reminder that God is always with us and that even if he feels far off, we have victory in Christ —- wherever we are. So hold onto that and keep on pressing onward!  So grab your cup of coffee, get on your walk or run, or wherever you are — BE ENCOURAGED!  Jackie micahmarshall --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/beinspiredandmore/support

As a seasoned executive, she is guiding the mission of eradicating human trafficking and sexual exploitation, empowering survivors of sex trafficking to flourish and thrive. Fueled by her passion for justice, she has spent nearly two decades building innovative programs that apply a social justice lens to teens and young adults experiencing trauma. By empowering survivors to outgrow the label of 'survivor' and fostering their strengths, she has cultivated critical efforts to uplift, inspire, and encourage others to be their best selves. She currently spearheads Hope Inspire Love's Trauma-informed Mentorship Program, where she works with survivors of sex trafficking and sexual exploitation. Welcome back to the BE ENCOURAGED! Podcast! This is episode # 102! I am going to be piggy backing off of last week, as we are in a series called, “It's time to Level Up!” I believe that there are seasons as we grow that God asks us to take some brave steps out in faith. And shake things up in our lives. As much as we want those things to reach the end result, we also know that it is a journey. That anything good, does not happen overnight. There's a back story. A ground level that everyone starts at. We need to build a strong foundation in order to level up into the next season or calling God has on our life. In case we get distracted or the wind gets knocked out of you today, here is your encouragement that will help you rise back up and LEVEL UP! Fix your crown as a child of God and give you a new perspective when faced with trials in today. And if we are not careful we maybe stuck on ground level for longer than we'd hope for. There is so much more for you to do, to bring glory to God! Don't give up. Breathe. Hold on Tight to the Word and Prayer. And Share the struggle and what you've endured with someone else and tell someone else why God's so famous! I think it's how we steward our time in the levels we are in, that bring out the richness in the next level God takes us to! I unpack Psalm 102 along with some more practical takeaways and faith filled experiences to keep you moving up and onward in your day, as you level up! And if you are joining me this week and diving into Psalm 102, take a picture of the verses, or a verse that stood out to you and tag me on Instagram. What's your takeaway! I challenge you to pray about what God is calling you to do this week in order to help you rise up and grow in the season you are in! Welcome to the BE ENCOURAGED! Podcast. I am your host, Jackie Brindle and you are listening to episode # 101! For the next three episodes, it's going to be a series on the Psalms. Diving into Psalm 101-103. And the reason I am diving into some bite sized bits of encouragement with these verses is because I believe God wants to tell you to level up! God might have you on a path or one day will have you level up in life. Whether that means leveling up in your ministry, your career, your miles if you're a runner or soon to be runner, leveling up in leadership, or in your calling! God has taken me down a few paths where I didn't realize it in the moment, but God was preparing me to level up. And I believe God is calling you to do great things and to level up! So this one is for you!  I will unpack four points based off of Psalms 101.  I found it fascinating that in the Psalms, David had a calling on his life to lead. In fact, he had a calling to lead a city of people which was a great responsibility. There were people in the nation that opposed him, sought after him, tried to tear him down, and he knew it, too. But I love how he handles this monumental pressure, as God calls him to rise up and level up! He realized some important things to do, to help him as God called him to live out his purpose and God's great plan for his life.  I think we could all use some of those take aways, as we level up and grow wiser, stronger, braver, and become who God has called us to be in our family, within our friendships, at our work, and in our communities. So let's grab that cup of coffee, get on your walk or run, and wherever you are…. BE ENCOURAGED! Each conversation was powerful because it was a seed of encouragement sewn in a way that met people's hearts and minds in a way that only God could have known they needed that seed – for that moment in time. I know it's been a blessing to be able to do what I know I know I know God has called me to do, so when I thought about this 100th episode and talked it out with friends —- Gratitude came to mind. Gratitude is powerful. It can shift our thinking despite our circumstances and what we are facing in the here and now. So I am full of gratitude in this moment, as I look at the glass that is not half empty but yet…. What has been filled up. You have filled up my glass so much —--- thank you for coming in today and being a part of the BE ENCOURAGED! Podcast — even if this is your first time or you've been here for episode 1 called “Worth the Wait” to my first guest speaker on the show. This is a journey. No expiration date. No number capping off what this podcast is about to do or where it's going. But right here in the midst of this journey —- I want to pause at the overlook point, and be in awe. Awe of what's been said and how it's been an encouragement to me and so many others. Like I said, Gratitude is on my mind so that is why this special guest speaker, Stephanie Jones is perfect for this topic! Stephanie is a speaker and author of “The Gratitude Challenge” and “Thank You Notes to God”, among other books she has written. You can listen to Stephanie, also known as the “Giving Gal” on TedTalk. Stephanie lives and breathes gratitude in a way that it's contagious. In fact, after this conversation I went to my husband and so many others and wrote thank you cards and intentionally said thank you to others that I probably wouldn't have, had I not stirred up the momentum to give a gift of gratitude. This is a timely and powerful one you guys —- so grab your cup of coffee, get on your walk or run, but wherever you are…. BE ENCOURAGED! Heyyyy there, listener!! Welcome to the BE ENCOURAGED! Podcast Community!  I am so delighted to have you join me today on episode # 99 with Delphine Kirkland!  Delphine brings the ENCOURAGEMENT, to anyone and everyone who has felt ... defeated,  forgotten,  lonely,  feels like they've strayed away from God, waiting for that healing --- that miracle in their life,  or for the breakthrough to come!  Delphine has battled a journey like no other. She has felt some of those things and I know I've felt most of them at different pivot points in my life as well. It's hard when you feel defeated and discouraged and your faith tank is low --- or maybe non existent right now.  The truth of the matter, that can happen. The rug can be pulled out from underneath us before we even realize it and we can be "sleep" walking through life with very little hope left in us. That is why this 99th episode is SO important. I needed to remind us all that YOU ARE NOT ALONE! That Jesus fought for the 99 and for the ONE --- the one who has wandered off --- the one who needs to know that GOD knows what you are going through and will not fail you now!  Delphine reminds us to stand firm in His word, be a prayer warrior for one another, and do not store up your testimonies but to share them! That is how we battle with faith. That is how God moves beyond borders. That is how we become victorious and know it --- because of the Good Word and the Good Word we share with one another! Thank you, Sister Delphine Kirkland for being a light unto all our paths on episode 99!!!  On top of being an encourager, Delphine is a three timed published author!  Her three books, are inspired by life and her journey with God and walking by faith, even when it was hard.  "Just Jesus and Me" "Hiding God's Word in my Heart" "Family Time with God" (devotional) I promise you that this episode will bring you HOPE and a TON of encouragement!  So grab your cup of coffee, get on your walk or run, or wherever you are ----- BE ENCOURAGED!  Let's Go!  - Jackie  Resources:  Learn more about Delphine and where to order her books at by clicking the link below.  https://delphinekirkland.com/ Follow on social: @delphinekirkland_ Bible Verses from today's episode:           Matthew 18:12 Parable of the Lost Sheep and Luke 15:1 - 32 - Parables of the Lost Sheep, the Lost Coin, and the Lost Son.  --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/beinspiredandmore/support

Welcome back to the Be Encouraged! PODCAST! I am so excited to have you here with me! Hi! I am your host, Jackie Brindle and you are listening to episode # 98! Thanks again, for making space for some encouragement, today. If this is something that is a light to you, please write a review or be an awesome friend and share this episode with someone who needs encouragement! That's what it's all about! :) —-- Alright, let's shift gears! It's October — and I think you all need a treat to listen to, today! So that's why I brought on our guest speaker, Joshlin Long! Joshlin is an encourager, she also has an amazing husband and recently released The Seed Ministries Website. There, you will find her blog and a journal to use for your quiet time devotionals. I brought her on the Be Encouraged! Podcast, because I wanted to unpack the struggle between wanting more for your life in terms of what culture says and also wanting more of Him in our lives. Who here struggles with that!? I know I do! Joshlin, sheds light on the fact that we want more — and seeking that relationship with God is where the fun starts, because, and there's the good life when we seek more of Him! Yes, there's more for you in this moment, in your today, in your marriage, in your singleness, in your career, in your parenting, in your purpose! All because of Jesus. Like in Ephesians 3:23 says, (paraphrasing) there is more than enough for us — believers and non believers when we put our hope and trust in Christ. I love that she mentioned that when we face heartbreak or a dead end, “It's not the end because there's more of Him to come through on your behalf, He's going to do it because He is faithful!” That is the truth and hope that will light a fire in you —-so you can be a light in your community, in your home, in your car ride to work, while you're at home with kids, or in your workplace! If you want to find out more about Joshlin and her encouraging words, you can click the link below called The Seed Ministries, where you can read her devotional blog. Episode #97 "How Great is Our God?" with guest speaker, Ella Brindle

Have you ever felt the intense squeeze of life when you experience stress, fear, a bad moment, or a not so good day? Maybe you've had a not so good week and that squeeze of life feels like you are walking in a fog and you need that ray of light to shine through? I can't promise you that this episode will be it for you ---- but I hope it points your compass to the direction of the light that is greater than any encouraging word I have for you. In fact, you all are in for a special treat ---- a little ray of sunshine in the midst of your day! My twelve year old daughter brings her light of encouragement to the table with us! Before bed the other night, I asked her what her thoughts were on --- How Great is Our God? And the things she was unpacking were SO amazing, that I had to have her come on and share with us her perspective! Believe me, I did not even know the things she was about to say, it had my mouth dropped and encouraged! I pray and hope this is a blessing to you all! And as you think about how great our God is this week, try these things when you feel the dark clouds moving in. 1. Remind yourself of His Word --- THE truth, the way, the light, from a verse or testimony from the Bible. The Bible is God's way of comforting us and helping us through the valleys and circumstances we face. To know that He promises to pursue us with His goodness and faithful love for all our days. (Psalm 23) 2. Praise Him. He is Worthy of ALL Praise. How has God been great to you in your life? Where have you seen His mighty hand move in your life? Play and listen to the Praise and Worship Song by Chris Tomlin: "How Great is Our God", if you'd like, to remind you as well! 3. Ask yourself, "How can I be a blessing to someone by shining a light on their path and to remind them, of how GREAT, God was, is and will be forever! Let's grab your cup of coffee, get on your walk or run, or wherever you are ----- BE ENCOURAGED! Jackie --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/beinspiredandmore/support

Episode # 96 Facing the Here and Now with Hope vs. Comparing Yourself to your Invisible Timeline with guest speaker Shelby Maupin

Welcome to the BE ENCOURAGED! Podcast! I am your host, Jackie Brindle! You are listening to episode # 96! You are all in for a treat, because I have Shelby Maupin, as our guest speaker for today! There are so many mile markers in life that we experience! Sometimes we look to our “invisible timeline” and wonder.... "Are we ahead of schedule, right on time, or does it feels like we may never reach that mile marker that we desire to achieve?" How do we focus on the here and now? How do we take meaning and purpose in the mundane of the day and in the opportunities or hidden seasons we are in? What do we do when God feels silent, or we feel defeated? This can happen for a lot of different reasons because we can experience a lot of different seasons! Not one person is going to experience the same thing the same way. We all have desires in our hearts, and that looks so different for everyone. Shelby talks about her season of singleness and relationships that can be applied to anyone listening who longs to build a relationship with someone. We talk about our desire to live a healthy lifestyle that honors God, and finally we unpack the desire to reach your dreams and ambitions that God has placed on our hearts. Yet, what do we do when we can't figure out this here and now season, we are walking in? Will the comparison trap win out? Will the desire become bigger than our walk with God and to know him more? Will the desires of our hearts ever come to pass? You are going to be filled up with so much HOPE and practical take aways that will encourage you to not give in to the comparison that holds you back. Shelby speaks about processing through what we are feeling by verbalizing it and building up a community to help you through those seasons of struggle! Love that so much! Shelby is young, but don't let that fool you! She is full of truth and gives solid advice for anyone who thinks that they are “never” going to reach that mile marker moment! Let this be a light on your path, today! I encourage you to live a life that follows the opportunities of the season you are given, so you can carry out the assignment God has for you! Truth is, God can achieve the desires of our hearts through Christ and on His timing, not on our own timeline. Be intentional — Be consistent in the Word — and Seek Community to help you in your struggles, as you face the here and now! So grab your cup of coffee, get on your walk or run, and most of all — BE ENCOURAGED! --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/beinspiredandmore/support
