En este episodio conversamos sobre "The Iron Giant" (El Gigante de Hierro) de Brad Bird.
We lost a legend this past week with Jack Angel. For us Darkwing fans we mainly remember him as the voice of Fearsome 5 villain 'Liquidator'. Jack also voiced characters from Transformers such as Ultra Magnus, Omega Supreme & Astro Train. You may remember him as Papa Smurf, The Flash, Hawkman & many other characters. Today we also review a short comic from the Disney Adventures titled 'Vogue's Gallery'. This comic is only 6 pages long but is a lot of fun. Stan Lunn has been requesting this comic for quite some time and today is the day we finally review it. (Due to the passing of Jack Angel, comic review for 'Watts the Problem' will be released next week.) On this week's Extreme Anime Radio Podcast, JR and Nef discuss the passing of two legendary voice actors in Chris Ayres and Jack Angel. Other topics include the new "Lost Session" Cowboy Bebop trailer, newly-licensed Hajime no Ippo episodes, and a debate on lifting Japan's COVID-related travel restrictions. The views and opinions expressed do not represent the opinions of Extreme Anime Radio or the podcast in general. Portions of the original broadcast have been edited for podcast release. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/animeradio/support

Behind Closed Doors is about a relationship that seems too perfect to be true - except that instead of arguing about the “right” way to load the dishwasher and the way the other person leaves cabinets hanging open all the time, Jack Angel is a full-on sociopath who locks his wife Grace in a windowless basement room and plans to do the same to her younger sister. It’s hampered a bit by dry, straightforward prose, but it’s a page-turner nevertheless.

Our special guest is Jason Sperling, Chief Creative Development for RPA, the ad agency responsible for the Happy Honda Days ad that featured the classic Voltron Matchbox die-cast toy, and included the original voices from Neil Ross, Michael Bell, BJ Ward and Jack Angel. After all that fun, Marc and Greg review the final 2 episodes of Season 7 of Voltron Legendary Defender, Lions' Pride Part 1 & 2. Jason Sperling, Chief Creative Development for RPA, talks about how the Voltron Happy Honda Days ad came together, how the idea of using nostalgic toys to sell cars came to be, and what other things RPA has been involved with. One special thing that RPA is proud to be a part of, is the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation, and they have been trying to help provide more resources for kids who have been diagnosed with brain tumors. RPA partnered with 23 animation studios, to create 23 different animated short films around each topic related to pediatric brain tumors. These short films are available in hospital networks around the world, in over 85 countries, and in 12 different languages. We talk about his entire carrier spanning over fifty years ranging from his start in show business to his work with those robots in disguise.
