My latest Cool Friend is the incredible talented Joey Bragg. Joey and I officially met four days before recording, when he was booked on Mint on Card, and we instantly clicked. One of those friendships that just kinda blooms immediately, you know? Well it turns out that not only is Joey a hilarious comedian, but he's a rather prolific actor who came up as one of the leads in Disney's very charming family sitcom Liv and Maddie. He's been in a ton of other stuff, too, including the feature film Sid is Dead, which was a victim of both Covid AND a strike, but retains a cult following of its own. Well wouldn't you know it, but Joey is a huge comics nerd and we geek the absolute hell out about that for A LOT of this episode, so I hope you like nerdy conversations between two super cool dudes that totally aren't dorks. It's refreshing to form a friendship with someone so quickly and effortlessly, and I'm really stoked for this episode. And hey, go follow @Joeybragg on the socials and check out his stuff! And while you're at it, head on over to Patreon.com/jeffmay and enjoy the Patreon-exclusive content we recorded JUST FOR PATRONS!
Comedian and actor Joey Bragg joins us. He shares his story of starting stand up comedy at such a young age, becoming a tv star on the Disney show Liv and Maddie, his love for the Washington Commanders and Sal shares footage of Joey's very first acting gig.

Audrey Whitby is gold & the Audrey Whitby - Joey Bragg relationship is a Young Hollywood Mini Power Couple of Comedy! You know her as Cherry on The Thundermans. I first saw Audrey Whitby on So Random! (Sonny With a Chance semi-spin-off) was my first time seeing her on TV! Audrey is so…incredibly…talented! Her sense of timing and acting chops are so on-point! It’s incredible to see her at work with Joey Bragg on Betch (which also has a few other Liv and Maddie faces). Just after we filmed the intro, we got word back from American High at her upcoming movie, Sid Is Dead, with Joey Bragg (Liv and Maddie), G Hannelius (Dog with a Blog and Sonny with a Chance), Mary Stuart Masterson, and even Jack Griffo (The Thundermans) is in post production! So, as we were packing up at the end of last year’s Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards 2019 orange carpet, there was Audrey! I couldn’t have been happier to see her! It had been so long since our last run-in back in 2014 at Allisyn Snyder (Allisyn Ashley Arm’s) Art show in 2014 and before that at the Lone Ranger Premiere in Disney’s California Adventure back in 2013! Let’s start with a catch up-intro, then jump into our new interview followed by a couple of clips from the fun Piper’s Picks Planetary Archives! Thank you so much for watching, guyz!

Julissa Bermudez and Jose Sarduy are back with a bang! Watch as they bring out LMFAO comics Joey Bragg, Nick Guerra and Omar Elba along with ‘Bald and Beautiful’ headliner Maz Jobrani.
Stand-up comedian and film and TV star Joey Bragg stops by da crib. We discuss the evolution of his stand-up after he 'bloomed' (went through puberty), how he's avoided the pitfalls of being a Disney actor, and his plans to become a mercenary when he gives up this whole acting charade.
As our sociological podcast experiment pitting Millennials versus Generation X continues, we dip into how a Millennial gets made! The millennial in question is none-other then our very own Co-host, Joey Bragg! And our special Guests are his parents, Melanie & Ken. They are here to answer all the important questions, like - "How did you meet and fall in love?", "What was Joey like as a young kid?", and "When did you know he was going to be America's Sweetheart?" It's a super fun show with a lot of laughs, singing Frasier's theme song, and discussing all the uncomfortable topics related to family, fame, sex and relationships. We are also #BLESSED to have the beautiful and talented Audrey Whitby on the show to help ease Joey's nerves related to having his relations on the show. Please let us know how we are doing: @DOFPCAST dudes@dudesoffuturepast.com - We read all the emails! Download, Subscribe, Share and Comment!
This week's guest is actor/comedian Joey Bragg! We talk him starting stand up at age 13, opening for Too Short, how he was treated as a young comic, landing a TV show, an insane plane story, The Jerky Boys, his insecurities even with success, transitioning into adult comedy from Disney, and much more! He also makes fun of my basketball shorts.
Our brief national nightmare is over and Future Dude, Joey Bragg is back on the mic to talk about his recent dental woes. After being laid up with giant holes in his gums for over a week, Joey bravely recounts his experience at the dentist getting four wisdom teeth pulled. What's your biggest dental nightmare? Send us your stories Dudes@dudesoffuturepast.com. Plus, we discuss great movies Kurt grew up with that Joey is just familiarizing himself with. Do they hold up? Will millennials appreciate them as much as the Gen Xers did? Plus, a visit from the recently deceased on another epic episode!
2016 has been an uneasy year in a lot of ways. In addition to one of the most bizarre presidential races in history, the year was also marred by the deaths of so many talented and celebrated artists. This week, that trend continued. Donald J. Trump becomes the President-Elect (and yes, we are all holding off as long as we can before just calling him 'President') and we also lost poet/musician, Leonard Cohen. The hits just keep coming... And now the nation is in full upheaval, with the losing side hitting the streets to protest and vocalize their displeasure. Some on the other side, the so-called victors who take Trump's win as just the empowerment they needed to be the worst versions of themselves, are telling anyone who isn't their skin tone that they are going to have to leave. And it's not just people in rural areas getting attacked. Celebrities in Hollywood are being called "Cucks" to their faces in bars and being prodded to fight. Oh, and our sweet, lovable Joey Bragg... well, he's been arrested! Listen in and find out all about his ordeal and so much more. And let's be better out there people! Dudes@dudesoffuturepast.com @kurtlong @joeybragg @dofpcast
The biggest rock stars in history announced that they would be playing a three-day festival together in Indio, California about 5 months ago. The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Paul McCartney, Neil Young, The Who and Roger Waters all playing the same stage in one epic weekend! What idiot would miss the opportunity to knock off a Rock God Bucket list in one fell swoop? Kurt Long. I am that idiot. But luckily for me, my less idiotic podcast partner Joey Bragg jumped in with both feet and came back still tingly days after the event. Listen in as Joey recounts what he calls a "Life-changing" event. Sure, my fellow Gen Xers may cynically scoff at this claim, but Joey makes a pretty convincing argument as to why Desert Trip, aka "Old"-Chella was something for the ages. (Specifically Boomers and Millennials) Hit us up @DOFPCast, dudes@dudesoffuturepast.com Facebook.com/dudesoffuturepast
It is I, Marc Hershon, your host and public defender for Epi141 of Succotash, the Comedy Soundcast Soundcast. And our Special Guests this time around are Jamie Morton, James Cooper, and Alice Levine, the cast behind the immensely popular soundcast called My Dad Wrote A Porno, available on Acast. I don’t think I’ve had an interview on this show that I haven’t enjoyed doing, but I must say that chatting with these guys was a lot of fun. Jamie, whose dad is the one who actually DID write the pornographic novel in question, Belinda Blinked, along with sharpshooters James and Alice were kind enough to set aside part of a Sunday evening in England recently to accommodate me and the time change between London and San Francisco. For those of you who perhaps haven’t heard My Dad Wrote A Porno, I feature a clip from Epi5 of their show to give you a taste of what the hoopla is all about. It's a simple format, really. Jamie reads passages from the book that his dad – who goes by the name Rocky Flintstone – wrote as Jamie and Alice take turns with their running critique. The show is now well into the second season and, appropriately enough, focuses on Rocky’s sequel to Belinda Blinked. As you’ll hear in our interview, Jamie was running a little late but James, Alice and I decided to start without him. OTHER BUSINESS As if that interview wasn't enough, we've got a double dose of our Burst O' Durst segment featuring our resident political comedian and social commentator Will Durst, plus TWO bonus interviews — a couple of short chats I had at the recent Los Angeles Podcast Festival. The first features Kurt Long and Joey Bragg from The Dudes of Future/Past soundcast, while the second is with George Grimwood, purveyor of the Podnose network from England. Also, this episode is brought to you by Henderson's HalloPants, just in time for Halloween. SOUNDCAST VS PODCAST Our grassroots movement to change the term “podcast” to “soundcast” is being embraced by some, dissed by others. Abner Serd of the Tall Tales & Shaggy Dogs show has changed all of the references on his website to “soundcast”, and the ThunderTaco show is also officially a soundcast. I see there’s also the Salvation Army Soundcast. On the other hand, I heard via Twitter from the Wheelbarrow Full Of Dicks show and also Chris Lanuti from the Broadcast Basement show that they don’t support the change. Chris says he thinks the name sounds “silly”, which I just don’t get, really. Podcast sounds less silly than soundcast? That’s okay, of course. I think it’s fair to say that I’m a little disappointed that a couple of shows we’ve often mentioned and supported can’t throw in with us on the “soundcast crusade”, but that’s their prerogative. We still love you guys. Not to mention we still can refer to your shows as a soundcast here on Succotash. LAST WORDS Please take a few moments to rate and review Succotash on iTunes, if you’d be so very kind. You can also help us out to defray the cost of producing and hosting this mess by clicking on the Donate button at our homesite, http://SuccotashShow.com, or by doing your online shopping by clicking on the Amazon banner at the top of that very same homepage, or purch some merch at our Succotashery, not surprisingly reachable through that same homesite. Until our paths cross again, thanks for passing the Succotash! — Marc Hershon
There are plenty of differences between Gen X & Millennials, but the love of Football seems to be a tie that binds. Joey & Kurt dig deep on the sport of football, privileged players, huge salaries, bigger hits, head trauma, racist team names and a possible future of "Flag Football", and more. If you love or hate the game you'll find something to relate to as the boys pick the game apart from all sides. What is America's obsession? Why do we glorify these gladiators? Should we love it as much as we do? Have a listen and find out. Thanks and Enjoy! Never has a podcast had more fun analyzing the likes and differences of Millennials and Generation X. Comedians Kurt Long and Joey Bragg build bridges between generations using laughter, wit, understanding and nonsense. Joey's youthful exuberance, humor and determination are a great contrast to the more experienced Kurt's cautious skepticism and sarcasm. Together they dissect topics of the day from the perspectives of two entertainment industry professionals separated by 20+ years while providing plenty of laughs and insight. Neither claim to be experts or take themselves too seriously, so their conversations are always hilarious, cutting, and unique. @DoFPCast on Twitter & Instagram @JoeyBragg @KurtLong on Twitter @kurtlong73 on Instagram
