What should you do when classroom misbehavior happens but you do not know which student was responsible? In this episode of Beginning Teacher Talk, Dr. Lori shares a calm, fair approach to classroom management that protects students' dignity while still promoting student accountability and teaching responsibility. Instead of punishing the entire class, demanding a confession, or ignoring the behavior, you'll learn how to create a predictable process that encourages honesty, repairs harm, and helps students make better choices moving forward. What You'll Learn: • How to respond fairly when you did not see who was responsible for a classroom behavior • Why consistency in classroom management is about following a predictable process, not catching every misbehavior • How to invite students to take responsibility privately without using public accusations or humiliation • Why natural and logical consequences are more effective for teaching responsibility than unrelated punishments • How stronger routines, active supervision, and environmental adjustments can prevent covert behavior from becoming a pattern Resources Mentioned in This Episode: • Learn more about Dr. Lori's programs You do not need to see everything or become louder, stricter, or more intimidating to manage your classroom effectively. Listen to this episode for a practical plan you can use the next time something goes wrong while your back is turned, and subscribe to Beginning Teacher Talk for more supportive classroom management strategies for elementary teachers. What if grace isn't just what God gives you after you mess up?We often think of grace as God's eraser—something that wipes away our mistakes and gives us another chance. But in Titus 2, Paul gives us a much bigger picture: grace doesn't just forgive us. Grace teaches us.In this episode of Your Weekly Calling, Brad talks about how God uses grace to shape the small areas of our lives—the way we respond when we're frustrated, how we treat the people closest to us, the habits nobody else sees, and even the struggles we thought we'd never overcome.Through the story of legendary UCLA coach John Wooden and an honest look at his own struggle with anger, Brad explores a simple truth: God loves you exactly as you are, but He loves you too much to leave you there.Your calling this week isn't just to ask, “God, what do You want me to accomplish?”Ask something different:“God, what are You trying to teach me?”Because that difficult season you're walking through might not just be an obstacle. It might be a classroom. And grace is still teaching.

Adam from @AdamDoesMovies joins me to talk about the late Chuck Russell's Eraser starring Arnold Schwarzenegger. It is sometimes a dark tense thriller full of mystery and betrayal and sometimes it's a wacky action movie with xray guns that shoot CGI rods. It is also considered the end of the Arnold's golden era and his last good movie in the '90s.https://youtube.com/live/5H1-RGm5iwchttps://rumble.com/v7e3goc-eraser-was-the-end-of-the-arnold-era-hack-the-movies.html
Of course, a group of teachers is going to enjoy a movie called Eraser! Arnold's in charge of protecting those in high-stakes witness protection. But when a witness's life is in danger because she holds the secrets of a new high-tech weapon, Arnold starts deleting bad guys. Join us as we erase all doubts about the maximum absurdity/destruction of this 90s action blockbuster.
In 1996, Arnold Schwarzenegger teamed up with director Chuck Russell for Eraser, a gloriously over-the-top 90s action movie filled with railguns, alligators, witness protection conspiracies, and Arnold one-liners. And yet… despite being a box office success, Eraser rarely comes up when people discuss Arnold's best movies. It arrived right at the tail end of his run as the king of action cinema, just before audience tastes — and Arnold's career — started to shift. Hard to believe but it's been 20 years since the release of Thom Yorke's debut solo record, The Eraser! We chat about its legacy, where we were and how we felt when we first heard it, and how it was made/pulled from Thom's anxious mind. Also, we have a hefty news pile filled with items like Hamlet Hail to Thief moving to London, the mysterious cancellation of the Motion Picture House in Chicago, Ed's ethereal new song, a blunt but entertaining interview, and a gorgeous cover that ISN'T Creep for once.
THE MOVIE CRYPT pays tribute to filmmaker Chuck Russell (THE MASK, A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET 3, THE BLOB, THE SCORPION KING, ERASER) who sadly passed away this week.

Month of Action continues! Charlie is joined by John from A Cut Above Horror Review this week with an "underrated" Arnold movie. Eraser is basically 1996's answer to “what if Arnold Schwarzenegger was HR for witnesses?” He plays John Kruger, a U.S. Marshal who fakes your death, scrubs your identity, and probably has a bit too much fun with picking out your new identity. The plot kicks in when he protects Vanessa Williams from corrupt government goons selling super-guns that can see through walls. Yes, the bad guys invented X-ray rifles and thought, “This won't backfire at all.” Cue Arnold defying physics with an electromagnetic railgun the size of a small Honda, delivering one-liners like he's getting paid per pun. It's loud, it's dumb in the best way, and it's peak Arnold: explosions first, logic later, paperwork never. If you miss when action movies solved problems with shoulder-mounted hardware and a smirk, Eraser still holds up. Just don't ask how that railgun ammo works....or why Alligators were needed. How can the same element make both pencil lead and diamonds? This week we wrap up our pencil chemistry mini-series by answering a surprisingly tricky question: how do erasers actually erase? Then we dive into one of chemistry's coolest ideas. Graphite and diamond are both made entirely of carbon, but one is soft enough to write with and the other is the hardest natural material we know. What changed? The answer reveals something remarkable about chemistry, structure, and the hidden world of atoms. Inspired by Pitchfork, Jay presents a question. What's your perfect 10 album? The guys discuss their picks. Jay chose Paul's Boutique by the Beastie Boys, Nick went with In the Aeroplane Over the Sea by Neutral Milk Hotel, and Greg landed on his first perfect 10 album, Nevermind by Nirvana. You can check out the 240 artists that responded over on Pitchfork: https://pitchfork.com/features/240-artists-on-their-perfect-10-albums/Song: Beastie Boys - “Shake Your Rump”It's News with Nick! Apparently it was news to Nick that in 2009, when Thom Yorke was assembling a band to perform songs from his solo record Eraser, he enlisted Flea of the Red Hot Chili Peppers to play bass! In more recent news, the Kennedy Center retains it's original name and independent music platform Nina Protocol is shutting down in July.Song: Flea - “Traffic Lights (feat Thom Yorke)”Friend of the show, Nate Kalwicki, was recently awarded a mortgage free home by the amazing folks at A Soldier's Journey Home. An Afghanistan veteran, Nate lost his right leg in an ambush and met Greg while recuperating at Walter Reed Hospital. Listeners may remember that he's now the guitarist for The Resilient. The band got to perform at the celebration and Greg gives us a play-by-play on “Tales From the Concert.”Song: Aphex Twin - “Window Licker”
Host Scott is joined by special returning guest Adam Thornton (Films That Time Forgot) to talk about the now semi-forgotten Arnie flick "Eraser."Over the course of the episode Scott and Adam discuss what makes this the last Classic Arnie Era film, why this was a hit at the time but seems to faded from memory now and debate whether "Eraser" had franchise potential. Plus, we get into how director Chuck Russell deals with the action in his first large scale action flick (his background being horror and comedy), theorise why Vanessa Williams didn't get more action roles and extol the virtues of James Caan as the villain. Send us a textIn this episode we are joined by two special guests, Steve Ford (the youngest son of President and Mrs. Ford) and adoptee Thuy Williams to mark the 50th anniversary of Operation Babylift, the frantic evacuation ordered by U.S. President Gerald R. Ford of Vietnamese war orphans in the final days of Saigon in 1975. The Pan Am Museum, in partnership with the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Foundation and the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Library & Museum, commissioned filmmaker Dirk Braun to create the documentary short film, Operation Babylift: 50 Years Later: 1975-2025, A Celebration of the Human Spirit.Steve Ford has enjoyed a remarkable acting career spanning over 40 years, with appearances in more than 800 hours of film and television productions. He has worked on over 25 films and numerous guest-lead roles in television. Early in his career, Steve spent six years playing Andy Richards on the CBS daytime soap opera The Young and the Restless. His film and TV credits include Transformers, Black Hawk Down, Contact, Armageddon, Starship Troopers, Eraser, Heat, When Harry Met Sally, J.A.G., Columbo, Murder She Wrote, Happy Days, along with many others.Steve is the third and youngest son of President and Mrs. Gerald R. Ford. He currently serves on the Board of the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Foundation. Adoptee Thuy Williams was born in Ho Chi Minh City in 1970. When she became an adult, she wanted to serve the country that gave her a second chance by joining the U.S. Army as a tank mechanic. After serving for eight years, Thuy returned to her adoptive hometown of Portland, Oregon and started her own business, a construction and roofing company called Acme High Performance. She is also a missionary with One Challenge and a coach of soccer, track, and lacrosse…spending her time traveling the world, using sports to bridge the gap with traumatized people in refugee camps in third-world countries and helps these kids process trauma by using sports as a way to create friendships and smiles. Thuy is on the board the nonprofit Breaking Boundaries, which takes kids from the US to do community service projects in third-world countries. Like Steve Ford, Thuy is also motivational speaker encouraging people to make a difference in their communities that leaves a lasting legacy for generations to come. 0:00:00–0:15:00 — Live intro, celeb 9/11 near-miss chatter, and a “haunted” vending machine We kick off live and riff on the lore that Mark Wahlberg and Seth MacFarlane “conveniently” didn't get on a 9/11 flight — “lucky guys,” then: “let's get this dooming going.” First Video of the Day: the “haunted vending machine” dispensing retro sodas (Texas Red, New Coke, Russian Pepsi), unlabeled buttons that all read “mystery,” and a 2018 disappearance with a note: “went for a walk.” 0:15:00–0:30:00 — Wheel drama, pepper-spray role-play, and “Einstein's wife” The wheel gives us zero points and we riff on the scoring. Sam runs a pepper-spray mugging role-play: “If I'm a robber… let's role play.” Hot take detour: “Einstein's wife wrote everything,” plus more headline-surfing. 0:30:00–0:45:00 — Eden as a “human zoo,” geoengineering clip, and Pinocchio as programming We chew on a theory that Gan/Paradeisos (Eden) was a controlled enclosure — a literal fenced compound. A geoengineering quick-hit claims nano-aluminum exposure — and the chat starts buzzing. Then a wild breakdown of Pinocchio as an esoteric “conditioning manual.” 0:45:00–1:00:00 — Quantum eraser brain-melt and the Max Headroom hijack The delayed-choice quantum eraser: change the which-path info after detection and you flip the pattern — “it knows the future.” Caller segment: the 1987 Chicago Max Headroom TV hijack — pirate transmitters, radio-school lore, and a mysterious “Zapruder frequency” email. Theory time: it may've piggybacked a Cold-War emergency visual channel. 1:00:00–1:15:00 — Reincarnation receipts and what it does to a kid We retell the “Soul Survivor” case: Natoma Bay, pilot James M. Houston Jr., and the book that followed. Then we sit with the human side — night terrors and the idea we “keep doing it over until we get it right.” 1:15:00–1:30:00 — Skinwalker doom-camping to close Final clip: a guy taunts a Skinwalker, hears cries outside his tent, and… goes deeper into the cursed forest (of course). He stumbles on eerie figurines and crosses hanging from trees; the dread spikes.
