On this episode, we are honored to be welcoming actress, Catherine Mary Stewart. You know Catherine from Night of the Comet, The Last Star Fighter, Weekend at Bernie's and SO MUCH MORE! Catherine Mary Stewart's career has spanned more than 30 years and over 50 different productions, from film to television to theater, in England, Canada and the United States. She was living in London studying dance, acting and singing when she was cast in her first professional acting role as the lead in the rock musical The Apple (1980), which was chosen to open the Montreal World Film Festival in 1980 and has since developed a cult following, being screened - twice, due to popular demand - at Lincoln Center in New York City. Catherine moved to Los Angeles in 1981 and soon landed a contract with Days of Our Lives (1965), originating the role of Kayla Brady. During Catherine's tenure with the soap opera, she was cast in the lead role of Maggie Gordon in The Last Starfighter (1984). She found steady employment in films, appearing in a variety of films including the cult classic Night of the Comet (1984), the teen comedy Mischief (1985) and the female lead in the comedy film Weekend at Bernie's (1989). Since that time, she has gone on to make 37+ films and numerous television appearances, and continues to delight her fans all over the world. Interview: I am joined by actress Catherine Mary Stewart. Catherine Mary Stewart starred in The Last Starfighter, Night of the Comet, and Weekend at Bernie's. We discussed what led Catherine to act. We chatted about her journey which began landing the lead role in the movie The Apple and a run on Days of Our Lives as the original Kayla Brady. I took the opportunity to learn more about her time guest-starring on Knight Rider and working with David Hasselhoff. Catherine shared some great stories about auditioning, passing on Family Ties, and being up for the role of Rachel on FRIENDS. Kieran and Derek are joined by actor Catherine Mary Stewart to discuss her roles in iconic 80's movies and much more. Catherine Mary Stewart's career has spanned over a period of 30 years, and over 50 different productions from film to television to theater, in the U.K., Europe, the Middle East, Canada and the United States. She was living in London studying dance, acting and singing, when she was cast in her first professional role as the lead in the rock musical THE APPLE. THE APPLE was chosen to open the Montreal World Film Festival in 1980 and has since developed a cult following that is as strong as ever. The movie continues to be screened all over the United States including the illustrious Lincoln Center in New York City. Catherine moved to Los Angeles in 1981 and quickly landed a contract with DAYS OF OUR LIVES originating the role of KAYLA BRADY. During Catherine's tenure with DAYS she was cast in the lead role of MAGGIE in THE LAST STARFIGHTER. She found steady employment as an actor in movies, including the cult classic NIGHT OF THE COMET, the 50's teen comedy MISCHIEF, as well as the female lead in the very popular WEEKEND AT BERNIE'S, and many more. A variety of television features and miniseries have also given Catherine the opportunity to work alongside such luminaries as Robert Mitchem, Jean Simmons, Robert Stack and Karl Malden. She co-starred with Charles Bronson and Christopher Reeve in the acclaimed TNT movie THE SEA WOLF. She also starred along side Candice Bergen, Rod Steiger, Anthony Hopkins and Angie Dickinson and many more, in the widely publicized HOLLYWOOD WIVES, and played the YOUNG HELENE JUNOT character in SINS. Stewart received accolades for her work on the mini-series PASSION AND PARADISE with Armand Assante and Rod Steiger. This week Stephanie and Breifne are joined by Shelbourne midfielder Rebecca Creagh and attacking prospect Kayla Brady of Athlone Town ahead of the start of the 2021 season. Rebecca, a Shels stalwart, has rejoined the club this season after being away in Australia, dealing with a period of injury struggles and a re-introduction to the league with Bohemians last season. She's delighted to "get the band back together" having played with a core of that team including Rachel Graham, Pearl Slattery and Noelle Murray since their teenage years. She discusses the appointment of Noel King to the managerial position and the recruitment of Saoirse Noonan, Amanda Budden and Rachel Baynes amongst others to the playing squad has really given the squad a lift ahead of the new season where they hope to move one step higher and reclaim the league title from cross city rivals Peamount United. We're also joined by Irish underage international Kayla Brady, who along with her older sister Leah, was an integral part of Athlone's debut season in the League and is raring to go ahead of the 2021 season. She talks about the geographical spread of players coming from all over the centre and north west of the country who have been gathered by Tommy Hewitt for the season ahead with international quality in the shape of Northern Ireland senior international defender Catherine Hyndman & Muireann Devaney who's represented Ireland at underage level. Across the show Kayla, Rebecca and Steph discuss the impact of having the support of the men's national league sides in terms of expertise, facilities, profile and resources to really push on the standards of the women's game. Stephanie also tells us about Peamount's own weather nightmares against Athlone in a game on Friday evening, where even the match officials were praying for an early final whistle due to the atrocious conditions that marred a number of games in the last week.

Hey everyone, and welcome to another episode of Weekdays with Murph. Today we're super excited to welcome Mary Beth Evans to the show! Most of you probably know her as Kayla Brady from "Days of Our Lives", "Katharine Bell" from General Hospital, or as Sara Garrett on "The Bay". I'm taking the lead today, with Cody as my wingman of course, so let's get started! 

The Diva of Days of our Lives and friends welcome "The Bay" actress, Mary Beth Evans.  Mary Beth plays Sara Garrett on the popular web series, "The Bay."  Mary Beth also appears as Dr. Kayla Brady on Days of our Lives.

Mary Beth Evans is bringing the role of Kayla Brady back to Salem. The actress is due to report to the set of DAYS OF OUR LIVES on September 22, 2011. It is unclear at this moment how long her stay will be and what will bring Kayla back to town. That same day, Evans can be seen in the theater production of MURDER AT THE HOWARD JOHNSON'S; a screwball comedy about a love triangle and three murder plots that all take place at the Howard Johnson's Motor Inn. Evans will also be seen in an episode of ABC's BODY OF PROOF, which is set to air later this month. In the meantime, the actress can also be currently seen in the hit web series, THE BAY, as Sara Garrett.

The Diva of Days of Our Lives and Friends will interview DOOL actress Mary Beth Evans (Dr. Kayla Brady Johnson.) Mary Beth will briefly return to DOOL this summer. Also, Mary Beth plays the lead character in a new webseries, "The Bay." Ms. Evans also will return as "Sierra Montgomery" on As the World Turns.
