The panel discuss Aoife Kelly's early season opener, a superb save from Treaty goalkeeper Mya Sanchez and the debate over whether McCleary's header had crossed the line during the contest (1:45). Treaty United manager Laurie Ryan joins the podcast to reflect on the performance and what her side can take from the opening night (12:43), before Shelbourne manager Sean Russell discusses the positives from his side's winning start to the campaign (17:08).Attention then turns to Marley Park where Galway United left Dublin with a late 1–0 win over DLR Waves (20:35). Despite the defeat, much of the conversation focuses on the performance of DLR goalkeeper Summer Lawless, who produced a series of sensational saves during the match. The panel also debate whether the young stopper was fortunate to avoid a red card after a late challenge on Ceola Bergin. Lawless herself joins the show to discuss her performance and the team's start to the season (30:17), followed by reaction from DLR Waves manager Laura Heffernan (31:54) and Galway United manager Phil Trill (34:15). Galway's winning goal eventually arrived late in the game through Isabella Beletic. In the south east derby between Waterford and Wexford (37:54), the sides played out an entertaining scoreless draw where penalties, goal line clearances and impressive saves dominated proceedings in a lively encounter. The weekend's highest scoring match came in Greenogue as Peamount United and Bohemians shared four goals (52:16). Twice Sarah McKevitt had Bohemians in front, but Peamount responded through Sorcha Melia and Mary Phillips to secure a point. Bohemians defender Lisa Murphy reflects on the match (55:07), before Peamount manager Gary Seery gives his thoughts on an open and entertaining contest (56:43).In the northwest, Sligo Rovers produced a strong performance against champions Athlone Town (1:01:40). Dana Scheriff had given the visitors the lead, but a late Emma Hansberry free kick secured a deserved point for the Bit O' Red, who will feel they could have taken more after creating several chances during the game. The weekend concluded on Leeside where Shamrock Rovers began the James O'Callaghan era with a 2–0 win over Cork City (1:08:36). Inspired performances from Sadhbh Doyle and Ellen Molloy helped Rovers secure the victory, with Doyle opening the scoring before Emily Corbet added the second to seal the three points. The panel wrap up the episode with a full round-up of the weekend's results across the division (1:12:03).Episode 6 — the weekly preview show — will be available on Thursday as the podcast continues its coverage of the 2026 season.

IP Telecom, the leading provider of cloud-based voice over internet protocol (VoIP) and unified communications telephony services to business customers across Ireland, today celebrates International Women's Day with a fundraising event in support of the Irish Homeless Street League. The Irish Homeless Street League is a volunteer-driven non-profit organisation that uses the power of sport to transform the lives of people who have found themselves affected by social exclusion. Today's event run by IP Telecom, in celebration of International Women's Day, will be dedicated to raising funds for the organisation and its work. Under the theme, 'Inspire Inclusion', the event will include attendance from charity CEO Christopher O Brien, and womens player Vanessa Lynch, who is due to speak on her experience with the charity. IP Telecom joins the likes of Colin Farrell in its support of the charity, which is currently fundraising towards supporting an Irish entry in this year's Homeless World Cup in Seoul, Korea. At the IHSL, there is a belief 'A Ball Can Change A Life'. Via nationwide leagues, the charity looks to create positive change by motivating, inspiring and developing people who have experienced homelessness, alcohol and substance abuse, or are ex-offenders, long-term unemployed and refugees, delivering positive social change throughout Ireland. Through strategic partnerships and dedicated efforts, the organisation aims to break down barriers and create opportunities for women to rebuild their lives. Many of the female participants have gone back to education, created a career for themselves and also gained a new perspective on life. Speaking at today's event, Shena Brien, CEO of IP Telecom, said: "This International Women's Day, we're not just celebrating - we want to take action. Empowerment and inclusion are core drivers of our business at IP Telecom, as we aim to create an environment that supports women - this ethos goes beyond supporting our own internal team, but how we inspire inclusivity on the outside. Today we're raising funds for the Irish Homeless Street League, which uses the transformative power of sport to create opportunities and instil hope across Ireland - this is a fantastic charity, and I would urge those who can to visit their website and find out more about the work they do." IHSL first launched its campaign to create a league for women In 2016; this started off as one league in Pearse St Dublin, has grown to three leagues nationally, with two in Dublin and further league in Limerick. The organisation's first women's team participated in the Homeless World Cup in Oslo 2017, and have continued to participate in many European tournaments. Most recently the team achieved 4th place at the Homeless World Cup which was held in Sacramento California 2023, the highest ranking ever by an Irish team in the tournament itself. The support of IHSL is not the first time IP Telecom has given encouragement to female sporting organisations. Since 2023 IP Telecom has been the proud lead sponsor of the Women Senior Team of current Women's League of Ireland champions - Peamount United. As the primary sponsor of Peamount United's Women Senior Team, IP Telecom eagerly aims to contribute to the team's success and growth, as well as nurturing the development of women's football within the club, and the country as a whole - empowering the next generation of talented women in sports, business, and technology. IP Telecom, led by CEO and co-founder Shena Brien was founded in 2010, and is based in Dublin West. The company, which offers a full suite of innovative, leading-edge business telephony services and solutions to over 4,000 business customers across a variety of sectors, holds a near 50:50 gender split in its staff. "Ensuring that our staff is balanced, inclusive and more representative of society as a whole is of great personal importance to me.
