This is W. Keith Tims, writer, producer and performer of The Book of Constellations. It's a down-to-Earth sci-fi road trip about Rael, the sole survivor of an alien race, who has come to Earth to fight the same Darkness that claimed his own people. Along the way Rael gathers allies from the lost and forgotten of America, including Satya, a teenager running from her abusive family, and Simon, the narrator, who suffers from bone cancer. Rael rejects the tools of violence and force, instead relying on his radical sense of empathy to confront the Darkness. The episode I have to share with you is Verse 12, “Redemption.” Throughout the show, Rael is pursued by a paramilitary organization called The Theta Group, led by Dr. Mara Astrom.
