On this episode of Songs of Our Lives, it's Dania! Her new record, “Listless,” has been on regular rotation the last few months, but as it gets dark earlier, it's going to be a mainstay on the stereo. We talk about the magic and mystery of late nights, Japanese snake gourds, and how it all came together on this record. Then we can't stop talking about Tiesto covering the greatest song of all time, Mariah's all-time status, Fayrouz, PJ Harvey, Clarissa Connelly, This Mortal Coil and more!Listen to all of Dania's picks HERE“Listless”Dania's WebsiteParalaxe EditionsSongs of Our Lives is a podcast series hosted by Brad Rose of Foxy Digitalis that explores the music that's made us and left a certain mark. The losing streak ends at four games as the Magic desperately win a game in Charlotte. There were some positive signs from that performance, but most of the early part of this season has been full of undisciplined and downright listless stretches that have cost us games. We went 2-4 in October when it should've been 5-1. And Charlotte is not a good team. We gave away the Hawks game because we couldn't defend in crunch time. That was Game #2 of the season. There's an extra microscopic view on Jamahl Mosley, who is still in the 2003 Doc Rivers danger zone. Tonight brings a temporary relief. Jeff Weltman is not firing himself for our roster flaws, so it's Jamahl on the hot seat. Doc got fired eleven games into the 2003-2004 season when we were 1-10. That was also a jersey rebrand season. This is season #5 of Jamahl and he still doesn't know how to call momentum timeouts consistently. Jamahl still refuses to get thrown out of games when refs are royally screwing his roster over. Pace and offense are not the problems right now, our defense is horrendous. Giving up 107 in Charlotte is a step in the correct direction. Way too much bad body language at times. Mosley is 6 games from surpassing Doc Rivers for the 3rd-most Magic games coached in franchise history. It's still not a given Jamahl is going make it to that milestone. Orlando picked up the team contract options for Anthony Black and Tristan da Silva, but declined Jett Howard's. Jett will now be a free agent in the summer. The Magic will see 10 of their games broadcast over the air locally in Orlando and Tampa. That's very exciting as far as potentially breaking away from regional sports networks goes. All of that and more! #LetsGoMagic Warning: Adult Language
Ben Ennis and Brent Gunning kick off Wednesday morning by recapping the Maple Leafs' disappointing loss to the New Jersey Devils last night. They dive into the team's lack of response after Anthony Stolarz' comments on Saturday night, thoughts on the top line, and the group's overall lack of identity. The guys also chat about Connor McDavid scoring his first goal of the season, and debate if the offseason noise affected his start at all. Later, Ben and Brent tee up the Toronto Raptors season which tips off tonight against the Atlanta Hawks. They discuss some fair expectations for the team, the keys to success early on, and Brandon Ingram's All-Star potential. The views and opinions expressed in this podcast are those of the hosts and guests and do not necessarily reflect the position of Rogers Sports & Media or any affiliates.
What if "listless" isn't laziness, but leadership? In this reflective episode, I explore the surprising upside of being listless (a state often dismissed as disengagement or lack of energy). Instead, I ask myself, and you, could stepping back, slowing down, and letting go of the constant doing actually lead to deeper insight, presence, and innovation? From challenging productivity culture to rediscovering the space where creativity lives, this episode invites you to embrace moments of intentional stillness. Learn how releasing the grip of the to-do list might unlock a new kind of leadership rooted in awareness, presence, and possibility. It's not about doing less. It's about being more.

Send us a textIt's Episode 373, and LAFC provides very few signs of life in our last MLS Regular Season match before Leagues Cup. LAFC falls at home, 1-0, to the Timbers. The lone bright spot of this match? The performance in the MLS debut of defender Kenny Nielsen! Nielsen was solid, and his near-goal on an audacious bicycle kick attempt in the second half was the highlight of the match.
Ken Carman and Daryl Ruiter discuss the Cleveland Guardians' lackluster 6-0 loss to the Toronto Blue Jays, while producer Owen Lademann gets heated over the Guardians and manager Stephen Vogt's lack of fight over an exchange of hit batsmen involving Jose Ramirez.
The Oilers dropped Game 5 of the Stanley Cup Final after a flat start and near-flawless performance from the Panthers, whose depth continues to shine, as each of their top 9 forwards now have 15 or more playoff points. Florida's relentless structure and experience, led by Brad Marchand and Sam Bennett, overwhelmed Edmonton, who sorely missed injured Zach Hyman. Evander Kane and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins struggled, and Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl still haven’t found their top gear in this series. The Oilers’ defensive pairings look fatigued, and goaltending remains a question heading into an elimination Game 6. The pressure is squarely on Edmonton's stars to respond or face another long offseason without a championship.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Ben & Brent kick off with a big question: WHAT HAPPENED LAST NIGHT TO THE MAPLE LEAFS?! They analyze Toronto's blowout loss at home to the Panthers, fan reactions, and player responses. The duo then shifts focus to the Edmonton Oilers advancing to the Western Conference Final, with a peek at Connor McDavid's frustration. They also discuss an impressive Blue Jays win, hinting at a brighter season ahead. The hour wraps up with a Golf Report covering Scottie, Rory, Bryson, and this weekend's PGA Championship (33:19).The views and opinions expressed in this podcast are those of the hosts and guests and do not necessarily reflect the position of Rogers Sports & Media or any affiliate.
CHAPTER 127. BRUTALITY WITH PURPOSE: DYING FETUS AND WHITECHAPEL REDRAW PAIN.In episode 127 of Listless, Garden of Sadness, emotional devastation merges with technical brutality thanks to the colossal presence of Dying Fetus. This chapter immerses us in a raw, precise, and uncompromising sonic experience. The band, an icon of technical and brutal death metal, continues to showcase their ability to blend complex riffs, pinpoint blast beats, and fierce social critique — all while maintaining their underground essence. Their lyrics are not gratuitous: every line is a dagger to the system, wrapped in meticulously crafted rhythmic structures. Here, pain isn't just heard — it's felt.Moving on to Whitechapel's new release, Hymns in Dissonance, we encounter an unexpected evolution. From their beginnings as a pure deathcore act, Whitechapel has walked a path of sonic maturity that reaches a new climax in this album. The heavy guitars still roar, but now coexist with introspective melodic passages, carefully measured clean vocals, and an immersive production. Hymns in Dissonance doesn't just break from their past — it honors it with intelligence. The band dares to explore sadness, redemption, and the weight of existence in an album where every track is a restrained scream. This contrast between Dying Fetus' systematic fury and Whitechapel's controlled melancholy offers a clear vision of how extreme metal can be as cerebral as it is emotional. Two different paths, born from the same garden of sorrow and rage.Highlighted phrase for the podcast:"From the social viscera of Dying Fetus to the harmonic lament of Whitechapel, episode 127 is a journey through the most human edge of extreme metal."#DyingFetus #Whitechapel #HymnsInDissonance #ListlessPodcast #DeathMetal #Deathcore #ExtremeMetal #MetalReview #MetalPodcast #DanielSchifter #LaArañaFM #ElNidoDelBlackMetal #ResonanciaMagnética #BrutalDeath #TechDeath #ModernMetal #Metal2025 #MetalCritique

Boomer said the Rangers were out coached by the Hurricanes last night and the team did not match the excitement of the fans at the Garden. He is not too worried yet as they are still up 3-2. If they lose in Carolina they still come home for game 7. Boomer called their performance, ‘listless'. Boomer said somebody has to step up and that person can be Chris Kreider. Jerry is here for an update and starts with all the sounds from last night's Rangers loss in Hurricanes. LeBron James was at the Cavaliers game and got a huge introduction by the deep voice guy. Edwin Diaz blew another game last night and the Mets ended up losing in 10. Lions QB Jared Goff got a huge deal averaging $53 million a year. Tom Brady's first game will be the Cowboys at Browns in week 1. In the final segment of the hour, Connor Hughes of SNY said the Jets tried to hire someone to run the offense instead of Nathaniel Hackett. We wondered if Aaron Rodgers was aware of this. Boomer had a dream about the Jets and Bengals playing in the divisional playoff game.
He points the finger at one player in particular.
What is National Poetry Writing Month?Welcome, art enthusiasts and wordsmiths alike, to another episode of Create Art Podcast! We are diving headfirst into the enchanting world of poetry as we celebrate National Poetry Writing Month (NaPoWriMo). This annual event, which takes place every April, encourages poets and aspiring writers around the globe to embrace their creativity and commit to writing a poem each day for the entire month. The Beauty of National Poetry Writing Month:NaPoWriMo, similar to its prose-centric counterpart National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo), is a celebration of the written word and the boundless creativity that can flow when one dedicates themselves to a daily practice. Poets of all levels of expertise are invited to take part, from seasoned wordsmiths to those just dipping their toes into the vast ocean of verse.Create Art Podcast has always been a haven for artists to share their creative processes, and NaPoWriMo offers a unique opportunity for poets to reflect on their craft. With a daily commitment to producing poetry, participants discover new facets of their writing style, experiment with various forms, and explore uncharted emotional territories.Prompt for todayToday's (optional) prompt asks you to write a poem of at least ten lines in which each line begins with the same word (e.g., “Because,” “Forget,” “Not,” “If”). This technique of beginning multiple lines with the same word or phrase is called anaphora, and has long been used to give poems a driving rhythm and/or a sense of puzzlebox mystery. To give you more context, here's an essay by Rebecca Hazelton on her students' “adventures in anaphora,” and a contemporary poem that uses anaphora to great effect: Layli Long Soldier's “Whereas.”Poem for TodayListless Is How 14 April 24 Listless is how I wake Looking at my goals of the day What I need to accomplish Needless chores each and every day Actions that won't be remembered in perpetuity Listless is how I feel As the motions that are meaningless begin to take shape Looking at all the things I want to fill this hole in my soul Watching the dust pile up I can't even keep up with cataloging the objects that I once thought I desired Listless is how I live my life Without interest in the outcome Without passion that used to drive me on Without the interest in learning new things Without challenging the status quo Listless is how I move through the day Pushing through the fog that is comprised of mental strain Pushing through the obstacles I place in front of me Pushing through the mud that becomes paintings Pushing through the words on the page Listless is how I sleep Never getting the rest that I find is required Never inspired by what I see in dreams Never recharging myself and taking naps that pushes me farther behind Never catching up and going ahead of where I want to be Listless is how I never wanted to be Avoiding the trap of thinking none of this...

Regardless of what happens in Iowa, our movement has become a listless vessel that has no fixed beliefs or sense of direction. We drift along with the grift like a rudderless boat. I go through the latest news with Trump attacking Vivek and how it is emblematic of the entire fake movement. I also explain why Trump is a controlled opposition within a controlled opposition to neutralize the hard right so that we will never have an effective movement to fight back against the uniparty. There is a reason Trump is racking up the endorsements from the very status quo members of Congress who are selling us out on every issue. No matter what happens with this primary, we will have to deal with the damage of a movement that has become susceptible to being hijacked by slick-talking political pirates. There's a reason the fake Right went ballistic when DeSantis called them “listless vessels.” Today, I explain how the entire conservative movement is just a listless vessel that drifts off into the wind based on the flavor of the day without any fixed policy objectives. I use this thesis to review the news of the day, analyze the debates, and capture the state of play in the presidential race. Also, COVID fascism is coming back because we failed to push for a reckoning, and still, the right-leaning media doesn't care. Also, beware of individuals suddenly embraced by conservative media for no apparent reason. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
The Trump campaign and MAGA world strongly criticized Florida Governor Ron DeSantis on Saturday for his remarks that seemed to characterize some of the former president's supporters as "listless vessels."
Meadows told the DOJ that he couldn't recall Trump declassifying documents. In talks with prosecutors, Hunter Biden's lawyers vowed to put the president on the stand. Trump campaign bills DeSantis' "listless vessel”' remark as "deplorables" moment. Vivek Ramaswamy says he'd run the government like Elon Musk runs Twitter. She hung a Pride flag at her shop. She was killed over it, officials say. Joe Biden's DOJ is claiming “there is no Constitutional right to a stable climate.” Buyers of Bored Ape NFTs sue after digital apes turn out to be bad investment.
