One of the biggest guests in the history of the podcast, the Star Citizen, stops by to share an important PSA. However, things get heated when his dog walker interrupts the episode. Want to go deeper than guidebooks and monuments? Try connecting with a place through your taste buds. In this episode, I chat with Angelo Carotenuto, founder of LivTours, about how to connect with Europe through food — one bite, one story, one unforgettable experience at a time.Angelo shares how food is more than just fuel when you travel. It's a sensory gateway into culture, history and daily life — whether you're sipping wine at an outdoor cafe in Paris or rolling pasta in a local Tuscan kitchen. What we dish up in this episode:Why food is one of the most meaningful ways to connect with EuropeHow regional traditions shape what (and how) people eat — spoiler: not all carbonara is created equalWhat makes a truly great food tour (hint: it's not tiny samples)Cooking classes that feel like home — and actually teach you something you'll cook againWhy small groups create deeper, more personal food experiencesYou'll also get a peek into LivTours' new cooking school and the delightfully personal cooking class set in Angelo's mom's Roman kitchen (yes, for real — it's the dream). If you're craving a more authentic way to experience Europe, this conversation will inspire you to explore it one plate at a time.

What if the secret to happiness isn't found in perfection, but in celebrating yourself and finding joy in everyday moments? In this special birthday episode, Rebecca Greene shares her reflections as she turns 49, offering 10 life lessons she's learned about joy, parenting, and relationships. Rebecca and Seth discuss practical wisdom about celebrating yourself, being a "tour guide" rather than a controller in parenting, and finding small joys throughout each day. This heartfelt episode combines personal storytelling with actionable advice for parents and anyone looking to live more joyfully. Key Takeaways ➤ Celebrate Yourself: Don't just celebrate everyone else - make your birthday special, be proud of your age, and teach your family how to celebrate you too. ➤ Find Small Joys All Day Long: Get excited about your coffee, your walk, reading a book, or watching TV with your spouse - happiness comes from appreciating everyday moments. ➤ Be the Tour Guide, Not the Controller: Your role as a parent isn't to control your kids, but to facilitate and guide them as needed, especially as they grow older and become more independent. ➤ Connection Over Correction: Before jumping to criticism, ask yourself if what you're about to say will bring you closer to your loved one or push them further away. ➤ Just Show Up: Your kids and spouse don't need you to be perfect - they just want you to be present and show up when it matters. Memorable Quotes"I just want to enjoy every day. Book the freaking trip... my favorite memories are our traveling memories." "Your kid doesn't want you to be perfect, and your husband doesn't want you to be perfect. They want you to show up." Deep into the 23rd Century. Zaphyr, rich in valuable sapphires, is Earth's newest colony. A murder has occurred there. Tiago Rollo, a young cadet, has been assigned with leading a manhunt to find the murderer.Tiago Rollo is not your average cadet. Shorter and more sensitive than the other cadets, he is something of a misfit, but there is a quality about him that leads the Captain to believe he is the best man for the job. Little does the Captain know that Tiago will inadvertently uncover a deep secret at the heart of Planet Zaphyr which will threaten the whole existence of the colony. Links www.LiverpoolTours.com The Book of Top 10 Beatles Lists (Amazon Link) www.BookOfTop10BeatlesLists.com Liverpool Tours on Facebook International Beatle Week Visit Liverpool Website Takeaways Charles Rosenay has been a Beatles tour guide since 1983. Liverpool has transformed into a vibrant cultural destination. The Cavern Club is a must-visit for Beatles fans. Emotional reactions from fans often include tears of joy. Beatles Week in August is the best time to visit Liverpool. Hidden gems like the Jacaranda are essential stops. The Beatles' childhood homes are significant historical sites. Balancing myth and history is crucial in storytelling. Liverpool's character is shaped by its people and culture. The internet has changed how Beatles tourism operates. Soundbites 1. The Origin Story "I fell in love with them like millions of other people of a certain age on February 9th, 1964 when they appeared on the Ed Sullivan show. Watched it, fell 100% in love with it, realized there was more to the world than just monster movies and kindergarten and baseball." 2. Liverpool as Sacred Ground "Liverpool was that holy land, the holy grail destination for me. When I was young, I would clip every article, everything that said John Paul, George Ringo. But I would also, if it said the tall ships are sailing into Liverpool, I would cut that out." 3. The Emotional Kiss "She got off the coach, set foot in Liverpool, bowed down and kissed the ground. I said, you guys planned that, huh? She goes, 'No, my gosh. That was so spontaneous. I didn't even think I was going to do that.'" 4. The Fifth Beatle Revelation "There was that debate, if you're a Beatles fan, the debate was who was the fifth Beatle? Was it Brian Epstein? Was it Billy Preston? Was it George Martin? The fifth Beatle was Liverpool. Liverpool is a personality, it's a lifestyle, it's humor." 5. Liverpool's Transformation "Back then it was just a dingy, scaffolded, gray like slum backyard area. I remember putting my ears against the walls and just trying to dream what it would be like hearing the Beatles play through these walls. Now it's completely embraced the entire tourism industry." 6. The Cavern Club Legacy "The Beatles played there over 300 times. It was literally their residency. Life was music and you wanted to be the band that played there. If you do one place that you want to capture the rock and roll and that era and the sweat and the music, it's the Cavern Club for sure." 7. 100% Satisfaction Guarantee "I am so proud, blessed, lucky, I don't know what the word is, 100% satisfaction from the people who go on the tour. Even the best five-star posh restaurant will have its off day. I forgot what your question was, but I think I went on a little tangent there." 8. The Magic of Spontaneity "Julian Lennon is doing a signing at a toy store in London in two hours. I said, you know what? We're changing our schedule. We can be in Liverpool two or three hours later. We're all going to this event. The 30 of us were in line for him. Eight other people came besides us." 9. Seeing Through Fresh Eyes "When they get excited, 'Can you take a picture of me crossing Abbey Road?' I know it. I had that feeling in 83 and 84, 85, and year after year. It's the joy of the people going and me loving it vicariously through their eyes and emotions." 10. Beatles Week Magic "During Beatle Week, you're literally walking street to street to street, hearing nonstop Beatle music. You just pour out Beatles music and that could be a plus or a minus if you're a Beatles fan—this is it, you're in heaven." This is an Encore Presentation of my November 2021 interview with David Bedford, premier Beatles historian and expert, and Liverpool tour guide. David is from Liverpool, England - the hometown of John, Paul, George and Ringo - and is considered one of the world's foremost Beatles experts. He's written books on the Fab Four, gives Beatle tours in Liverpool, and had a prominent role in the documentary “Looking For Lennon”. David talks about the history and significance of Liverpool, the relationship of the city to the Beatles, and tells the back stories behind “Penny Lane” and “Strawberry Fields Forever”. My featured song in this episode is “I Wanna Be Your Girl” from the album East Side Sessions by my band Project Grand Slam.
