One of the best things that ever happened to me was being given up by my real dad.    The next best thing was being abused by my step-dad.    I know, it sounds dark, but here's what happened as a result:    When my kids arrived on this planet, it pushed me to not quit on myself.    When another child was introduced into my life (Amy's son Asher), I took on the role of including him and even successfully adopting him.  (I know what it's like when people quit on me; I wasn't going to do that to him)    As a result of having these children in my life, I had a chance to be the father I didn't have.    I'm not completely shitting on my 2 dads............I did learn some good things from each one of them, but the biggest gift they gave me was the clarity needed to become the Dad I needed.     I became that Dad.    If you told me tomorrow was my last day on this planet, and asked me one of my greatest accomplishments, it would be being a father to my children and excelling in this area.    My kids are good kids.  They have manners and use them.  They know how to operate heavy equipment and are responsible with it. Let's flash forward into the future 3 years.     You're applying for a job and you're going up against someone with an MBA.  That person is well-qualified and is probably the more attractive candidate for the job.    Let's say you have an Associates degree, but you happened to learn A.I. along the way.     You've implemented it in every single job you've had over the last 3 years.    When it comes time to getting an offer letter, if the person with the MBA hasn't mastered A.I., they're not going to land that job over you.    That's the good news.    Keep in mind, companies like Sony are not going to come here and invest tons of money and ignore cheap labor.     Sure, they'll be here for a season, but the United States is not going to pay the high wages commanded by the American workforce, especially when there are ways to scale a company by simply using A.I.    There will be no unions to pay, 401K, retirement, etc.    It's not a viable proposition.    I say that to say this............   A couple of years ago, I had close to 100 employees.    Today, I have 30, thanks to A.I.    Each one of them knows how to leverage A.I.   They are agents of A.I. and this is what future employers will be in search of.    So, if you're thinking about what you should be focused on now..............it's becoming an agent of A.I.      About the ReWire Podcast The ReWire Podcast with Ryan Stewman – Dive into powerful insights as Ryan Stewman, the HardCore Closer, breaks down mental barriers and shares actionable steps to rewire your thoughts. One thing you need to know in life, especially as an entrepreneur is you're going to lose money.    Whether you leave it in your jeans pocket and wash it or lose money from a business transaction go wrong, take the lesson in each one of those experiences.    Once I bought into a seed round of a company that is publicly traded.     I spent $100 K but I was thinking it would be huge like FB. Back in my drug dealing days, my connect, C-Pain had hundreds of pounds of weed and tons of kilos of coke.     One of the runners showed up citing he needed more time to get C-Pain his money, but that he needed more stuff to push until he got paid.    C-Pain firmly told him no.    The guy proceeds to get loud and starts acting ungrateful saying things like, "You need me to push your shit!"   C-Pain wasn't having it and proceeded to crack the dude on the forehead with the butt of his gun and told him to get the fuck out.    Apparently, the guy couldn't take "No" for an answer.    That guy was never able to sell drugs again.     C-Pain looked at me and said, "Let that be a lesson.  We can unplug you from the connect."    That got me thinking about how entitled people are in thinking they deserve a job.    They deserve an opportunity.    Fact: We don't deserve shit.    You always find out who someone is when you tell them "No."     Whatever they show you or say in that moment is who they are.    Believe them.    About the ReWire Podcast The ReWire Podcast with Ryan Stewman – Dive into powerful insights as Ryan Stewman, the HardCore Closer, breaks down mental barriers and shares actionable steps to rewire your thoughts.
