Day 6 of the Boston Celtics Newsfeed's 30-day preview series leading up to opening night of the 2017-18 NBA season. Today, CLNS Newsfeed Manager Mike Walsh talks more of the mass exodus from the Eastern Conference with All-Star Paul Millsap joining Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets. Visit CLNSRadio.com/boston-celtics-news for Walsh's extensive written preview. Tune back in tomorrow when Walsh chats with David Ostrowsky about his preview for Avery Bradley's new squad, the Detroit Pistons.
The Boston Celtics are the only team to beat the Golden State Warriors at Oracle Arena in each of the last two regular seasons after Wednesday's triumph over the 52-12 Warriors, however, Celtics players are fully aware that Wednesday's win will mean nothing in the Eastern Conference standings if they falter tonight in Denver. Plus, Guerschon Yabusele is reportedly on his way to Boston.
The Denver Nuggets defeated the Boston Celtics 123-107 Sunday night at the TD Garden. Emmanual Mudiay – who had previously shot a putrid 27% through five games – walked into the arena on fire, as he put up 24 first quarter points, and the Nuggets jumped out to a 42-23 lead after one. Although Mudiay would tack on just six more points the rest of the way, as a team, the Nuggets out-hustled and out-executed the Celtics on this night.
