Former NBA player and Atlanta Hawks GM Landry Fields joins Ric Bucher for a special edition of On The Ball to pull back the curtain on Project B, the ambitious new global basketball league aiming to rethink how professional basketball is played, presented and consumed.Fields, now Project B's head of men's basketball, confirms that players are already signed, says recognizable names are coming to the men's side and reveals that announcements should begin rolling out soon. He explains why Project B believes it can lure elite talent with player equity, fewer games and back-to-backs, competitive compensation, greater career longevity and opportunities to build truly global brands. Fields also lays out Project B's unusual F1-style global model, integrating men and women on the same platform while taking events to cities and countries around the world. He discusses the worldwide search for talent, why the women are currently leading Project B's development, and what he learned about leadership, culture and decision-making from stops with the San Antonio Spurs, Atlanta Hawks and Overtime Elite.Fields also gets candid about his Hawks tenure and the lesson he carries forward: when you're the decision-maker, set the vision, own the vision and build toward it.And, yes, Ric also uncovers one of the more unexpected chapters of Fields' résumé: the former Knick once impersonated Nicki Minaj, Pitbull and Lionel Richie on national television. André Holland has built an acclaimed career through performances in Moonlight, Selma, The Knick, High Flying Bird, and more—but his deepest calling reaches far beyond the screen. In this conversation with Mick Hunt, André shares how his parents and his Bessemer, Alabama community taught him to move with integrity, care for his gifts, and stay shoulder to shoulder with the people who helped him flourish. He opens up about the teacher who made him feel truly seen, the responsibility he feels to create opportunities for emerging voices, and why commitment is the word he hopes will define his life. André also discusses They Fight, his preparation as a character actor, Harper Road, and the Holland Project's restoration of Bessemer's historic Lincoln Theatre. On this Nostalgia Test Mini episode, Dan, Manny, & Billy react to & celebrate The NY Knicks' historic NBA Finals game 4 comeback and put their sports memories to the ultimate test—THE NOSTALGIA TEST! “Biggest comeback in NBA Finals history.” -Billy D'Elia On June 10th, 2026, while Dan, Manny, & Billy were recording the Major League & Mall Memories episodes, The New York Knicks were mounting the greatest comeback in NBA Finals history. This episode is an immediate reaction to that win. The guys talk about their conflicting emotions and relationship to The Knicks since they were kids, how Dan hasn't watched a Knick game since the dreaded Patrick Ewing finger roll debacle, what it's like suffering as a fan, and Billy unearths a crazy Mineola-New York Knicks connection. And the episode then goes off the Nostalgia Test Podcast rails (per usual) and the guys talk about diner fights, The World Cup, celebrity fans, The new Meet the Parents, sports fandom and front runners and all the nepo team owners. Dan, Manny, and Billy cover a ton of stuff in under 30 minutes and blurt out all forms of the word f***so many times that they should get an award. So, put on your favorite NBA jersey, turn up those NY accents, and shout the word f*** at the top of your lungs, because this is a NY celebration. *** If you love what we're doing and want to support the podcast so we can keep this show going with better equipment and maybe meet up with each other to do some in-person recording, sponsor to The Nostalgia Test: buymeacoffee.com/nostalgiatest Lastly, we're looking to be booked for podcast appearances, hosting gigs and parties, maybe you have a block party coming up, a BBQ that you want to be Nostalgia themed and you're looking to make it seriously memorable, a reunion, etc., contact us to book the podcast. The longest-tenured Knick is no more, as Mitchell Robinson has signed with the hated Celtics on a three-year deal. MLB Network's Robert Flores blows the lid off the Mets' catastrophic implosion, officially confirming the explosive clubhouse drama between Juan Soto and Francisco Lindor. Meanwhile, Gordon shamelessly begs to join the show's elite Twitter inner circle—comparing the ultra-exclusive follow list to walking on the moon—before furious callers completely nuke 42-year-old LeBron James and "loser" Kevin Durant. Reigning world-champion Knick fans are officially screaming that they don't need aging superstars glomming onto their glory, proving that the throne in New York belongs to Jalen Brunson alone!
Mitchell Robinson is no longer a Knick, pointing directly to James Dolan's stance on the second apron. The debate centers on whether the Knicks owner should have written the check to keep a key piece of a championship team together, or whether moving on from Mitch was the right basketball and financial call. Evan and Shaun weigh Robinson's impact, his free throw issues, his move to Boston, and how Knicks fans should react when he returns to Madison Square Garden. They also touch on the Nets' quiet offseason, Jaylen Brown trade hypotheticals, and whether Sean Marks missed a chance to make a bigger move.
Shaun is in for Tiki as Evan Roberts breaks down why Mitchell Robinson is no longer a Knick, arguing that the decision comes back to James Dolan and the second apron. The conversation digs into whether Dolan should have written the check, how much Mitch truly meant to the Knicks, and why fans can still appreciate him even after he lands with the Celtics. The hour also looks around the NBA as the Celtics move Jaylen Brown, the Sixers suddenly become a bigger threat, and the Nets face questions about their quiet offseason. Evan and Shaun take calls on the Knicks, Nets, Yankees, and Mets while mixing in plenty of detours, from Yankee Stadium parenting advice to a wild Paul Skenes trade idea.

David Faber and Sara Eisen broke down the days biggest movers - from a new Apple partnership sending Intel shares surging to another day of losses for SpaceX. Plus: hear a deep-dive on what Fed Chairman Warsh's inflation battle could mean for investors still expecting rate cuts, and more on Accenture's results with the company's CEO - as those shares plunge double-digits and even hit stocks of competitors like IBM. Elsewhere in the hour, the team also discussed the economic impact of the Knick's championship run as their celebration parade kicked off in downtown Manhattan.
